Supreme. Left hand is very difficult in this track, it has to mantain the groovin' thumb... Whatever, one of my favourites Carroll's song, one of the greatest melodies ever written for acoustic guitar. Thanks Maestro!!!
I was playing at a guitar festival with Clive just last weekend in Inishowen, Ireland, and I learned more from him than anyone else I've ever met. He is a superb player and his understanding of composing and playing is amazing! He's also a genuine person! It's rare to find a combination of them all!
...and I read he uses ping-pong balls under his fingernails, and that he feels musicians should compose, record, and get on with the progression of their mastery from each point to the next. What a beauty this man is...
with that being said, you are also quick to judge me. i wonder who is doing the douchebaggery around here, considering you werent even a part of the discussion in the first place.
let me man answer for himself, if he even cares. didn't your parent teach you not to interfere with issues you are not a part of?
i was merely insinuating that the info was totally pointless and unnecessary, which it is.
you are comparing youtube with something happening in real life among close friends. how is this even comparable with a few lines by a totally unknown avatar on youtube?
if he share that with friends in real life, so be it. but this is youtube. you should really try and separate them two, it will do you good in the future.
I've been reading a little about Clive on the inter-web...found out he super-glues bits of ping pong balls to his thumb and fingers. Whatever it takes!
Just seen Clive at the Gala Theatre in Durham, and I cannot beleive what I've just seen and heard. What an incredible player, and performer, and a really nice guy as well. I wish I could pick up his guitar when he's finished with it, it could rest with me nicely. Don't miss him if he comes your way.
Csus2 is my favourite tuning and I love this...it's beautiful. Clive is playing at the Perfect 5th in Taunton on Wed 12th November, I think. Go see him!
I am soooo sorry I thought you were being sarcastic :) I havent a clue, but I will ask Clive and get back to you. Once again please accept my apologies for the missunderstanding
Clive started writing this composition while he was on tour with us in International Guitar Night. I couldn't get this song out of my head back then, and I am glad to see it has finally been completed.
Always this was about Eliza Carthay's eyes which are alluring. Only found out a live gig by Clive that it about his daughter Eliza.
PS Gig was great but too bloody short for the money !!!! Will check length of gig before I see him live again.
