  • That is my wonderfull rat named "Matekoni".She is doing wonderfull after her surgery.I am so happy for that.Thank you Wuuggfin for helping my rat!/Malin

  • @mezzzanina Hello Malin, what a surprise to meet you here! I am happy Matekoni is doing fine now! Ha det så bra!

  • yes i know all about that for sure.. not fun, a rat group member just lost her precious lil hairless girl who had a mammory tumor that she actually ATE almost all of.. wierd thing is, there was no blood and she was fine.. until she had gotten the rest removed and stitched, she died barely an hour later:(

  • @onixspider Surgery is not the biggest problem with these animals, anestesia is. Rats are VERY sensible to a sedative called Xylazin. I shall never use it again because it killed a healthy male rat after castreation. Nowadays I only use Ketamin.

  • aww the poor darling, i hope her recovery was good

  • @onixspider The rat recovered very well. Tumors are quite common in rats, unfortunately. The only option is early surgery.
