  • Butch or Fem, I want him.

  • Flying, he could do it. He could do anything.

Besides, it's simple really. When you want to go up, you push the thing down, when you want to go down, you push the thing up. . . there you go.

  • He was the best in Velvet Goldmine.

  • They are both spectacular - too bad the american audience doesn't know quality when they see it!

  • Did he do a Walken impression at 3:39 to 3:42?

    I LOOOOOOOOOOVE EDDIE IZZARD!!!

  • Wow.

I never expected Elvis to be so quiet, so refined, and so self-effacing, but but he was absolutely MASTERFUL in this interview!

I DID expect him to be thoughtful and intelligent, which he was, but after seeing this, I'm wondering why we haven't seen more of "Declan as interviewer" in the time since? He does remind me of Parkinson and Jonathon Ross, bringing his own personality to an interview about another person. Just lovely.

  • See "Spectacle: Elvis Costello With..." on Sundance (in US), CTV (in Canada) and Channel 4 (in UK). Fabulous show. Season 2 on the way.
