  • Comment removed

  • A Bizarre Collection Of Puzzles by The Enigma

  • This is the best REM album I ever bought.. too bad they've retired this year :(

  • I think someone mis-clicked the 'like' button..

    -.-

  • i dont know why this song wasnt a bigger hit, its fantastic...oh but wait...if justin bieber can be a hit but not this song, then that explains it...people are dumb.

  • Such a simple yet beautiful guitar riff.

  • Sweet!!!!!!!

  • this is the most beautiful song I have ever heard.

  • the hi hat right before he says "near" made me think he said "still wild heaven" XD

  • The jangly guitars and harmonysinging, absolutely heavenly, glad I got to see them live at least once.

  • rapid eye movement- dreams will never die- REM!....

  • If I pinch my nose I can sing as well as him

  • @AZT1977 You'll be picking your fucking nose off the ground after I smash it into a hundred little ugly pieces, you little cunt

  • @DoctorMeatDic

LOL, besides cunt and fuck, do you have any other words in your repertoire, little a-hole.

  • @AZT1977 prick

  • i can't believe they broke up....

  • i miss this CD soo much....and the cassette I used to have too :)

  • just fuckin AMAZING!!

  • near wild heaven love it

  • I've always preferred this delicate song released as a single instead of the more popular Shiny Happy People!

  • @lyonslaforet I completely agree, but this song WAS released as single... but failed to chart in the US, and charted poorly in the UK if compared to Shinny... Such a pity, but feels good to think a R.E.M. song sung by Mills was a single. It's just fair.

  • @BilisNegra R.E.M. is my favorite band with the Cure and now that they split, I will miss them!

  • Nice, to my ears, this was maybe their first Beach Boys inspired track.

  • wow..voice is annoying...

  • @trufiend138 stupid cunt

  • @DoctorMeatDic

If I pinch my nose I can sing as well as him

  • @trufiend138 Annoying my ass!!!!

  • Awesome Song By An Awesome Group That Did An Awesome Album. R. E. M's Album Out Of Time Rocks!

  • I love this song.

  • Perfect

  • Top song, always loved this track.

  • Such a cheerful song , reminds me of someone that makes me really happy

  • i love you suanne

  • Ive often wondered if the theme to this song if like he' losing his sanity or purposeful place of being. Then again i smoked alot of pot in the late 80's

  • underrated!

  • love this song.....reminds me so much of the early 90's

  • Every track is a classic on "Out of TIme". The album just flows from start to finish and you can't beleive when it ends that you have listened to the whole album, your mind gets lost in the music!

  • @steviemax147 well said, and so true.

  • One of my fav albums ever!

  • Reminds me of driving past Mt. Whitney in the Sierra Nevada of California, circa 1991-1993... this song and Country Feedback. Not a bad memory

  • for their 16th album i pray should be mike mills based

  • im glad this song has no dislikes. :) good to know people these day's still know what real music is!! :D <3

  • Outstanding album.

  • This came on in a bar I was at recently, the first time I'd heard it for maybe 15 years. I just sat there dumbfounded, finding myself back as the child just discovering music who fell head over heels for this song, this album and this band.

  • I could care less for anything these liberal douchebags have to say poltically but I love their music. Liberal douchebags but talented ones!

  • @ThePhantomviper then go listen to all that fucking stupid country shit conservative cocksuckers like toby keith put out. i hate the fucking air u conservative asshats breathe. damn.

  • @latinguy67 I dont listen that country shit and secondly this is proof that you are the people that generalize and make bigoted judgements. You think everyone who listens to REM is a liberal? I admit probably a large number but not all. But you're all a bunch of intolerant drones who all think the same but claim you're open to new ideas when the only ideas you people have are the same old 1960 solutions. Go fuck yourself drone!!!!!!

  • @ThePhantomviper ur mamma

  • @ThePhantomviper That's pretty rich coming from a conservative... :-D Off the scales rich, actually...

  • @mcbrite lol

  • @ThePhantomviper Couldn't agree more with you, good on you! =)

  • My fav. from Out of Time.

  • "Losing My Religion" sounded sad. This was the happy. My favorite track from "Out Of Time".

  • you must feel the music...

  • typical song from michael stipe!!

  • great song!!!

  • sweet, love it!!

  • magic

  • thank you for upload this song!! It´s a memorable album...

  • you know its surprisngly hard to find this song on youtube, great upload

  • @mmeister7 just go to ebay. I bought every one of REM's cds for $1.00 a piece including shipping. People that bought all the REM albums are selling them all and you can get such a good deal.

  • @mmeister7 yeah, i've been lookin for it for years since i've lost the cd)

  • This is for all the romantics I know. Ya'll know who you are. Ever been near wild heaven?

  • @EmpressOfWyoming58 Brilliant tune... but read the lyrics! It's about being in a less than satisfactory relationship. It's a cynic's anthem, not a romantic's!

  • @MrMatBenJen It's not so much the lyrics, it's what was going on in my life at the time this music was popular and who I listened to it with. It made me happy, makes me happy, the whole LP. Whether the song is about sad romance or happy romance, it's romantic to me. Romance isn't always about ecstatic happiness anyhow. You know? Sometimes it's about the sad side.

  • @EmpressOfWyoming58 Have you listened to the lyrics????? This is a song about love lost, reminiscing about the love that once existed but has now gone... hence the use of the word "Near" in the title. What existed before is gone, "holding myself together" is a reference to the fact that he is struggling to come to terms with the break-up. "There's a feeling that's gone, something has gone wrong" couldn't be more obvious to anyone.... Romantics!!!! I think not

  • @xtcdukesforever Yes, but romantics always long for what's lost and hope for it's return - they 'romanticize' things... and if you've been near wild heaven, the lost heaven becomes a standard, a lament... a beautiful pain...

  • @xtcdukesforever absolutely bang-on!!.....best review ever of an 'romantic' song, yea you anit been nowhere unless youve been there......yea I agree,I think not also!!!....xx

  • Top stuff!

  • @Wailer3693 righty o
