  • a legendary bike

  • and after all that work, where did you find the courage to ride it?

  • you did do a really nice job. I dont see your numbers on the side. Are you racing it?

  • me and my moms boyfriend are doing electric work in an old barn and i took a break cause i know in old barns you can find old bikes and i found this bike but it is missing the top end so i go it for $400 and i am moving up from a cr125 until i can get a newer crf 450 and is it fast

  • Awesome machine and very nice resto job!!. I love 1980s bikes, and there is nothing on the planet that sounds better.. It is not always a money issue, but more satisfaction of bring a dead machine back to life!!

  • nice

  • Really nice bike. Great job

  • Nice fuckin job wow

  • Where did you get all your parts from? I'm building a 1989 cr250r...Thanks

  • what brand is the plastics?

  • i started geting into bikes in 87-88 and Hondas from that era have a special place in my heart, awesome resto project. Passion is whats its all about, theres so much time and money invested in projects like that...got to leave ''common sense'' at home!! THAT BIKE IS AWESOME!!!!!

  • pro link was the shit back them

  • your bike is amazing truly perfect well lol idk about perfect i have a 86 cr125 my self

  • Amazing

  • A peice of history u broght back to life.

  • Nice work mate, good resto, its a credit to you, I wish I lived where you do so I could ride that on the road, the traffic nazi's would be all over you here

  • Work of art

  • That is a BEAUTY ! My little brother had an '88 like this, it was a fanastic bike - bulletproof. I had an 89' RMX 250.

Unfortunately our shed was broken into and the CR was stolen. The idiots probably parted it out for nothing.

    Nice job man.

  • seems that you know alot bout this bike.. i have a question for you.. i have a 1989 cr250r i had just rebuilt the motor put a new topend in it and put the carb at all stock settings and i broke the bike in corectly and i was like 5th gear half throttle on the road on my like 7th tank of gas, then it bogged out and died started right back up drove home lost all compression and wouldnt start can start like 3 hours latter gain most of it compresion back runs mint now any ideas? please help me out

  • Man, that thing is pretty.

  • is that fmf powercore silencer?

  • Did you have to modify pegs to fit it, or did newer pegs just install without modification? Looks great by the way. Im restoring an 88 currently for a friend. That power valve set up that year is a over engineered beast. Did you have to meddle with that much?

  • wow. nice job.. id give my new bikes up for that classic

  • I have so much appreciation for those bikes and just as much for your restoration of such awesome 80's CR's . That thing is museum quality! way to go

  • I like what u did with the bike. how much would one of these go for in this new condition?

  • your idle is set too high, these bikes should not really idle, you will gain more mid throttle performance if you jet for riding and not idling. Very nice looking bike though - I wish more people would restore bikes rather than part them out, good job.

  • @tomriddolls Pretty difficult to make a video of the bike running unless you set the idle high. Nobody wants to see a video of an arm turning a throttle.

    Appreciate the kind comments.

  • @arizonamotocross what kind of grips are those

  • another beauty saved! congrats man.

  • nice bike i have one i am rebuilding i thought the frame was supposed to be white and how hard is it to do work on the power port on that bike?

  • Great Job man ! post a video where we can hear it rip !

  • Awesome job! I love those 80's cr's.

  • Beautiful job! I'm restoring a 1988 CR250 now, can you tell me what red paint you used for the frame? Was it PJ1 Honda Red? or something else?

  • i have a 88 cr 250r also and boy let me tell very good bike and very reliable keeps up with my cousins rmz 450f with yoshimira carbon fiber exhaust pipe

  • I don't like this bike.........I LOVE IT. gr8 job man....keep up the good work ;)

  • sick bike!

  • Good job bud, that thing is clean !

  • well done!!

  • Had an 88 YZ 250 back in the day...Best hillclimbing bike I ever had....Very nice rebuild....Only thing i'd add is one of those one way valves in the gas cap vent hose...Come in handy if you lay it down on a hill !!
