The main reason they lost isn't because this is fake, but instead they underestimated him. If you saw a naked rogue running you, and you're in rank 14 gear, would you be like "omg i gata be serious!" no, so that's mainly why they lost.

In pre-tbc everything was balanced, you had to have some skills to kill an opponent. Maybe it was easier to kill eachother, but you had to have skills to not die.

But when a rogue has no gear on and a 1.2 dps dagger and kills rank 14 allys, you have to be skilled. You cant argue with that.

Well if a rogue caught you back before the burning crusade you were pretty much fucked ;) Frost mages and rogues were the most OP back then i remember but i have to agree with DaStyle1990, back then you had no pvp trinkets which resulted in harder to get away, nowadays i can get away from a stunlock rogue and nuke the crap out of him :P But i do miss the world PvP... it totally dissapeared in TBC :(
