Alright so after taking off my themes, i could navigate faster through my pages of apps, but they still weren't opening and often crashing. But then I started disabling other things, deleting old themes and old sources, and it feels so much faster! Oh and by the way, I'm with you, performance over beauty! Thanks a bunch man!

@Supreme080 download an app called Crash Reporter from cydia and it should have the most recent crashes and what caused it. uninstall those apps that caused the crash and you should be good

What the hell? Just disable the themes. That mainly the point of jailbroken iPods: different looks. But yeah there is a theme called iOverclock and an addon to it called Speed Intensifier. But it only overclocks the core processer by about 150 mhz. Which isn't all that much of a difference but it works. You can also underclock it if you want to save some battery. Note: Overclock will really eat a lot of your battery. You can also disable summerboard in winterboard but some themes will be disable

also to make it faster just delete all the stuff you dont use, like if you have 15 themes and your only useing 1 delete the other 14 it will make it much faster, and stuff like gruppled lockinfo will really slow it down. the 5icon dock makes it REALLY slow. and stuff like memtool, istat, ect. apps that free up mem. the memory is still there those apps just move it to differnent folders so thats just wasting memory

Jailbreak: 4.0 firmware or lower. For all you jailbreakers out there having issues with phone running slow with RedSn0w on 4.0, 4.01, 4.02,, restore IPhone to 3.1.2 firmware, make sure you back up your shsh files on cydia, jailbreak using Blackra1n. Install cydia, and add repo666.ultrasn0w to source for unlock and tether. Have a great morning.
