  • Daniel Boone is the best show from the 60's.

  • I love you and your obsession mate...god for you ;-) I grew up in the same era as you.

  • This guy's a joke! Fess Pahka? Who is that? Dan'l Boone was from Kentucky, NOT Massachusetts!!!

  • i am actually related to him

  • @ClydeMcFarlain I like how you think, Clyde...lol! I was thinking, what's his address? I got some jacking to do! LOL

  • Your a JERSEY Yankee,,,your no Boone fan,or a true southerner.

  • wow man haha

  • WOW, Does this Mike guy have a Massachusetts accent or what? I was raised in MA, now in Michigan 20 years. But I still recognize that accent, and Mike's happens to be really thick. Please, someone ask him to say, "park the car in Harvard yard."

  • Hi Mike,

I feel the same way about Fess/Daniel. One week before Fess passed away I purchased a b/w 8x10 action signed photo of him on Ebay. I have a certificate for it but no info. I believe it was taken during the shooting of the 4th episode "My Brother's Keeper" aired 10/8/64. I do not want to sell it--but sure would like to realize its value. I have never even found a like photo on the net.

  • whoah whoah whoah whoah was'ent fess parker davy crockett?

  • Great video Mike! We grew up, truly, in the good old days of television

  • I met him in Laguna beach and he was a very nice man and had a great wife. I wish they were my grandparents I thought. He gave me a bottle of wine from his vineyard signed Fess Parker. I drew a picture of a coon skinned cap for my mom and he signed it for her. It was lovely.

  • Ohhh ! the memories ! ! the memories !

  • Well........didn't you also like Fess Parker as Davey Crockett too???

  • I like this guy in the video. He's a big guy too and would fit the part of Daniel Boone, EXCEPT for his deep Baaaah'ston accent.

Can you imagine Daniel Boone running around the woods and speaking like he came from South Boston? That'd be hilarious.

  • @vassephardi LOL... Yeah, I didn't think yankees liked shows like Daniel Boone. Glad that guy proved me wrong. I used to work with and ended up becoming good friends with a guy from Worcester, MA who sounded like Mike. Now I'm from southwest Louisiana, almost TX and to yankees I guess I sound like J.R. Ewing. I became good friends with my co-worker and his wife, who was also from MA, but I had to listen closely to them and vice versa for us to all understand each other....LOL

  • @ridgerunner721601 Oh, they love the Daniel Boone series up here in the north. I was born in Charleston, West Virginia but was raised from a little boy in Brooklyn, New York.

I've been trying to find the complete series here on youtube but can't find it.

  • @vassephardi I'd love to find it on Youtube too! I remember TVLand had a Daniel Boone marathon one weekend a few years back, but I don't remember them ever airing the show again. If it's ever available on youtube I'd appreciate it if you would let me know. And if I find out about it I'll let you know. : -)

  • @ridgerunner721601 I've been searching for it for about a year now here. No luck.

  • @vassephardi Yeah, I'm afraid that to get the Daniel Boone TV series it would probably have to be ordered from Amazon or maybe somebody on e Bay would have it. I love a lot of the old shows from the '50s, '60s and '70s, and quite a few of them are on YouTube. In fact I was watching some old episodes of Get Smart and Laredo recently on YouTube.

  • @ridgerunner721601 Check out my GetSmart subscription. It has pretty much all of them. I found it over a month ago.

And there's a woman who tried to upload the Lost In Space series but was blocked by youtube. So maybe it's similar with Daniel Boone.

  • @vassephardi LOL Lost In Space brings back memories. I remember when I was a kid everybody hated Dr. Smith. He was a coward who would always hide behind Will when threatened by aliens. And there's one Get Smart episode in particular that I really liked. It was about an old man (Percy Helton) who wanted to destroy the world because he hated noise. Max and 99 ended up joining up with Siegfried and Shtarker to stop him. Also, I got to meet Bernie Kopell (Siegfried). He was a nice guy. : )

  • @ridgerunner721601 Dr. Smith was a homo assassin always creeping around with Will and massaging the kids chest from behind when threatened by aliens.

ll look for that Get Smart episode. I'd like to have met Bernie Kopell. He was also the hippie warlock on Bewitched. He'd drive in the living room on his motorcycle & barefoot. H was also the playboy doctor on The Love Boat.

  • Clint Walker Would Have Played Daniel Boone In The TV Series It Would Have Ran For 8 Years When Clint Walker Played Daniel Boone I Would Be Laughing When Clint Walker Would Have Played Daniel Boone. Ed Ames Would Be Mingo He Was The First And Only Choice To Play Mingo. When Clint Walker Played Daniel Boone I Would Laugh And I Would.

  • I served overseas with Daniel Boone. True story.

  • very catchy tune

  • I'm related to Daniel Boone.

  • @sailorpoop02

Lol so am i... My dads name is Daniel Boone

  • I remember this! We used to sing this song when we were kids, but we had different words. Our version went, "Daniel Boone was a man, was a BIG man...but the bear was bigger so he ran like a nigger through the woods."

  • @YinzRallJagoffs like a nigger up a tree

  • I understand the obsession Mike! Ole Fess as Daniel and Davy changed many of our lives! Great Times! Come see Mountaineer history on my channel...

  • Mike,

We were amazed by Fess Parker. Great for you Big Mike,

    Your Pal

    Fr. Dwight

Thanks for remembering for me when you and I and ten million other smart youngsters iwth big H

  • Mike, earts virtually were amazed by Fess Parker.

    Great for you Big Mike,

    Your Pal

    Fr. Dwight

Thanks for remembering for me when you and I and ten million other smart youngsters iwth big H

  • This was the saddest news I've heard in a long time. RIP Fess Parker.

Another sad reminder that time stands still for no one!

  • Fess Parker, a television icon to a generation of youngsters as Davy Crockett and later Daniel Boone, has died at the age of 85 of natural causes. on march 18 2010.

RIP Fess Parker you will be missed.

  • RIP Fess Parker, :(

  • Fess Parker, who brought Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone to life in 1950s and 1960s TV series, died Thursday at his home and vineyard in California, his family said in a statement. He was 85.

  • mike ,, it;s a sad day ..as you did , I looked up to this great man and the man he played. I wish they had made a movie in his later year. This man and show made my childhood a GREAT MEMORY..GOD BLESS HIM

  • I loved this show!!! Rosie Greer was on it too.

  • oh yeah rosie greer! i'm trying to download the shows and watch 'em.

  • Fess Parker passed away today at age 85.

    R.I.P. Fess .

  • Great video but I am saddened to hear of Fess Parker's passing. I too grew up with him and Ed Ames. But he has gone on to a better wilderness. He will be missed by many

  • to Mike: it is really great you are a Daniel Boone Fan--post more info on this great man

  • Mike, great to see you got to meet Fess Parker. I thoroughly enjoyed the last DVD on Season 6 and the Round Table. That must have been a real treat!

  • The lyrics are so familiar. As a kid this show was a foundation for play in our woods.

It was a good series, but now that I am older and a little better read up on colonial and post-colonial America, the show seems more like Davy Crockett than the real Daniel Boone.

  • hahaha, cool, I like this video, Mike.

  • mike, i'm four years your junior. i went to my first day of school with my d. boone lunchbox. I WAS NOT AFRAID. LOL

  • Mike-this is wonderful; you have a great collection of Boone memorabilia!

  • to sardonicusrexx: you obviously are either a young teenager; or gay; or both; and don't know what the hell you are talking about--cause us older folk recognize Fess Parker as a good actor--and you are the douchebag because you like guys--and Fess aint into that -and your angry about that. Go look up Adam Lambert from American Idol and hook up with his girly behind!

  • To OanyThePony-enough of your bitter sarcasm--you must be Gay--and you're just Mad because Daniel Boone was not--he was a man-which you are not. Sp go fill your sick gay fantasies with Adam Lambert of American Idol--you and Adam can wear lipstick and swish around together--i bet you are a gay teenager--you idiot.

  • I wonder if this guy is from boston? lol Fess Pahka. Great collection!!!

  • Daniel Boon likes meeeeeeeen, biiiiiiiiiiiiig meeeeeeeeeeeen

  • i have a friend called daniel boon.

    HES A LOSER. :)

  • So what.

  • Good man.

  • I used to think Boon and Fess Parker were the coolest thing ever. Years later i found out the truth. Fess is such a douchebag.

  • The *real* Daniel Boone was not very tall, had red hair, and was allergic to Coonskin

  • i am his biggest fan!!!!!

  • neat flintlock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • your awesome!!!! daniel boone is my new hero since today :)

  • Thanks for sharing, I got to meet Fess Parker on the set, he was very tall and very nice, I was really young, I was there to wach my dad act with him, and the rest of the cast. It was great! You can check out some pics of Fess and Dallas on Facebook under wendyoriginals.

  • Mike,

Loved your video & passion for our favorite TV series back when we were kids. I'd like to see another video of some of your collection with closeups & detailed descriptions or stories about your treasures. I thought Fess was the mostly manliest, good-looking man that ever lived... in a hetorsexual way. I'd race around the neighborhood with my musket rifle & pistol & coonskin cap & fringe jacket singing the theme song to the show.

  • I must say I did struggle as a kid with Fess Parker being Davy Crockett & Daniel Boone----my older brothers loved giving me a hard time about my passion for Dan'l &/or Fess.

You most certainly are the biggest fan out there i've ever seen. Have you been to his winery? It sucks that we have to get older.

  • Thanks for sharing your story---have any suggestions for me on just starting a small Fess Parker/Daniel Boone/Davy Crockett collection?

I also loved him in Old Yeller, & he looked good in that cowboy hat, but nothing like a Racoon cap!

  • did he say "daniel boone was a man, just a big man"? oh my word! everyone knows that it goes "daniel boone was a man, yes a big man"!

  • my 4th.great grandpa the real d boone.we are all daniels in my fam.

  • Daniel Boone is the greatest guy on earth. Thanks for making this vid!! I never knew there was a Daniel Boone series!!

  • Ten years later, in 1974, I felt the exact same way about "The Six Million Dollar Man."

  • Mike is a great man for remembering a show which encouraged values, charity, and friendliness. he is a gteat person for hias tribute to these men Fess Parker and Ed Ames particularly and all others who were in the television series for seven years 1964-1970. Those were wonderful years for all of us who were alkive then due to this memorable terasured series DANIEL BOONE.

  • And don't forget Cinncinatus the ole store keeper who called him Dane'l. He is very good friends with Fess Parker and Ed Ames! Dallas McKennon. I'm his biggest FAN, well because he's my Daddy!!! I'm the baby of 8 kids from Dallas and Betty McKennon, and he is turning 90 in July!!!!

Thanks for the memories of the Daniel Boone Show, ( and I know all the lyrics by heart)

  • we as kids then were captivated each day waiting for d boone to come on t v,it was the best, then go outside and play the show again pretending, very healthy time for kids back then, !!!

  • your stupid

  • it's spelled "you're"! not "your".

  • Great camera work on this video!

  • Who is this "Fess Paakaa" he keeps speaking of?

  • i don't blame you for being a big fan of daniel boone!

  • I think I went to high school with Danny boon.

He didn't do any of this stuff though...I don't think he even owned a gun, or a knife.

I remember one time when Danny Boon forgot his lunch when we went out on a field trip...he spent the whole day eating pine nuts and dandylion greens. I gave him one of my hershey bars, but he used it to set a trap for a fat kid that was a well-known bully.

I even remember one time Danny used a hershey bar to grease the squeeky hinges on his moms shutters...

  • ...anyway, I could go on and on about little Danny Boon. He was a good kid... come to think of it, he had a lot of misplaced energy.

Well, I'm sure by now he's probably living it up out in Boise or something...I wonder if he ever had those leg braces removed?

  • ...Oh, I just noticed you spelled 'Boone', with an 'E' at the end...my mistake.

Danny if your out there...I still have that butterknife I borrowed from you to scrape my bubble-gum off of the hood of your mothers Pinto.

    GOD SPEED old friend!

  • Ron Ely's Tarzan could kick Fess Parker's Daniel Boone's ass from here to breakfast time and back again.

  • Mike - this is great! Keep it up!! I'm a big fan too. I'm glad there are others like you who still enjoy Daniel Boone like this.

  • Mike -you are blood kin to a Griz!! Keep the Spirit alive, what a fine show it is, and back in the day - I was just as you described, we'd gather around the TV Thursday nights, and watch The Man - Fess! - and in those days, with only 3 networks - many people got inspired to start research on American history. "Daniel Boone" -- we got a start on the path to enjoying these heroic legends.

Keep the cheerful spirit Mike!! Fess?Dan'l - would be proud!!

  • Daniel Boon was big for sure but...not fat! He had only one chin not tow!?

  • Good for you! Keep up the tradition...

    Jack (1953)

  • Hey Mike, great cellar of Daniel Boone ....Daniel was relative of mine. It is cool to see others who love Daniel.......Thanks for your video....

  • The accent cracks me up! "Fess Paaaakkkka!"

  • Yeah, the game is called "Trail Blazers" I had so much fun playing it as a child! I still have it too! I have never seen another one but I'm sure that they are out there somewhere! good luck hunting it down Mike!!

  • Cool collection...Wow!

  • I'm not old but i like to watch it to, one of these days im going to order the hole series!

  • we realy need a Daniel Boone Now, to "go off to washington and kick some Political butt , (Kick them all out)like the song/ballard says..he can patch the libberty bell later

  • This is awesome!

  • Cool! What kind of rifle is that?

  • Looks like a .50 cal. muzzle loader to me, but I could be wrong.

  • It was a great show from a golden era in television. Daniel Boone and other shows set in American history sparked imaginations. I remember watching it over my grandparent's house in Quincy Massachusetts in color! a real treat! We never tired of playing "Daniel Boone" on many a long summer evening back in the 1960's. Fun sadly missing from today's kids.

  • Thats funny you mentioned that. My step brother and me used to play Daniel Boone in the woods as kids. One of us was Daniel and the other Mingo. Awesome show

  • thats great! I love it. It was a great show and its now on Dvd

  • LOVE that rifle, & knife!

  • great show i guess....available on dvd perhaps?

  • You have done very very well. I hope I find more about your collection as I go through You Tube. I know what you mean about having more space. The more space you get, the more stuff you find to put in it though. Thanks for bringing back great memories.

  • I loved that show too. Great collection Mike.

  • Mike Almeida Is My Uncle

  • im related to daniel boone.

  • Cool video. I hope you like your 64 Dodge 50 years poster....

  • Good for you!! It's fun to enjoy stuff like that.

  • daniel boone is my great great 50 greats later, grandpa! my grandma said so! i cant belive it!

    Thanks for the vidio!

  • Wow thers a game, cool im going to look for it!

  • I had that lunch box too!! I used to get made fun of because I was a girl and I carried that lunch box...LOL...I didn't care because I loved that show so much! and Fess Parker :) I wish I still had that lunch box...I keep looking for one like it but I haven't had any luck finding it :(

  • Yeah, its okay, i mean after all there were cal-gal's on Daniel Boone too. Its not like your gay or anything. Go ahead and forget about those who made fun of you, i think people like you are cool!

  • Loved This.

  • I had a daniel boone lunch box, wish i had kept it

Awesome video mike, awesome collection impressive

  • Yeah, I loved that show too. I've never collected anything though, but I sing the song every once in awhile.

  • Sorry Mike, but my grandma("Mike",her nickname)was THE BIGGEST FAN OF THAT SHOW that i ever knew about!!! She left for greener pastures back in 1990 after a very full life at the age of 98. But cheer up Mike, you can still have 2nd place after "The Great Fisher Woman Of Pleasant Lake"!!! here's to you grandma ;D hehehe

  • Mike is my uncle!!!!!

  • That was one of my favorite shows growing up. Sadly they can not make movies as good as that today. However today we have dancing monkeys talking lizards and a duck that sells insurance. Somehow Mr.Ed does not look so strange.

  • Daniel Boom!!!

  • Hey mike I've got a huge collection of autographed Fess Parker stuff. All of mine is davey crockett though. I'll sell if your interested.

  • did you know i am related to daniel boone?

  • "megan8152 (6 months ago)

did you know i am related to daniel boone?"

Then you and I are related. I am a direct descendant of Daniel Boone.

  • Good on you. I must admit, I was a fan of the show but nothing like you were/are. It brings back memories of when I was a kid. Good times. Times of make believe. It's nice to see someone who still has that inner child in them and that he's still happy. Good on ya.

  • Go Mike! I love seeing some of your collection here, and there's even more to see in the bonus section of Season 4.

  • That was a real nice collection.

  • Man - I can't believe how much this guy likes Boone! Crazy. I'm going to have to check it out.

  • Ha! I was almost 12 yrs old when this came out. I might not be the biggest fan, but I'm still a big big fan. I never missed it and wanted to live just like Daniel. hmmm, I still do!
