Their live performance in 93 for Radio friendly and Scentless Apprentice was a clinic (search for it if you haven't seen it) and you realize "Fuck, they were ahead of the game" and, just like that, it derailed. @Nexus1013 although it's not necessarily 'grunge', Brand New's new album Daisy sounds a lot like In Utero in parts... I consider it the modern day In Utero... maybe Brand New will be a part of this movement in the future.

The performers of that day were late 60's babies, so they grew up in a grittier/tougher time and were the last one to do so. Growing up with Vietname, 81 hostage, economic and political shit...with no youtube/twitter/google/facebook to turn to. No cell phones/etc. That's why they were all so damn angry ;)
