I've lived here 40 years and it just keeps getting better (apart from Palmerston and its dreary suburbs), and I am from England so don't take any notice of all the bad stuff - it sure beats freezing on a London Bus.
I lived in Darwin from 1979 to 1991. My dad was the Dean of Christ Church Cathedral (the one that is built into the side of the hill) from 1984 to 1992. I quite liked Darwin but would never live there again. It's to hot and to far away from anything. It's nice seeing videos like this though, and to see how much it has changed. It was a bit of a dump when I lived there.
I lived in Darwin and Groote Eylandt for 3 years. Paradise is a good description for the months of May to September. Darwin is a fantastic place to be then. There is plenty going on. Out of those months, buy plenty of the appropriate cream for the 'Darwin Rash'. If you can get to Groote, the fishing is like nowhere else on earth.
Awsome Anglo aryan propaganda vid for young anglo families and retirees. And WTF with the English narration - is that to promote Anglo repatriation or Anglo repatriation?
Love that one 'coloured' woman 'serving' food with a smile however and the didgereedoo music overlay.
Poms beware- the weather is f###king hot and the reality might be too!!!
I feel the WWII stuff ; "Oh, and by the way, this place was bombed more by the Japanese than any other place", shouldn't be an immediate issue, despite it's historical accuracy.
Drop it back a little bit.
What about all the other stuff this place is unique for?
