I can only confirm that when you fall and don´t feel any pain (even when falling on your head), you simply refuse treatment. People, especially learners fall while skiing or skating, it is a "normal" thing.

Moreover, she was only on a bunny slope and she was not fast either.

The Quebec hospital totally failed to see that she obviously had a brain injury - all that would have been needed to be done was to shine a light into her eyes and look for reactions, and then order other tests to confirm it.

If they had done these things, the pressure inside her skull could have been quickly relieved with either drugs or surgery, and she would probably be alive and healthy right now instead of going brain dead.

No, I'm not a doctor, but both my brother and I have been the victims of both skiing and snowboarding accidents here in the USA, and guess what? We're still alive and healthy, and I was right there in the ER when I saw my brother being checked out by the staff and shining a penlight into his eyes. They ran CT scans on him just as a precaution too. Luckily he was okay with just a concussion.

So far, I haven't heard about the Canuck hospitals doing any of these things for Natasha Richardson.

She was taken to NY so she could be close to her family because death was already imminent. Doctor's in both countries have already confirmed this.

I learned my lesson the hard way but was lucky!

Ive never gone on the slopes since without wearing a helmet.

My kids went skiing for the first time this year; with helmets!
