which is exactly why it's worth discussing. that something so incredibly fundamental as the day on which we vote- the day on which we exercise the right that's both the practical and philosophical basis of our government- isn't something we think about, or even think about thinking about.
by pointing out how distant we are from that consideration, we're trying to get people to consider these issues, and whether one of the MANY things america might look at in reforming its election system (which it needs to do on many fronts) is whether exclusively-tuesday voting helps or inhibits turnout.

yeah, did you know that the Patriot Act is one of the worst violations of Civilian Rights? He also voted against the FISA amendment.
