To me the Saturator sounds best, nice saggy sound especially how it gives after the pick attack. It's a little too "samey" with the DS-1. Some people think Satch's newer stuff is boring and tone sucks, I'm in the camp of it's the coolest sound he's had. The More setting is where it's at, don't know for the regular setting it's almost the same on both but the more is definitely awesome/what I'm looking for. It's can make one note mean a lot more.
To me, I hear the Sachurator causing your soundcard to clip out a bit, giving me the impression that it sends a much stronger signal than the DS-1; which should be a good representation of what your paying for. The DS-1 I think sounds better through your setup, but the Sachurator probably kills the DS-1 live through a good amp.

The Satchurator has a brighter edge which I don't think fits in with my idea of a hard distortion sound. From what I hear from the pedal elsewhere, the tone control seems to roll off bass or treble content. Not to my liking.
I think I'll go for the newer Dist. pedals with more bass kick and notched highs.
You can't let these these pedals breathe through a sound card. You've got to test them through a good tube amp to have any idea what they actually sound like.

I would have them both. The Satchurator gives me more fat sustained sound, but DS-1 gives me more clean sound - that is different ways I use them. Now I have Satchurator only, but actualy will buy DS as well.
Nice demo of both pedals. I like the way you ABed them. I've been looking at the SatVox to add to my board which currently has a DS-1 and an SD-1. This provides a nice comparison.

But when I first tried the Satchurator, it blew my mind! The dynamics are great, and most Boss pedals lack that. You might not notice much of a difference at first, but after a while your ears will.
