ED, I'd love to buy the Pandora, but it's alot expensive. I've never seen any 500$ portable console. At a 250-300$ price tag it would be very attractive IMO. But considerating you have no investors to make it open, it is very nice.

This is a prototype run before Germany production begins, as you may know, there were a lot of problems with the old production company.

This would be fucking awesome if the hardware wasn't like 3 years old. $500 for a Texas Instruments OMAP3530 processor at 600MHz with 256 MB or RAM.

@jack3927417 If that is all you see in the pandora then you do not understand what it is. That is ok. Most people do not understand most things.

@maridejun I fully understand what it is and have been following it since the beginning. This device is just literally not worth $500. I would totally buy it if it was $300. Their inability to keep up with current standards is their downfall. For $500 dollars I could have a new laptop which is far more practical. This project will die because it's not economical. It's producers didn't have enough start up capital to manufacture this in a cost effective way that makes it a worthwhile product.

@jack3927417 the problem with the laptop comparison is, that you can't carry it around in your pocket so a mobile phone comparison would be more fair. The pandora is outdated, no doubt about that, but so is e.g. the 3ds from nintendo.

Wow, it really shows that GC are a company that care about doing a job well, and the transparency of the Pandora construction process at the moment has restored my faith in the project.

This video is the best Xmas present I got this year, Thank You ED and team for your continued efforts in the face of hardships I simply can not imagine. You're a credit to the human species.

I really want to love my Pandora, but all it has going for it over my Android phone (Galaxy S2) is the keyboard, because if I get an iControlPad the S2 will have the exact same gaming buttons as the Pandora. The lack of a keyboard on my phone is a big problem though. Whilst the Wi-Fi/browsing is much faster, typing is a pain.

This aside, I don't know what the Pandora has for me. I've supported you guys for ages and you're doing a great thing. But most of what it can do Android can do better. :(

@Holliefant ED hat schon angekündigt, dass die neuen Boards 512 MB RAM haben werden, nur der Bootloader muss noch entsprechend umgestellt werden, daher steht da 384 MB

I was interested in the pandora when it first was announced, but now it seems to toy-ish.

But hopefully the first pandora goes well enough that a second one, hopefully more powerful can be made without huge problems. Cheers mate.

Thank you for your constant updates. Without them the trust in the Pandora would have sunk and you wouldn´t be able to attract enough investors. I have good hope that I will receive my Pandy soon after production starts as I am an early second batcher...

@wadesmit Must be regional differences. In America, I've only ever heard it pronounced "sawdurr," though I'll be the first to admit that it makes no sense to pronounce it that way. It's definitely not "soldier" though, I think we can all agree on that. XD No offense to Dragon, we all know English isn't his first language and he speaks it very well given that.
