Megadeth is a good band and all, but Im still a hardcore Metallica fan even though they have had some confusing points in their cereers. Megadeth sounds a little better than Metallica, I have to be honest but I dont really care much for Dave Mustaine, he seems like a bit of an asshole and has a annoying voice (but thats just my oppinion) he is a good guitar player though, better than Kirk and James together, Megadeth even has a better drummer.

Dave recorded no life til leather which became kill em all. he was resentful because kirk played all of daves solos and they had to slow a few songs down so kirk could play them. dave felt it was his rightful place and he was very bitter and an ass. he got over it and he is pretty easy going from what i've seen these days. i agree, he WAS an asshole. metallica sounds horrbile live compared to the deth now. both good though

Yeah. A) People need to get over the Metallica vs. Megadeth nonsense. Dave has. B) People need to quit being idiots and thinking "Lulu" is a Metallica record. It's not. It's a shitty side project with some washed up old rock/punk musician. Megadeth fans would know all about that, Dave did one years ago with Lee Ving. It ALSO sucked horribly. Metallica's next official release will no doubt be as good as Death Magnetic, if not better. Both bands are great. Get over it.

Metallica is Hard Rock Megadeth is Thrash, even my Metallica loving buddies say Enter Sandman sounds more like Megadeth, it isn't their usual style and it's their most metal sounding album that wasn't using Dave's material, so as far as Metal goes, Megadeth beats the shit out of those softies, they were the biggest metal band ever when Metallica hit the scene, and they kicked Dave out for partying too hard. That's pretty unmetal.
