  • how is celebrating your birth-day a pagan root? or any form of paganism? it's your birth-day, not a holiday.

  • I'm not a witness but I too choose not to celebrate pagan holidays. It is out of love that misguided people wish us a "merry christmas"and so when dealing with this I return the love by wishing them an enjoyable "holiday"sincerely hoping them to have a nice"time off"with thier families.Yahweh bless you.Peace

  • Once again spot on.why arent you a brother, you obviously know the truth abd your such a nice man.btw ignore the sixes in my user name i set the account up back when i was df'd and cant change it.

  • Colossians 2:16-17 'Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ."

  • VERRY GOOD ......THIS IS TRUE ...THESE ARE PAGANS ROOTED HOLIDAYS..WE HAVE TO DO WHAT GOD'S WAN;T US TO DO..

  • I was a witness for decades. I knew that Christmas and Easter had pagan origins prior to becoming and witness. I had decided not to take part in those holidays. I still no longer take part in those holidays. I did not see anything wrong with giving a child a birthday present and I still don't see anything wrong with that. Not being able to say happy birthday or I remember your birth on the date the child came into this world is wrong.

  • Cool video. The only thing ill have to correct you on is the pta, i dont think a jw parent would join that because of the no part of the world thing. But great video keep them coming!!

  • I know phony JW who cook a big family meal the day after Thanksgiving every year and everyone comes together to eat and gives thanks. They also buy gifts around Dec 25 and give it to the children Dec 26 or early Jan. Who do they think they're fooling? They're still celebrating it, just doing it on a different day. They deceive themselves just like their father Satan.

  • @YasharRapah Thanksgiving doesn't have any pagan origins. Its origins could be seen as luck to some- and divine providence to others. The Native Americans who encountered the pilgrims could have killed them, and no doubt were they probably both afraid of each other in ways. The Indians helped and taught them how to harvest and grow, which helped them survive. In return the pilgrims declared a 3 day feast to thank god, and to celebrate with the Indians who had helped them.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

  • That is a good explanation about jehovah's beliefs, and logically if we take a little of time to just watch people during holidays seasons, and their situations, maybe you might see something that does not make sense. we as humans we need to give thanks to God who created us and think about him all the time and learn and read his words. Any bible if king version, torah, the queen valera bible, etc etc they have the same information and tells you how to live your live according to his teaching.

  • surprises are better than knowing your going to get something on a certain day of the year, besides it seems obligated to give on dec 25 not from the heart

  • Hey im a witness and i enjoy my fair share of cupcakes, but i will make them just for the heck of it lol xD. I MAKE MY OWN CUPCAKES WHENEVER I WANT :P! I also had the problem with my grandparents giving me presents on the 25th of Dec. We, as a family, talked with my grandmother and explained ourselfs in a respectful way (thats the way to explain any of our beliefs, Respectfuly) and she liked how we handled it.

  • @BNAG1019 yes its the same here my nieces dont get christmas gifts instead i send them some a month later just for the heck of it

  • @ThirdNUnion Well im proud of you to sticking to your guns (so to speak). And yes i like it better when i get suprised in the middle of may with a girft card to (Enter generic store title here) rather than someone feeling they HAVE TO get me something on this certain day.

  • I love how the camara shot has him to the left of the screen allowing you tube time for the gold fish. :-)

  • @Hunley1961 ok and?

  • @Hunley1961 my founder is Jesus Christ not a man. I follow Jesus Christ. I'm an educated man both theocratically and scholastically. I dont like people wasting my time neither do i want to waste anyones time. Come with something thats veridical or else stop wasting my time. You can believe what you want, at harmegedon the truth will be revealed. I've read the bible so many times both self read and with the congregation so please dont waste my or your time.

  • @revengeofthesmurf 1914 beginning of ww1

  • Christmas is made by humans and its not mention in the bible therefore is fake

  • THE LIGHT HAS GOTTEN SO MUCH MORE BRIGHTER AND CLEARER SINCE 1908, You must be kidding to use a reference from all the way back then. Please stop wasting my time and yours.

  • @buddhadude i aint a witness, but i look down on u

  • @Hunley1961 since i've been a child growing up as a witness i've read the bible personally and within the congregation at least 15 times ( We Jehovah's witnesses read the bible within the over 100,000 congregations world wide, once every year and a half) the bible reading assignment is the same the world around. Now that is amazing. What we do is teach the bible. If you really want to learn of your creator and his wonderful son, our Lord Jesus Christ, study with the witnesses it's AMAZING.

  • @Hunley1961 what ever God wants us to do the Devil finds a way to convince people to do the opposite. Jesus when he was on the earth just before he was to die for mankind he stated in the upper room with his deciples to keep doing this in rememberance of me. Do what celebrate his birth or his death well in Luke 22:19 he said to keep on celebrating his death. In the bible not one mention of any bible writers celebrating his or her birthday but there are two accounts in the bible of birthdays..

  • just accept people for whom they are and what they believe in, Freedom and choice with love namaste x

  • Okay....but WHY dont they celebrate these things

  • @Marco1U idolatrous worship

  • Jehovah's Witnesses commemorate 'one' holiday, and it's 'all' about Jesus. Nobody or nothing else mixed in. And completely adhering to his directions.

  • @megthepearl two

  • just call Xmas what it is SATURNALIA and cut the crap!.... xmas is not a Christian festival...it comes from an oppressive so called HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE who wanted to keep that empire united

  • Maybe the only thing I agree with Jehova's Witnesses, or any religion for that matter, on. I'm agnostic, and I don't like to celebrate holdiays. Not for religious reasons obviously, but because in America, they are nothing more than ways for the big corporations to make money. It's entirely disgusting how consumerist this nation is. Shit, why don't the big CEO's just start leading everyone in prayer?

  • I am not JW but I support there stance on not celebrating Holidays because the bible does not support celebrating christmas, Easter, etc...These are pagan rooted holidays

  • @nishaboston Since all the Christian holidays are pagan-based, perhaps the whole of Christianity is pagan.

  • @nishaboston Christianity is Christianity, but it's total blasphemy going against God's will for our existence in his worship. Just be aware of what people are calling "Christian" because if not on guard you'd never now what they could introduce you to. Take the 4th century, it's a historical mark where as Christianity made a so called "turning point", and I'll probably SAY, this is why people would be so unnoticed about Paganism, because of this subliminal background. I'm glad you understand :)

  • @nishaboston - so is the ring on the wedding finger, so are the days of the week, so are decks of cards, so are the Olympics - pagan means nothing. Everything on the planet are just 'things' made by God and rituals/holidays just 'events', nothing has any power except what you put your conscience on. Put up a tree and lights, have a birthday party for your kids, and have a chocolate with krispies bunny. Nothing will attack you at night...

  • @firebirdhome preach precha preach.

  • @nishaboston - They flipflop their beliefs as it suits them. Here from their own WatchTower magazine:

WT 12/15/1903 - It is quite immaterial the day Christmas is celebrated; we may properly join in

WT 12/1/1904 - Don't quibble about the date; join in with the world and celebrate Christmas

WT 11/15/1907 - "Studies in the Scriptures" a good gift idea

WT 12/15/1926 - Christmas is so important, regardless of the date

  • So what? Jehovah's witnesses only defend their position regarding their non-participation in certain activities. We NEVER impose this position on others. The world CAN celibrate Christmas, birthdays, Easter, etc. WE choose not to and state the reasons when asked. Everyone should obey his/her conscience and it should not depend on chance but on education.

  • ok can u remeber a few birthdays what had heppen in the bible when the birthday man he wanted a gift and the woman promises him anything he wanted nd he wanted some one head (i cnt remeber the names that well) he wanted some one head so she had to go and chap of the head and bring it back on the platter do you think that god was pleased with that?????????

  • @ladyqpondascene

All that shows is that people are evil, not that birthdays are evil.

Just because someone chooses to do evil on a birthday or holiday

doesn't mean the thing their celebrating is evil, but the individual is evil.

  • @ladyqpondascene yes i think herod asked a girl what she wanted....pauls head, pharoah birthday was celebrated also. both enemies of the Living God

  • @ThirdNUnion True but what i really like to think of when it comes to this subject is that when one celebrates their birthday, that person is in a way makeing themselves gods for that day. I know that sounds like a silly point but is it not true? On one day of the year someone gets to have everyone around them give them presents and "praise" them for the fact that they were born. By all means i am not saying that your birth isnt important but the fact that someone is "worshiped" for it.

  • @BNAG1019 That pagan ritual, when they make cakes to the Queen of Heaven, light candles, turn off the lights, sing enchantments, and then have the birthday person make a wish (prayer to the Queen of Heaven) is actually the birthday person asking her to place her spell over them for the next year while they continue to sin and do wickedness and not have a conscious about their wrong doings. They are worshipping that pagan god not the person.

  • ummm i just wanted to say no where in the bible say to celbrate christmas or birthdays people celebrate because of christ birthdays can u reply to me back and show me in the bible that christ was born on the 25th a december he was not because no where in the bible told us that ok nd the only thing jesus told us to celbrate was his death he told us to keep celbrating this in rememberance of me ok so all these pagen worship celbrations are unrighteous ok nd it;s a sin

  • im so happy i dont celebrate birthdays or christmas! never had never will. i read in a Jehovahs Witness publications about kids saying that they would rather be surprised and not knowing that they are going to get a present than to know on a specific day of the year.

  • i love it! ***** very well done work.
