I was very fortunate to see her play this tune solo at Neitzsche's one snowy Monday night in Buffalo. It was 1987 or 1988. She was an amazing songwriter and performer as a teen. Now she is a musical powerhouse. Fun to listen to. Fun to watch.

It's not that she sings like Aretha Franklin or plays like John Mayer, but I can count on one hand the number of musicians I know (famous and not-so-famous) who have the combination of technical skills needed to cover her songs the right way.
