  • that is a REALLY nice car! :-)

  • All this cool stuff, and no sunroof.

  • Ah, memories. This one's the same year as our now-sold Crown Victoria LX, and it's practically the same car, just with Mercury badges, a different color, and more wood and chrome. Ours even had the digital dash. I miss our Vic so much. Rock solid quality, La-Z-Boy comfort, and not all that bad-looking for a conservatively styled full-size. I felt it could've used more power (239hp is a laughable figure for a V8), but it got the job done right with what it had.

  • 1:46 - Now entering Mercury Caverns! :-D

  • i got a 01 Grand Marquis GS (had a beautiful 93 LS fully loaded but totaled it in a snow storm) i was wondering, do you know if the tack/display and everything from this will fit in my merc? i love it!

  • Holy Shit!!! Did that say 97 Miles on it???

  • @h5109 Thats the trip meter. It has 43313 in that vid, odometer is on the middle display

  • I call dibbs when he wants rid of it :) that's exactly the car I want.

  • that has the same dash as my 97 towncar

  • I dont get it, why are the most american cars are automatic. We almost always drive manual cars. We think automatic cars are for losers

  • @olonano12 Inconvenient and more work. We drive a lot more than you. We multi task, or at least attempt to with eating, cell phones, etc.

Manual will always be more fun in a sports car, but is completely unnecessary these days.

  • @olonano12

And I don't get why most foreign cars are manual. We thin stick-shift is either for really cheap or really expensive automobiles. Thank you for your time.

  • The front bench seat in the middle is so so uncumfertible. I really like the non gauge dash in seems futureistic.

    RetroVintageItems27

  • you must love the grand marquis

  • How do you get air bag suspension?

  • thinking about buying one have you had any problems ive gotta get rid of the bigest piece of shit gm ever made my 02 impala

  • The LSE was Top Of The Line. Those are really RARE! I cant find one anywhere.

  • Why americans built and buy impersonal cars like this one? Moreover i will newer understand people who buy a big V8, if they know that they can't exceed the legal speed limits. A total waste of money... and brain: only hypocrisy behind these reasons.

  • Not everyone gives a shit about posted speed limits unless someone with authority is nearby. When the cat is away, the mice will play...

  • @viperconcept

Have you ever driven a full sized, V8 powered sedan?

  • @diggingforgold Pointless question.

However, yes, in 2008 I have rented a 300C 5.7 for 3 days (not my car choice).

  • Good old American engineering

  • everyones grandfather has this car

  • most people would think of the Grand Marquis as being outdated...while it might be slightly dated in design its still one of my Favorite Car's by far...and im 16....id take this Full Sized V8,body on Frame over any Four Cylinder, unibody beer can,the value of these cars is outstanding.

  • @jonesmw01

"Just because the EPA rated it at 25 mpg on the highway doesn't mean it can't do better, or worse for that matter.. It all depends on how you drive and maintain it". So true and I agree fully. But it still doesn't help your case, sir. Real life fuel consumption figures will always be somewhere near that EPA, just a few mpg up or down. That means that real life fuel consumption will also be similar. And that's bad considering the 16 year age difference between the 2. Good day!

  • @jonesmw01

I made a little bit a researching and I found out that the Grand Marquis will do 25mpg on th hwy, not 33. Even if you stripped your car empty, that's still a far cry.

I have a 1987 Merkur XR4Ti, a compact sports car with a 2.3 turbo engine which, at max boost, has the equivalent displacement of 4.7 liters and it has the exact EPA. Hwy=>25, Cty=>17.

And it's a 23 year old sports car that's packed full with ALL that luxury you were bragging about. Thing about the difference in age.

  • @jonesmw01

The Grand Marquis has 50% more stuff to haul than a Honda, that's why it requires that fat ass V8. And being that much bigger and heavier, the laws of physics clearly give it the better hand in a collision.

My dad has a 1996 Ford Mondeo with anything a reasonable man can desire on it(AC, power everything, music, safety and control equipment, etc) and it only weighs 1200kg and the NA 1.8l 4-cylinder 16valve engine gives it awesome performance, reliability and it's way more economical.

  • are yal selling it ?!

  • just start the mother fucker already!

  • You cant kill the 4.6 motor.

We have a 2007 Grand Marquise

    & it's sush a great car. Never a problem

at all & it has 95,000 miles already.

And it has ICE cold AC.....I live in vegas lol

  • Typical American, no thinking ... If it is cold, turn off ventilation in the car ... minimize power consumption .... ps Dad has a nice car, greetings from Poland :D

  • such an old persons car. hahaha my grandma has a ford crown vic

  • if its his car then she has no right to tell him what to do......

  • Hey saabkyle 04 you sell cars?Is cool mercury!

  • I hate automatic transmission

  • LOVE the marquis! Will always be a sexy ride!

  • I'm not familyar with the automatic gear box, so i have to ask. the pedal near the dor, what is it?

  • @Tcosp e-brake

  • its nice to bad its just a nother junky ass ford

  • He should have just bought a Town Car. lol

  • gotta love the sound of the 4.6 L v8 in those marquis......

  • hows this handle in the snow? i got a '99 grand marquis gs and i love it but its terrible in the snow so i dont drive in the snow

  • I want that car!!!! :)

  • very nice ride! :) Ive had 2 Crown Vics, 1 Grand Marquis and 3 Town Cars

  • @TheGiantNoodle do you know if the crown vic cop hubcaps will fit on a grand marquis?

  • @knotdrummer88 Yup. They will. Depends on the year though. Some are 17" and others are 16" so make sure to check. Also if I was you I would invest on using Sea Foam. Google it and check it out. It really helped with performance and smoothness

  • The new Taurus is a good car, but nothing will ever replace these hunks (of metal). I'm 17 and I would honestly go and buy one if I could. Sadly, I live in PA where it snows and RWD isn't so good :(

  • You are the star of the "Ultimate" tour. Face it, it has NO sunroof. This is NOT an Ultimate. You are boring. You need a job.

  • Great car... just wish I was able to drive

  • Im Mad that Mercury is getting shut down..

  • ilove grand marquis because it good car

  • bring the sync system in to this car and its golden!

  • Nice car, I like the light color interior :)

  • i have the same one fully loaded really nice cars

  • thats a nice car....I hope you didnt got sucked in and sold it to cash for clunkers ......I have an Australian type of that car called The Ford Fairlane Ghia V8...Very nice.Take good care of it if you still got it....Oh rugg up it looks really cold there.

  • Grand Marquis is the only real american Car!!

  • i got a 99 grand marq i love the digital dash

  • Have an 05 aniversary edition and love it.

  • na na bitch of a wife

  • really diggin the music lol

  • he should tint all the windows in it and put some duels on her ! he some sweet car then! haha

  • I told my grandpa to put some duals on it!! He wanted to but my grandma wouldn't let him haha!

  • @lukehogan278 lololol luke

  • they forgot the sunroof haaaaaa .. ...i think

  • I'd want more practical analog gauges and a cloth interior, instead of the cold leather/vinyl.

  • فرحان بسيارة ابوك يلعن ابوك .

    looooooooooooooool

  • @sharpsword0

    ههههههههههههههههه

  • the 2003s are all digital? I though digital went out of style at the start of the 2000s!

  • Renault and Citroen uses them in some cars (usually MPVs) though placed middle except for the tachometer which is usually in front of the driver.

  • you can always depend on your ford to fire right up!

  • @frozenassets97 i love me some grand marquis ( i own one) and lincolns, but we know dam well fords are horrible cars that have the worst wear and tear i ever seen

  • i never had trouble with the fords. the gms i had trouble with the wear and tear.

  • i own a 05 ls ultimate edition and it is sweet. it is fast for its weight. i also own a 77 t-bird and that used to be my favorite car before i got my grand marquis. mercs kill all

  • it's soo powerful car but the bad thing on it that it's takes lil more oil in races lol

  • I have a 2004 crown victoria. I guess you can call it the Grand Marquis' cousin. I'll tell you what, there's nothing better than driving a big, heavy, rear wheel drive sedan with a V8. the crown vic, Grand Marquis, and the Town Car will always be my favorite!

  • Amen to that!

  • @Mathieu1903 hey man do you know if i got some crownvic hub caps, the ones on police just the crome center, if it would fit on a grand marquis?

  • @Mathieu1903 haha hell yeah right with yah dude my whole family drives those three exact moodels my brother has crown vic sister town car and my dad grand marquie my mom the mountaineer and i am probably getting the grand marquie and it only has 34,000 on it i have at least 300,000 more to go :)

  • i got me a '94 model i'd love a newer model since they ironed out the few issues they had with the car in the years since mine was built, like better valve seals. my 4.6L SOHC burns a quart every 500mi through those poor early valve seals. if you have her idling for a while she starts fogging for skeeters

  • Let it warm up before reving it. Not good for the engine when it's cold. Very nice car too :)

  • Thanks man yeah I must've not been thinking haha

  • @Mrtechguy94 He really wasnt reving it all that much. And what you are refering to is Cold Seisure. Nice car though. My brother has a 96 motor just went in it. So we are gonna either build the 4.6 that is blown or we are going to drop a 4.6 DOHC motor in it.

  • i am thinking that the grand marquis fully loaded has the same features than the lincoln town car.

    am i right?

  • that dashboard looks like the one on my grandpas 1993 Lincoln Town Car

  • thats because it is.

  • awesome

    mine is 2005

    its ultimate edition too :D

  • beatiful car =)

  • Have your grandparent ever had to swap cars with each other?

  • I'm 15 and I'd take a Marquis over a Honda any day. You don't need airbags when you have a mile of metal between you and what you're hitting.

  • @hi5lo2 this is true. i hit a tree with my vic police interceptor. messed it up ( in my vids) BUT i lived, and it saved me. and with some repair. will be roadworthy soon

  • @hi5lo2 Yeah you need a coffin instead.

Anyone else think "Typical American" to themselves when they read that?

  • @hi5lo2

You're so 15, you think like a 15 year old.

Firstly, I would like to see you go to high school in a Grand Marquis battle tank. People will think you've stole your dad's car. That's if you have enough gas to get you there.

Second of all, the Honda with the airbags instead of "the mile of metal" doesn't weigh 10 tons and does not need a 4.7 V8 engine to move. I've never drove a Grand Marquis before, but I'm sure that even the crappiest Honda ever build drives better and it's more fun.

  • @hi5lo2 What about the side? ;)

  • @hi5lo2 your 15 and you know what your talking bout. you made me LTIAS laugh till i almost shit.

and i will be quoting you for the rest of my cars life

  • very nice...................

  • Im 22 and would LOVE that merc!!

  • y isnt there a number plate on dis car??

  • Whenever I'm suffering from insomnia, I just look at a picture of a grand marquis and I'm straight off.

  • the horn doesen't work.

  • Unfortunately no, i was going to clean it before I left but I got preoccupied with other details at the time lol, I'll be making a video of it next time I go home!

  • how come with all ford made cars when u start the engine u hear tht ding

  • It's telling you that the door is ajar

  • yeah it's the door ajar alarm

  • yup :)

  • how many hp does it have?

  • I will be later this week and will be sure to get a video!

  • god theyre soooooo fast! 5 stars

  • thanks man, It's been a long time since I drove this haha, I want this so bad, good ole american v8 RWD power :D

  • ha yea maybe when he dont want to drive anymore he will give it to you. its pretty stupid how they dont sell the crown vic anymore but they still sell the marquis. damn government!

  • Haha I wish lol! I think they should always keep them around, the marquis and the town car will probably be next! They're great cars
