Are the trucks and traction motors a standard part, Why not bring out 4 traction motors? is it because this is an uncommon loco and so no parts on hand?
Fascinating stuff Walter 5*. Must admit I thought it was a "Hal Roach" production getting the cable attached - "arm chair quarterback" as you say! - Mike
Another great piece of videoing Walter, good to see that they still use a blowtorch to try and free a rusted up nut and bolt, easest way of doing that, always worked for me...........
I got a kick out of watching that one man trying to put the cable around the knuckle
I could see what he was doing that he needed to unhook one side then lower down and being so heavy there was no way one man could lift it with out some kind of help.
Thanks kind of what I was doing by being an arm chair quarterback, but actually doing it is A differant tale. It not always as easy as it looks. Thanks Wayne
There are probably lots of stuff they could use to make their jobs easier, but unfortunately when your working from A truck you cant take everything in the shop with you, it would take a lot more trucks >
great video

Excellent video Walter.*****. First time I ever heard of replacing a traction moter with an idler. Hmmmmmm.

It may have been due to not having the traction motors available to put in. Thanks Hans
