  • i've seen all the tutorials on YouTube, this is one of the most helpful ones, thank for taking the time to help us.god bless.

  • I just use the tracks i never use the pattern blocks .. idk how haha

  • IN DESPERATE NEED OF HELP: i have spent 50+ hours on a track that is scheduled that i need to release to my label in 2 weeks. i had to remix the entire track which was another 10 hours. i did most of the mixing in pattern, and some in song loop mode. but now when i go back to song mode, all the levels change! luckily i was saving all the way through, so if i re open it again, (it opens in pattern mode) the levels are fine, but then i choose song mode and again they all change!?!?!?! WTF pls help

  • took me a couple tries to get the multiple patterns right, and learned the hard way that deleting one track from the pattern deletes it from all of the patterns. very helpful, much appreciated.

  • Thank you!

  • Very helpful!!

  • excellent demonstration sir, please let me know how to disable the loop play in the song mode, as the songs never ends and keep playing from bar one again. thank you. my mail id is kumarmusician@yahoo.co.in

  • I can't seem to split the pattern sequencer. I followed your instructions as per but when I lay the patterns on the song sequencer it still plays the same pattern even tho I've set Pattern 1 and Pattern 2 to play different things. Please help

  • @DMajor239 You are a god. Thank you so much for this... lol

  • when i make a pattern and put a drum beat in it then make a new patterand put a bass beat in it changes pattern ones instrument WHYYYY??? and how can i stop this..????

  • wtf why is no one showing me how to copy and paste you mean i have to draw a song for 4 mins each track takes forever

  • thanks!!!!!!!

  • do you create songs in the pattern area or do you paint them and create up in the Track area?

  • Uuh great :D

  • Thx man!

  • hey, it is possible to clone a pattern but make it in a different pitch. so when you put it in song mode, the pitches change? i just messed up a whole good beat T.T

  • @Jaesun215 You could, but you would need to use automation. I hope to have a tut up on automation soon.

  • howd you do that snare or rim roll?

  • @MrKDZ31 I was probably using 1/4 step lengths in the piano roll.

  • can somebody please help me find the pattern blocks section in my playlist? i dont find the divider anymore as i upgraded from fl 8. iv googled around for about 30mins with no results. please help!!! thank you so much ;' )

  • @StreetLife925 Are you using FL 9?

  • @StreetLife925 In later versions of FL 9, you may not have the pattern blocks at the bottom of the playlist. If so, you can still split by channel by going to the step sequencer and look for the drop down menu besides the words Pattern 1 in the upper middle of the step sequencer. Beneath the menu is Split by Channel.

  • @StreetLife925 options>general settings>Enable legacy pattern blocks

  • i have been trying to figure this out for the longest and your channel has been the best description of it thank you!!!

  • How did you have different Time Signatures from pattern 1&2 and pattern 3? :S

  • when i press f5 i only can see the clips section , how do i get the programing section

  • @joakoTR Are you using FL Studio 9?

  • Sorry for my frustration, but WHY THE HELL ARE ALL 4 OF THE PATTERNS I MADE, EXACTLY THE SAME? Ex.: I just want the snare and the kick in pattern one, i decide i'll add the bassline in pattern 2. I go back to pattern 1 and the bassline is in that pattern too. So I have 2 identical patterns, rendering song mode pointless.

  • @HellolzEveryone This should not be how it occurs. Are you copying one pattern into all four? Altering the programming of one pattern should not alter the programming of other patterns.

  • Thanks a lot.

  • Bro, you are the man and you have got to keep up the amazing work.

    Thank You So Much

  • yeah, after u hit the "split by channel", can u undo it if u change ur mind??? i tried it, and i dont think its possible.

  • @jefersonvilaede Not really.

  • excellent tutorial

  • YOUR THE BEST DUDE ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS THANK YOU !

  • i need a keybord mode like i need the numbers at the keyboard i hafe new project but i need the number's at my keyboard strings etc

  • wat if my progragramming patterns isnt showing?

all i see is the clips part

  • @Mrite09 Are you using FL Studio 9?

  • all the patterns have the same Kicks, Claps, Hats or Snares.

now if patter 1 have theese 4 things

how can i make pattern 2 have 4 other things?

  • @alibuu whatever instruments you add to the step sequencer, before ever creating any patterns, will be there in all patterns, it is just a matter of whether you program them to play in the current pattern that is selected. therefore, if you want different instruments in the first pattern than the second, add them all to the step sequencer first, then only program those you want in the first pattern, and when you change to later patterns, only program the instruments you want to play in those.

  • thanks :)

  • Also I was wondering if it was possible to have two diff tempos for one song for a mix. Example: Starting with a hardstyle song (which the tempo is around 150) and going to a hardcore song (which i usually have around 165) all in the same song. Any info would be greatly appreciated, Thanx!!!

  • @420Hatchetnation This could easily be done using automation. I hope to have a tutorial on the matter up soon.

  • Hey man thanks a lot for these tutorials. You actually teach how to use FL Studio and and all its buttons, not worrying about how ur sounds, sound. Very informative! Now I have tools for my skills THANX!!!!!!!

  • AWESOME Tutorial. Thanks!!

  • thenk you man i subscribe and 5 rating!!!!

  • how come when I make a 2nd pattern anything i do changes the original pattern instruments on the play list to the instruments I wish to use for the 2nd patter as well as changing my arrangement of tics?

  • same here

  • ok, whatever instruments you add to the step sequencer, before ever creating any patterns, will be there in all patterns, it is just a matter of whether you program them to play in the current pattern that is selected. therefore, if you want different instruments in the first pattern than the second, add them all to the step sequencer first, then only program those you want in the first pattern, and when you change to later patterns, only program the instruments you want to play in those.

  • how come i cant paint man,i click to paint and it opens up the whole box

  • i am not sure what you mean by this. I hope you have figured it out. if not, let me know your problem in more detail and maybe I can help. Sorry for the late reply.

  • WOW,,,i have been trying to understand this for ages,,and you have made it very clear for me to understand,,,i had been going through so many videos on you tube and getting more and more confused,,i even gave up on fruity loops for a bit,but now with your help,i have overcome a hurdle,,,nice one man,,,very cool,,,very cool indeed,,,thanks soooo much.

  • thanks dude you seriously helped me out with this video and explanation.

  • whats an 8 and 16 bar?

  • i am not sure what you mean, but if you are asking about pattern length, 8 and 16 refer to how many beats are in a bar (pattern). A beat is simply four steps grouped together on the step sequencer and color-coded as grey or pink. Hope this helps and sorry for the late reply.
