CHris has lost his edge these days..he sounds, looks and talks like a pasteurized fluffy boy who`s walnuts have suffered some vertical blows or something..he`s become a domesticated drone of some kind..this is nothing near as energized as "spoon-man"...
now what exactly do you expect?! he's almost 50 today. i think their is a point in your life where you become calmer and a little bit more quiet. he lived a rough life i think, in a rough genre (at least in soundgarden-times). i'm glad he lives and tours at all. he and eddie vedder are the "last grunge-men standing", living legends if you want so. sad enough that others like kurt or layne passed away.
What did Eddie Vedder play that had to with grunge? Not that I'm disagreeing at all, just curious. I like Eddie Vedder but the only songs I've heard from him are from "Into The Wild". I'd like to hear some of his grunge stuff if you don't mind naming some songs? Love Chris Cornell, and glad Soundgarden is making a comeback sometime soon.
what eddie vedder had to do with grunge?! ever heard of Pearl Jam? check them out, i think their songs Jeremy, Alive, Black, Yellow Ledbetter, Betterman are good songs to start with ;) eddie also joined Temple of the dog a few times, i.e. he did a duett with chris cornell in hungerstrike amongst others.
i have to admit, i never liked eddie vedder and pearl jam that much, but i appreciate their achievements and the fact, that they're still "alive" :)
Yeah he is a great musician but his solo version of this song seems faster compared to soundgarden one. i liked the slower melody of the original version. but hes still cool.
Speechless...

nylon strings suck.

@0kill13
Would you prefer the original cat gut strings then?
JackXIII 2 years ago
hell yea, steel strings man
0kill13 2 years ago
No. Nylon strings are the best choice for an acoustic guitar. The offer a more rich sound, and are more easily (and cheaper) to replace.
JackXIII 2 years ago
they're better for classical, but i perfer the steel string because it sounds more hardcore than nylon.

Amazing artist, but his solo songs don't hold a candle to Soundgarden or even Audioslave.
GilbyTheWarrior33 3 years ago
No poser here...very few "rock stars" can hold a candle to this guy...to play and sing that song with no gimmicks shows he's the real deal.

Just fantastic! He's just incredible - the range, the timbre, the delivery. And so easy on the eyes! :)
