  • at the end she move like nobody and the other dont know move like she lool

  • Just beautiful.

  • que vídeo raro ,muito obrigado ,esse vídeo mostra o inicio da carreira de tina

  • This was in 1964, or so the Roman numerals indicate at the end of the Credits.

  • This is one of my top ten vids on the tube!

  • thew beat sounds like the beat off her song i dont need which by the way is there a full version of it

  • tahts bc ike was back stage messing around behind tinas back and doing drugs

  • she is so young there and there is no IKE .......... she was always the talent and the star and to day she is 70 and made the money making list ............no words for this soper whomen ..... TINA IS THE BEEEST

  • what a sweetheart.

  • I think Tina is my MOTHER...lol!

  • 1964 IT IS... Look at the end of credits

  • song written by and originally recorded by a New Orleans Legend.....Jesse Hill from the Lower 9th Ward......

The Lower 9 produced a few of the New Orleans singers and musicians that had a major impact on early Rock n Roll including Fats Domino.

You hear that New Orleans piano and drum style on this song..

Allen Toussaint was the piano player on the original production

  • wow I love this woman...

  • Tina is The Queen of Rock n' Roll, period.

  • PRICELESS!

  • Actually she was already dressing pretty provocative even back then. But the TV stations in the those days were very strict on clothing, and so she had to dress more conservative in those early-mid 60s whenever she was on television. Buy the late sixties after River Deep when she gained attention in Europe for her legs and those mini skirts, television was becoming more tolerant on showing more skin.

  • yeah she looked very store bought& plain. She looked like Ike gave her some money and said go in the store and get a wig, two outfits and some shoes because we have to go on stage in 1 hour.Leave it up to Ike and Im sure that something close to that happened and thats probably why she looked that way.

  • SO what year did she lose this good girl look? She had a rag doll dress on with a simple (but strange) wig.

The dresses got shorter (or barely there) and the wigs were longer...

  • Late 60's or early 70's. Everythang chaged when the 70's hit.

  • Actually if you take a look at Ike & Tina's performance from the T.N.T. show from 1965 -- it was the year following this performance that or dresses started getting shorter and her hair started it's unraveling (as it were) -- she was really shaking her booty all over during that T.N.T. performance (although not nearly as much as she would later on).

  • 1st off i wanna say thanks 4 posting this one love it. U can tell she's a star! Tina re-recorded this song with Ike on there Workin' Together album in the EARLY 70's. This clip is priceless...

  • @veryboredchild It was after River Deep Mountain High... So probably about 66 or 67. It was then that she first traveled to Europe and the act changed a lot. Tina discovered tighter see through clothes that fit her body better. She was dancing more on stage and found that she was able to move better in shorter skirts.

  • @veryboredchild the day she and Ike split far as I'm concerned.

  • @veryboredchild I think after Phil Spector, and The Rolling Stones hooked up with Tina - and then of course the times changed for everyone... She went to europe and came back a goddess

  • @veryboredchild actually my dad told me, that when he saw them in waco in '60, that she wore skimpy outfits then too, this was just for TV.

  • @veryboredchild

I saw them in Oakland before they had ever been on TV, in a smallish club WAY downtown. Maybe 1966, 65. Sammy Davis later hosted the "Hollywood Palace " show one week and gave them exposure to the White audience.

The look you see here was a "cleaned up for TV " look, to make them acceptable to the White audience of that teenaged show -- the dress is a laugh

The wig was longer before -- down to the bust-- and the skirt went up when she danced --- amazingly hot

  • @veryboredchild

She looks so much better as a bad girl.

  • @veryboredchild From the clothes and hair this is 'Shindig' between '64-66 for sure!

  • these clips are great, shows how hard she has worked over the years....this show was on before i was even born, according to the Roman Numberals it was 1964, the year my parents got married

  • I actually think that dress is really nice. Very retro and chic for today's standards. She's dressed like a school girl but she's singing like a grown woman lol. Get in there T!

  • lol! it sounds like shes saying poopity poo, ooo poopity poo... i love her voice i cant even sing like that!

  • oldies yes man

  • Queen of rock and soul!!! GO TINA!

  • LMao theres nothing wrong with the wig, She's moving so the hair is moving with her. Like she said on 60min she's always done her own wigs so they didn't have that off the rack look. LMAoo

  • Crazy wig on Miss Tina, for sure. But the performace is A++ :)

  • I agree. Lol. It seems to be too big at the top. Haha. But she is still AMAZING. Crazy wig and all. = )

  • It was my mother who first turned me on to Tina. When she heard her do that intro of Proud Mary on the radio way back in 71, my Mom said, "God she sounds like a hell of a woman!" Wathching clips like this I can only agree- what a hell of woman (and talent).

  • I can see a big diffrence in her performance in those early years, you can see her joy but as the next few years arrived you can see it was a show and she worked harder but you could feel that it had become not as joyful for her and you could feel her fear of Ike.

  • i gotta say her wig is crzy!

  • Ughh, I hate raspy voices, no power, not beautiful to hear!!!!! But tina is a great singer!

  • What do you mean no power, not beautiful? You must be listening to ppl who really cant sing. You cant listen to Tina and tell me there is no power in her. She is one of the best performers to ever walk this earth..

  • 1964. According to the roman numerals at the end.

  • Great jam, I think Tina is the only singer whoms voice hasn't changed from when she started. Thats what you call born to sing ;)

  • her voice did change...search for her appearences in 2004-2005

  • yes it did!

  • FANTASTIC! I've never heard this song, and i love it!

  • Thank you CrazyHorse, It has been too many years to count since I heard this song.

  • Happy 68th Bday TINA

  • 1962

  • Yeah it was the early 60's. Short skirts came I think late 60's early 70's

  • the short mini skirt was first introduced in 1965

  • wow... such a long skirt!

  • She has always been full of energy listen to that raspy voice! They had church haha

  • I wanna tell you that... I LOVE U TINA!
