  • Border Collies are the best breed of dogs ever. I love mine liked there is no tomorrow.

  • why are you using that voice..it's a bit scary i think but also funny.

  • Ooooh this dogs whith the half white face looks just like a puppy i knew called shell. <333

  • You guys are quite nice people to devote all your time to these dogs.

if the dogs could speak they would probably be saying thanks for helping me :P

  • God bless you all guys for dedicating your life to those man's best friends. Great video. :)

  • THANK YOU for doing what you do. Border Collies are amazing.

  • Man that dog was far braver then mine when getting a booster ! as soon as my BC saw the needle he jumped off the table and started trying to get out the door lol ! such a woss :0)

  • I have a BC and she is a diabetic. She is the most wonderful person I know.

    BCs rock.

  • You do an amazing job with these beautiful, intelligent dogs. I have 3 border collies and I'm hooked.

  • I recently rescued a BC and can fully appreciate taking care of more than one! What a wonderful place the BCR is there in the UK. Do you take US visitors if we happen to be in the neighborhood?

  • Wonderful! A lot of hard work, but well worth it, and so rewarding.

  • what a great video it gave us much insight into a day to day basis at your farm

  • what do u feed them??

  • wow you have so many border collies. My mom got my families first border collie 11years ago and ther have been no regrets about getting her. How do you care for so many though? It has to be a lot of work to exercise all of those dogs.

  • wow u guys sure are busy especially with so many high energy dogs they are all so beautiful btw im just curious but what do u feed the dogs at BCR looks very interesting haha

  • Yeah, keeps us off the streets and out of trouble!

Dogs coming in eat their normal food (if we know) and unless on a special diet we gradually move them onto a complete food from the Gilpa or Dr. Johns range - both brands made by Gilbertson and Page Ltd. The company can deliver, even a single bag, to any of our foster homes anywhere in the UK. Enables diet continuity if dogs move around.

  • oh wow thats so cool i was just curious about that =) i feed shimmer the purina one cuz i heard that the pedigree one of their makers had something recalled and so far ive heard nothing of purina so im going with that... i hate all of these recalls they need to quit nowadays nothing is safe not even a poor family pet...

  • Yes, can understand your caution.

Gilpa is a family run company. Good quality control - source ingredients carefully.

Dont use the big firms. Globalisation leads to lack of concience. Mortality test on animals common. Most are subs of major chemical firms with ethics of rats - profit is their main concern.

Why pay for them to advertise and experiment?

  • I LOVE this line of thought, I employ the same! I feed raw, or totally uncommercialized products. If you can buy it at any old store, it's not worth feeding!!!

  • Thank you for a lovely video - what a great idea showing us what you do - well done for all you do for a wonderful breed - the Border Collie - a dog like no other. May you continue with this great work you do.

  • Hi yicelee. Thanks for your kind words (all the way from Malaysia). 10 years ago we had one of our dogs adopted by a Malasian Police dog handler. He and the dog were trained in drugs detection by Lancashire Police. The dog has retired now and has become his house dog. Small world!

  • Great work buddy, touch me a lot watching your video... Glad to know that there are a group of people like you all who are so dedicated and kind to the dogs. Hope to see more videos from BorderCollieRescue!!

  • Hi yicelee. I replied to your comment but in the wrong box so you probably did not get a notification - see below.

  • I have a rescued border collie as a pet and have heard about your group before. Thought the video was good. You do a great job.

  • Glad you like the video. Enjoy your dog and if you know about us, get in touch 'cos you may be able to help!

  • I enjoyed this video. I don't know how you keep it all going as volunteers. It must require a lot of dedication and sacrifice. Good luck to you all. You do a good job.

  • It's the dogs that keep us going. They energise us.

    Thanks for your goodwill.

  • How special you guys are for doing what you are doing, my wife and I have saved many abused and stray dogs and cats, I just love when I see other people giving these animals a fair chance in life. I love you guys for doing this!

  • It's good to get comments from people who have also rescued animals and know what the job entails. Animals don't get many fair breaks in the modern world and more needs to be done - even in so called 'civilized' societies. We do what we can do for the breed we love and respect.

Thanks for your input and please carry on doing what you can to help those animals in need.

  • Wonderful video! What a great way to share your story! I love the picturesque scenery as well! 5***** & Fav'ed

  • Thanks for the comment. Yes, It's a nice part of the country here in the Vale of York. A bit flat but the hills (Yorkshire Wolds) are nearby and make the view better!
