@willxonq: I remember reading an old sci-fi magazine, that had an article about Buck Rogers, and what happened was that by the time the show was picked up for a full fledge season, the producers were told to drop the "mutant" aspect of the show since it was too dark and it could've scared kids at the time. However, Gil Gerard wanted the show to be more serious and wanted the Buck character to be less sarcastic/humorous; this caused a couple of writers to leave the show.
The scene in old Chicago should have been expanded upon. The mutants could have captured Buck Rogers and taken him to their dwellings. Then one would notice his markings on his suit and the story could unfold from there.
The Nuclear war happened long ago, the "mutants" are obviously breeding as they still inhabit the city, so why didn't the more advanced earthlings...ever help or attempt to cure the "mutant" people?? Bastards!!
