well you did a good job to rescue that pretty grey, we have some to and they are just little childeren and need loads of attention, so the person how left him alone is just a dumbass, and not really a animal lover, parrots are so smart, sometimes i think they are smarter then humans
Hey, I'm a reptile keeper but am considering maybe getting an African Grey Parot. I have been doing my reaserch on them but there is still a lot I don't know. Can anyone please help me and tell be more then just the basics?!? Are these parrots good for first time bird keepers? PLEASE RESPOND
i have an African grey(tobby) and he got scissors beak i want to know what can i do for him. i am taking him to vet for regular trimming but i want his beak to be treated fully.
Poor boy! How many idiots treat their animals in the same way? Peole! If you want to buy a living creature, think first! It is not a toy you can leave anytime!
Excellent!! So very wonderful to see "proper treatment" of our "uncondential loved pets" finally being "rescued"!! Thank you for sharing, now if everyone who owns a bird would just understand how "fragile, yet understanding" these pets are,the world would be a far better place!! Our Aftican Grey Congo,"Einstein" (aka: "Pukalani Prince") is camera shy. He is so very "intelligent" it's unbelievable!! An owner must understand caring for a parrot is like "adopting a child"..many could learn, thx
I have an African Grey named "China". She likes my mother more than me (or anyone else) But most greys are like that. I still love her very much, and can't stand to hear about abused animals, especially parrots. They are so smart!
'Batards' is the only word I can think of for those 'owvners'. My baby African Grey (named Macy) isa joy to have around the house, we got her a'Montana' huge cage but she is always outside the cage flying around the living room. We adore her. She is a pain in the neck at times bu then that is how parrots should be -- comedians. We just love Macy !!
what a heartbreaking story, but it makes me so happy to see he has been given a loving home, you are angels among men. he is obviously such an affectionate beautifully natured bird with so much love to give, how could someone possibly leave him behind. cant wait to see more of andy, please post updates on his beak condition.

it's always great to see someone take such good care of a parrot. They're very sensitive creatures.

How horrible someone could mistreat an animal that way, Its a nice happy ending though as he is clearly loved now! Cheers.

always heartwarming when a bird finds a good home. Never heard of chewing on toy keys causing problems.

What a wonderful story!! I have just adopted a lovely female Grey who was in need of a home after her owners lost their house.
She is a constant source of joy in our home, she is being spoiled rotten, she's like another child to me.
I can't see how anyone could leave a poor animal behind like that.
So glad he found a happy home!!!

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL AND LUCKY BIRD! Unfortunatley his story is not unique and many of these intelligent birds are abused.
nice to hear a happy ending!
