I happen to know a kind of disturbing detail... The murder picked a raw slab of bacon out of the fridge that night, and the grease from the bacon could have been used either to cover up his scent which would make it harder for the dogs to track him, or as a lubricant.. People speculate if or not Lena Stillinger was molested before she was murdered, which makes this even freakier..

There is another EVP on youtube of a little girl screaming with a man's mumbled voice. I think the other one is Lena trying to fight off the killer while he was sexually asulting her. They say that Katherine Moore was awake while the killer or killers came in and starting killing her and her brothers. God, how awful!

I spent the day at this house a year back. Nothing special. It was interesting though. I chilled in the attic where the killer hid, and played the piano. For the most part, it seemed like a mockery of the family's memory. Using that horrible tragedy to lure hopeful romantics into handing over 15 bucks.

I want to go to this house so bad. Ever since I discovered the videos, I have been very interested in this story. It's so sad and tragic. Hopefully one day this family can rest in peace. If I ever become a paranormal investigator (which I doubt i will) this will be my first stop.

If you go to the Villisca axe murder website it says that photos of one of the girl's pupils indicated that she was awake when she was murdered and the only one to be awake. I wonder if this is her?

@Sabathiel1972 I talked with my Dad recently and we've been able to fig out that they are not relatives thankfully. He's working on our family tree and has gone back to the late 1800's-def Not a relative. Still makes me feel bad for the family tho-as I would regardless of who it was.

Sounds a bit like a death echo which is horrific if we make the assumption that it is one of the children. Their spirits are going to relive that terror over and over until eternity. So sad. :(

Maybe it was of the daughter bc I read that he murdered the parents b4 he murdered the children. so who to say the daughter woke up to hearing her father screaming and saw what happened but what fight can a small child have against a grown man. all the kids could do was scream. poor children and family! That was a horrible way to die.

@Hammotastic EXACTLY...I actually don't believe some of the EVPs...there is another in which a man is screaming...then how come the neighbours or passer bys didn't hear that....and how come the wife didn't shout (assuming that either of them was killed first).....there are many points that baffle me in these evps.....

Sad thing is, the murder still haunts the attic in which he hid till the household was fast asleep. Many are too afraid to stay in the attic to find out what he was going through right before he murdered the family and the children's friends. Or they just don't want to fight him to get the answers as to who he was in the first place. This case is still among the unsolved.

kind of sounds like coyote to me, but does also sound like scream.

Do you guys remember if you heard any coyote's that night? I know the first time I heard some out at my boyfriend's shop, It scared me until I realized what it was. Screech Owls are notorious for sounding like women screaming as well.

Not saying your data is invalid, I am just thinking of what it could have been. As someone else asked, how could there have been screaming when they were killed while they were sleeping. Unless they weren't. :(

@GhostPIJen No contamination was reported. Plus this audio was tested with a Spectrum Analyzer to no avail, if this was an outside or natural source it would have registered in the spectrum.

@GhostPIJen Some say that Katherine (the little girl) got up to use the bathroom when the attack began. It could be her screaming. She would've been aware of what happened to the others.

@ZacHansonRhythm i have also heard that theories say the way Lena's body lay after the attack that possibly she was awake during her attack and tried to fight off the attacker so it could possibly be her screaming

That was very disturbing and sad. It also sounds like there may be faint voices in the audio too.  Good evidence but, like I said, disturbing.
