It's not that easy. Unfortunately, that note is a glitch, and is actually OUTSIDE the chart. That means you can't actually strum anything yet, so the note can't register...

Are you sure it wasn't simply a 5 note chord on the first beat of the chart? If you look carefully at this video, you'll see that the chord comes BEFORE the first beat line.

It's perfectly possible to hold down five frets with four fingers, just use your index for both green and red. Unfortunately, that particular 5 note chord is simply too early to hit.

I've had enough experience in custom charts to know it's not possible to hit. It's a glitch that is caused when the first note of a chart is too close to the very beginning of it. Nobody quite knows WHY that causes it, but it's known that it's the actual cause.

the 5-note chord at the beginning is whitenoize's fault... charts that have notes on the very first bar of the very first measure are buggy, and the game places all the 5 notes at the beginning. i gave this chart a +1 offset in feedback and a +1000 offset in ghex for the mp3... it came out pretty flawless. it's a very good chart apart from this.
