@shirtlessguy88 Ill tell you why I prefer the original v/o. Obviously the actors are the same, But the acting itself is half ass and lazy compared to he original. There's no emotion or personality in their voices, everyone sounds like they're reading off a script. And the voices that did change are overdone or Ill fitting. Granted it could be alot worse, I think voice acting is important for a game like this. And believe me that's not the only flaw in this game

I don't get why people are so pissy about the voice acting in this version? Just about everyone was voiced by the same person as they were in the original. Liquid still sounds smug and badass just as he had before.

They should've tried to get Chris Hitchens to voice Liquid...now that would be awesome! The voice actors sound terrible, except for the best voice actor ever in Mr. David Hayter. The graphics and Hayter's voice are the only positives in this remake.

And dodging the bullets on the jeep scenes kind of stupid they kinda fucked up the remake for the Pubecube.

In the torture scene after you submit (if you submit) Ocelot says "Heh heh I'll have my fun with her before I kill her", which I know could mean just torture but then again in the end if you DO save Meryl she says "I didn't submit to the torture... and things... even worse than that." and "through all the pain.... and shame... there was one hope that I still held on to. I wanted to see you again." :(

He says, "Until the very end Liquid thought that he was the inferior one. Of course the other one (Snake) thinks so to." The president at the time was Solidus, "the well-balanced masterpiece". So Liquid strong and Solid shitty in terms of genetics.

Actually it says that they incorporated the control mechanisms, modes and features from MGS2 into MGS1 to make the game. That's why you can shoot in FPS mode and collect dogtags aswell as the graphical upgrade.

The game cannot guess if you already killed many people until this part or not. Besides, the cyborg ninja is considered a lunatic because of his behaviour, not just because of the amount of people he killed.

The visuals weren't that poor, compared to 'Mission Impossible' and 'BatMan Of The Future'. The PSOne console has the power to create animated faces in real time (watch the game 'The Legend of Dragoon'), but the creators of the original 'Metal Gear Solid' preffered to keep it simple. I know they could have done better, but they kept the pixelated faces non-animated. And of course, they had to make their heads move, otherwise the stupid players wouldn't know which character was talking.

For the record smartass I HAVE played ALL the games starting with MGS1 and following that the sequels (MGS2, MGS4) and prequels (MGS3, MPO) not to mention Metal Gear 1 and 2 hell I even beat this one! How about you play the damn games again and you'll see Liquid, sometime before his demise, chose Ocelot as his host and stole RAY at the end of MGS2 and Ocelot became Liquid completley until the end of MGS4 when Ocelot finally regains control and starts using his own personality before he dies.

Actually, he removed the arm at the end of MGS2, proving that Ocelot had the dominant control. I don't know if he knew he (Ocelot) was a spiritual medium, but Ocelot grafted the so he could "tap into" Liquid from time to time so the patriots would believe that Ocelot was no longer himself. Then, at MGS2 end, he removed the arm and put on a cybernetic, then hypnotized himself into believeing he WAS Liquid. But yes, only at the end of the fight does he free himself from his hypnotism.
