  • Puchu, orang mana? Malaysia ke Indonesia? Ini engin kapal ka?

  • Dude, learn how to carry a camera

  • THANK YOU 5*

  • are those big things rocker arms?

  • no they are not.

  • then what are they? spark plugs????

  • More power to the diesels Johann, a small herring just swam past us. Ah, memories of Das Boot.

  • Are these people who post these videos 'tongue-tied' or what? How about some information about the engine. What make, what year, application, horsepower, RPM, etc, etc, etc. Holy smoke, they don't 'charge extra to explain what the heck it is!!

  • What is the make of the engine?

  • Tripple exaust valves,They open at the same time just before Bottom dead center. intake is probably supercharged by a fan or a rootsblower directly in the side of the cylinders, just like detroitdiesels.

Amazing engine but sadly a poor video.

  • zicer, it is a two stroke. the two valves on top are exhaust valves and the third is the injector probably. note the blower on the side of the engine, this is for induction throught cylinder ports

  • The top of the cylinder is not a 2 exhaust vslve and 1 inlet valve. But there is 3 exhaust valve. This engine is 3UET that means 3 unit of engine, uniflow scavenging, exhaust turbocharger and trunk type-piston.this engine have no inlet valve but it have inlet port at scavenging port.

  • isnt that a 4 stroke? 2 stroke does not have that kind of valves(I dont know the exact term in english, sorry)

  • Yes. This is the 2 stroke engine diesel. The top of cylinder is only for exhaust valve.

  • @puchuk88 Direct injection. Those are the injectors.

  • Inlet ports exist around bottom dead centre, these blow in air that scavenges and charges the cylinder, the exhaust exits out of the exhaust valves. The advantage is unsimetrical exhaust timing- closing earlier with inlet air still coming in, this facilitates higher supercharging pressures without blowing it all out of exhaust. see detroit diesel.
