no it's not, it's a completely new game...

even though it is a new game, it is a add on, they just made it a standalone expansion pack. So you dont really need to have played or have halo 3 to play ODST.

Plus they can make more money because they would charge full price for a new game, and not have to charge less for a Expansion Pack, which would have been on XBL Marketplace.

The normal Halo trilogy is over. There probably isn't going to be Halo 4 for a while. The Legendary Planet (as i like to call it) was confirmed not to be a Brute planet. I think it's a forerunner shield world, but w/e. My gamer tag is Rey Alejandro, and I already beat legendary, or at least I did before my XBox 360 broke and reset all my campaign and armor data, but not any multiplayer stuff.

@Sasukethehedgehog the order the games came out is Halo:Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars, Halo ODST and now Halo:Reach

In the halo timeline it goes Halo Wars which is the very beginning of the human-covenant war, Halo reach which happens right before Halo Combat evolved. After CE is Halo 2. Halo 2 and ODST overlap ODST begins at the third level in Halo 2 if i remember right. Then after Halo 2 and ODST is Halo 3.

I hope this clears up some of the arguments.

I liked this video a lot, the second ad with the bubble shield and the Brutes was my favorite of the Ads. But I just have one Nitpicky little problem that couldn't have been helped at the time of this video: Master Chief wasn't in Halo Wars. Maybe when Halo: Reach come out you can use some of those cutscenes/ads. Also maybe you could use some cutscenes from Halo 3 for the part where Cortana says "Your Future." Though those are just suggestions for improvement, it's still awesome as is.
