Who knows if he is really a Shephard Chow. That is what they told us at the shelter...they just guess the breeds by looking at them and to be honest 95% of the time they are wrong. They already proved those wild guesses by comparing them to DNA test results...not even close. All I know is that he is a good dog.
Looks identical to my dog. even the way he holds his tail. I've been trying to figure out what kind of dog i have for a while. i guess I have a shepherd chow.
Let me second *most* of what Luana has said from my personal observation. We met up at a (huge!!) dog park a while ago. There was a dog who tried mounting Burns. Burns basically ignored the dog and did exactly what Luana told him too.
Unless you have at least the maximum legal limit for pets, you don't have enough!!! Are you familiar with the phrase, "the more the merrier?" Pets enrich our lives, filling mine with lots and lots of love.

did they tell you it was a shephard chow mix? I really don't know for sure what Burns mix is...that is what we are guessing.
