This was reinacted at the Walt Disney Studio wrap party for Pete's Dragon. They had this lighthouse tower on the sound stage with beacon going and all the dinner guests seated around it. What a great capper to this evening back then.

Tienes razón, es toda una "gracia". Por no decir otra cosa!!! Suerte que en los créditos iniciales podemos escuchar este tema pues para mi es el mejor de toda la pelicula. "Sadly", Al Kasha and Joel HIrschenhorn seem to have come along at the wrong time. Though two time Oscar winners when they wrote this song score, the cultural times were not about to make them the new Sherman brothers, and their careers fizzled. Sick irony that in about a decade, a taste for "old style" Disney fairy tale animation would rocket Alan Mencken and Howard Ashman to the fame Kasha and HIrsschenhorn would never achieve.

I remember listening to this when I was really really young. It wasn't my favorite at the time, for I preferred up beat songs that a two year old could dance to. Later, when I could appreciate the beauty of this song, it grew on me so, and this was always one of my favorite parts of the entire movie. Even now, I love this song and find it touching. My 3 kids and us and then our grandson watched this movie really really often and it is SUPERB!! Touching, soooo funny, well well done.

Reaches kids on so many positive levels at the same time having some really funny adult humor that the kids won't catch.

In addition it's loaded with big stars of our past in addition to Helen---Mickey Rooney, Shelly Winters, the great Red Buttons, very well done Jim Dale, and Jim Backus.

Don't miss the Goguens! You've got to see them for yourself.
