people are really complaining about average thugs not being able to damage Hokuto fighters? if the difficulty was raised for scrubs like these it would be extremely unlike the source material. Well they can inflict little to no damage and be extremely slow, but the COULD ACT that they are at least aware of their surroundings and like they are at least trying to fight, not to drool on their pants.

Be honest. Ai just suck here. No matter who - regular thugs, destined to be blown up by hokuto shiken or cut apart by nanto seiken, or other masters of killing arts.

Only difference that bosses have much bigger health bar and deal much more damage that simple enemies. Not a single intese and dynamic battle is there.

I wasn't aware that other people were complaining, but watching this video one thing is clear: the AI is too stupid. I don't question the power levels, I question the fact that while Raoh is doing lots and lots of moves, and jumping in the air to strike them down.... THEY JUST STAND THERE AND DO NOTHING!

@MasaruKato82 That because the game is in Hokuto Time. Everything is very slow to these fighters. Thats why it looks like the enemy just stands there. Thats also why the arrows are so slow.

@AxReborn11 In the source material, yes, he is one of the 4 apprentices for Hokuto Shinken, the "one swing" was based on an original Hokuto move he made, I forget the name, but it was basically a rip-off of Nanto Seiken, the exact one I have no idea though.

@MisterWhat Jagi doesn't fight Nanto style, he has ONE move that's SIMILAR to Nanto, but it's Hokuto. Who you MAY be thinking of is Rei, but I dunno who you're going on about. Also, Jagi's fairly powerful, he was a challenge for Ken and he was fairly weak in his own right.

Eh I can forgive the slowness because apparantly the creators of the game wanted a more realistic feel in the game. But a bit more difficulty would be loved...

@69luxurious I agree. The slowness really takes away from the game A LOT. Its just the finishing moves that look fun. In fact looking at some gameplay vids most people that play the game just skip most of the grunts unless there is a big group on which they can land a finisher on or something. A shame really.

@KujoJotar0 The problem for me is, I accept that yeah, the grunts are gonna be no match and (should) go down easily... but could they at least somehow try (and fail) to rush me, or at least run away when I'm clearly stronger? Hell, can they at least freeze in hesitation and fear the first time I do something cool? Oh wait, that would mean that we'd have to chase them down to get KOs... too realistic. :(

And why should a boss battle take at least seven minutes on average?

@RonzilWeazleBack its just an elite grunt. And Fudo's voice and appearance if you look at the trailers, his voice is deeper and has a clean cut hairdo. Not a bristly one. And if that's fudo, then the player would have a hell of a hard time beating it.
