OMG! I rode this one time at Six Flags in NJ and till this day, I'm like does anyone remember Twister? It was the bomb!! No one ever knows what I'm talking about. Turns out it was only at Six Flags for 2 years before they sent it down south. Why are they going to make me fly to Japan just to ride this sucker again lol? This ride was amazing! Thanks so much for posting!
@ebonyx1 Nice! GA did have one under the same name back round 1986. then in 88' it was taken out and moved to astroworld in 90'. the land it was on was then occupied by Viper , another togo from 1995-2005. El Toro now sits on that land.
My, then young, daughter and I rode this in New Jersey once in 1986 and again in '87, then looked for it late season '88. It seemed to have disappeared off the face of the Earth. Nobody remembered, or wanted to acknowledge it's existence. I thought, maybe, there was a fatality. We sought it out for some time. That first drop was terrifyingly awesome, and the rest of the ride was simply thrilling. 'Twas a rough ride, but I would happily ride it again, and highly recommend Ultra Twister... Blarp
god this sucks!! this roller coaster was at houston, texas befor it closed down and they sold it to some theme park in japan i rode it the last daybefor six flags closed in houston
That was a different coaster this one has always been in Japan. The one your talking about came from Great Adventure then was moved to Texas as part of Six Flags ride exchange program.
Ive just got back from a school exchange in Japan. My host family took me and my student both 15 to nagashima, let me tell you it was amazing, this ride was amazing no que because people were scared! I though, we dont have one of these in england so its now or never, and its truly amazin, lift part was scary cos You go backwads then get dropped a bit then onto a lift hill vertical!
It used to be just like this one when it was in Jersey. When it was moved they changed the 90 degree lift to a more angled lift. Other than that ther is no difference.
I LIKE THAT RIDE IT REMINDS ME OF THE IRON BREW AT BLACKPOOL

the japs copied this ride from astroworld
datboixin 3 years ago
The "Japs" built this ride to begin with. And they had them over there long before they built one in the States.

Fail. The one at Astroworld was manufactured by Togo. They are the only manufacturers of this style of coaster.
