You did an amazing job with this beautiful 'Vette! Just one question/criticism: did you remember to put the driver side rear view mirror back on after this video was made?
fantastic restoration buddy.i watched your video for the 1st time today only because i started my own restoration on my 69 vette yesterday & was looking for info on how its done when i came across your video.super tribute to your dad, he has to be so proud of you & is still smileing.thank you for the inspiration. all the best. mitch
what you bring in is what you take back thats why you never see a hearse with a luggage rack (george s) your dad is 4 yrs. younger then me, and i appreciate every day im still here. good luck with the vett. (save the rack)
as far as the suspension, if you look at the order sheet, it had a factory gymkhana suspension for rigidity, the engine was also blueprinted at the TOnawanda factory.
the only thing we experienced racing it was compression springs breaking. It did not do well at the drags because of the rear end gears. We road raced and did scca with it super a production.
This is my car Eric, get in touch with us...and, as far as the gay luggage rack, we needed it. This car was midwest region scca champion many years in super a production
That's some some seriously impressive work man, especially for someone who doesn't have much experience (or claims not to). Looks like you did it right, from the ground up.
but in the c2 vettes (63-67) the chassis wasnt rigid enof so any bump or corner the cassis would flex alot so if you wanted to u could take apart the car and send the chassis to someone to get it reinforced.
wow man. i bet your tickled pink with that car. and your grandfather as well. your dad would be real proud of you. nice resto. thats what america is about. i love this video.
This video brought tears to my ears. IN fact as I write this I'm getting goose bumps. Your father would have been proud. Great job on the resto, Great job on the video and music selection. Cheap Thrill one of my favs. I am redoing a 74 that I have for 30 years,
I was woundering what audio selections you made. I'm loking for any other idea then the 4" in the dash and 6"X9" in the rear compartment.
Great job and best of luck with your beautifull ride.
damn that's tight i love stingrays a lil too much lol. nice job you guys did restoring it looks great!! were any modifications made to the engine after wards?

Great video, I really enjoyed it.
And that was the original engine??? Crazy that it still works, even after being worked on, things were build tough back then...
Also how do you restore the frame when its so damaged by rust??
ADEdge 1 year ago
@ADEdge to restore the chassis, you use a wire wheel or wire brush and a scrapper. a very tedious job.
