Nice work, we liked your video very much so we embedded it on ChefCommons . com w/ link back and reference to Youtube. (Let us know if you don't wish for it to be featured)
Where the hell do you get these none calories cause i've gone to sagya, the yam noodles had like 240 cals per serving! i really want them, where can i get them?
No problem. I'm just trying to help out, in anyway that I can. Thanks again for making this video. I can't wait to try it. Can this be eaten warm/hot?
it's really 4 calories per package of the shirakiku yam noodles. You're using the shirakiku white yam noodles, & the shirakiku brown yam noodles. so together those packages are all together 8 calories! it has 1/2 a gram of carbs per serving, which is 2 calories per 1/2 carb, there's 2 servings in each package, so that's 1 carb which is 4 calories per carb gram. but still 8 calories, is pretty low for noodles anyway, still good low cal, no fat noodles!make some more videos of the noodles!
Mehh Im just playin around.. Looks nice.. But I doubt I can buy those noodles at the grocery store near my house.. Do I need to go in a like.. Oriental food store or something?
I had a question...I wanted to make this but I was wondering when I saw you put the noodles in the pot to boil it looked like they were wet already...do you need to pre soak them or anything like that? I want to get it just right!!
When you buy them they are prepackaged with liquid and you will have to drain that first before cooking your noodles. Basically they are already cooked, but cooking them will get rid of its fishy smell/taste
well, they are really called konjac noodles but I guess the Japanese was translated into English as "yam" but on the package's nutritional facts states that it is 0 calories per serving, which doesn't mean is absolutly 0 calories, its just that the FDA allows food companies to list the amount as "0 grams" if the amount of is less than 0.5 grams per serving. But hey its still really really low calorie!
Rinse the noodles really good and don't cook them in boiling water for over a minute or they will be like chewing rubber. It will ruin them.

It looks wonderful but I wish there was a vegetarian version of this recipe!
SandraLondon63 4 years ago
Just dont add the chicken and it will be a vegetarian dish.
IOBeauty 4 years ago
Yes, I also thought that I could add shitake mushrooms (I am not sure how you call them in the States)instead of the chicken...
