  • this is really good pop but terrible reggae, what happened to all the fun supervillains ska without all the effected vocals and cheesy 90's rap synth. if you liked this song listen to their previous albums because they're on a whole other level (p.s. the live and acoustic versions of this song are so good)

  • the crunch part of the gitar doesn't fit, the rest is very good.

  • meh i like supervillans but the fuckin autotunes unessesary

  • just good music... love the fact that they are experimenting with their music.

  • Whoa, what's with the auto-tune bro? Still good, but it could have been better without it.

  • @TheForeignersNetwork go to moboogie.com and search supervillians. there is a really good acoustic version on the second page for the supervillians

  • "if you think i'm gonna stay while you treat me this way you're gonna lose."

  • new supervillians, meaga pwn. plain and simple

  • I think the Supervillains new sound is great, although it wasn't QUITE what I expected. It's full on reggae with some ska and even a few rocksteady elements now, which is fine with me. I do like their older stuff better (Horseshoes & Hand Grenades being my favorite - though Smoke 'Em is probably my favorite Supervillains song).

  • @jwboyd85652 Oh, and I couldn't help but notice that this album has not even one single mention of the herb...I wonder why that is...

  • I saw them at Sunfest when I was back in FL. They put on awesome show! I also saw them in Greensboro, NC opening for the Wailers.

  • Oh and im seeing the supervillains on the 7th so this saturday! first time! and i hope that theyll play more of the ganja music not so much punkish stuff. but anyway i cant wait! CHYEAH!

  • osama bin f**king ladin is dead! nice work america! i just smoked my white widow for our victory over that d*ckhead CHYEAH!

  • im not really diggin the new supervillains i think they need to go back to massive ir grow yer own

  • i love this song

  • IM SO HAPPY NEW SUPERVILLAINS FUCK YEEAH

  • everyone needs to calm down and realize that this music was created for relaxation. so... chillllllllll ooooouuuuuttttt. supervillains, jam out

  • @knot2clvr dude i love their earlier stuff...

  • This economy is hitting bands too; the free market favors easy listening. I'm certainly not going to fault them for making the smart choice of changing style to stay in the music business. Their old stuff really wasnt that great to begin with (their cover of billy joel representing the best they had to offer). Case and point, kudos Supervillains, on doing what you got to, to stay in the music game.

  • @knot2clvr You're assuming their goal is to make money. "stay in the music business."? They were never part of that music business to begin with. They're in the ska/reggae business, where selling out requires banishment. The last three times they've come through here they've played with Less than Jake, Streetlight Manifesto, and the Mad Caddies. It doesn't even make sense to me.

That being said, a few of the new songs are growing on me.

  • @JMort95 Yeah, I do. I like their older material better, but the new CD has a few good tunes. Just had to warm up to it a bit.

  • this is one of my favorite songs by the supervillains! "i tried to build a garden to help my mind grow", simply lyrical bliss. CHYEAH!!!

  • @Speedy1018 I tried to start a garden, where my mind could grow...

  • damn good jamz from the supervillains

  • why are good bands pushing this stupid voice synth shit? ugh..

  • @dasgemuse Because it's in. Just listen to how The Supervillains have changed. This can't be viewed as progression for a ska band, I'm sorry. They're dumbing down their sound to appeal to the push in popularity of reggae bands.

  • @asweffh owl city meets supervillains.

  • @dasgemuse reminds me more of bands like the hippos and mad caddies of the early 2000's than owl city. keyboards were big in ska bands then. I've always liked the sound combination.
