Not what the hipsters have labeled as the indie "sound", cuz I don't believe there is such a thing (indie has more to do with methods and record labels than an actual lo-fi sound). Their last few albums sucked balls because they were under contract with the major label for a certain amount of albums, not years. So they put out as much shit as they could as fast as they could so that they could be free from the label and go independent.

Idk about some of you guys, but dissonance is what has made some Weezer songs work. Personally, I like that this album has its shades of Pinkerton laced in throughout. Still a bit too poppy for my taste, but it's better than Red album or Raditude. I still have hope for Weezer to make at least one more album like Blue Album.

@russianfantastico I tend to agree with you. When I listen to a song I don't want it to sound static-y or like there is something wrong with my head phones. I like clearity. But I guess some people like the opposite so they have to cover all bases.

lol this album is ATLEAST in the top 5 of their 8 albums they released. its better by quite a distance than red album, raditude and make believe and is debatably better than the green album and maladroit. i think it is making it their third best.

Respond to this video... there are no great songs on this album ,they cover colplay . rivers is probably my favorite song writer. all of their other albums including Alone and 2 i had no problem finding a few songs that i loved on the first play through. but disappointingly not hurley. i have listened to it 4 times and i know it will grow on me but if it was any other band i wouldn't have given it a so many chances so i agree with parisianpancakes.
