  • he was so surpised that so many remembered him - he has it & we all hear-so happy to see u here with us all---GO SEGER ROCK

  • so glad Bob is back he is with us all with he's music

  • Who are the 12 dislikes?

  • NICE! I remember when I was like 16I was trying to record my traveling tape (on 8-track mind you) using microphones.......the part where it gets real silent...after the autumn part.....my dachshund sneezed...:oD.....to this day when that pause comes I do the sneeze! Night Moves has to be one of the best songs, lyrically, ever....although Famous Final Scene is right there too.......Love You Bob!

  • Hey Kate, he wrote this about you and me.

  • amen Bob..amen

  • how could someone dislike this? ...its perfect.

  • V/9

    A/1

  • @weaping11reaper

this isnt a fucking torrent, its not supposed to be perfect quality

  • @Rush1013 What's your fuckin point? There are things called comments.. Yer suppose to write them in the comments section.. And my comment is how I feel about the Goddamn video... Ya see... I rip videos from YouTube to put on my External Hard drive, to watch on my 65in Television through way of VGA cable. So to me, this is kinda like a torrent, But besides all that, The comments section are for everyone to share what they think about the video/audio..If You don't like that? Eat a FUCKIN Dick!

  • @weaping11reaper

Hahahahahahahaha, trying to sound cool on the internet wont work out in your favor. Take a chill pill.

  • @Rush1013 Not tryin to sound "cool" dude, Tryin to explain to you what the comment sections of these videos are for.

  • @weaping11reaper

This is what youtube is all about, or at least was about until they sold out. Original videos like this from handheld cameras, and i dont know what your smoking, but this audio is pretty good.

  • @Rush1013 I don't know, I guess these headphones are going bad, I smoke sum bud. But I think I was drunk the night I left that A/V comment.

  • @weaping11reaper But hey, regardless of all that, I assume we are both Seger fans, So hellz yeah!

  • This is a song. I mean a brilliant song PERFECT! Love this tune. Always had a love for this song. Wayne

  • Thanks fgas....that answers my question.

Seger will always be a signature, legendary voice in rock.

  • May 7th ill be Rockin out to some silver bullets in Indianapolis. Im 22 This may be the last chance i get to see him live.. i missed his 07 show due to school... so pissed.. CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS SHOW.

  • oxygen=life.

    detroit=cars.

    rock n roll=BOB SEGER.

  • I'm sorry but Bob Seger is the Fucking Man!

  • I grew up listening to Seger, one of my favorite artists of all time, Im actually taking my dad to seger for his birthday!

  • Thank you for this Classic!

  • Jay.. you are so right on! Well said..

  • This is one of those iconic Rock N' Roll songs that can literally transport me to another time in my life with just the opening strums of the guitar. Bob Seger is Rock N' Roll, Seger is the epitome of all that is Americana, gritty, soulful, and real music. I realize most are sick of hearing about Justin Bieber but here is the grim reality. He will never put out a song that will stick around on radio 20 years down the road and have that song put a smile on someones face like Night Moves does.

  • @JayRocksIbanez AMEN TO THAT!!!!

  • @JayRocksIbanez True story... This song brings up memories of things long passed. I can remember listening to this when I first fell in love. That was 10 years ago those were good days, time flies.

  • I think he's terrific!

  • great to see how he plays it up close, original progressions or not, who cares what key it's in, he is still a great writer and performer. thanks for the post!

  • great to see how he plays it up close. thanks!

  • I gotta say, I came here looking for some recent Seger live music because I've always liked him and thought I would go see him on this new tour. I attend about 10 concerts a year. This is not that great and I don't care if he's in his 60's or not. I saw Joe Cocker year before last and that guy can still belt them out. Some of you people need to quit taking some of these comments so personally. The truth is the truth. He just doesn't seem to have it anymore, at least not in this video.

  • That neither answers my question nor addresses my point about John Fogerty.

Fogerty will be 66 this year, too. Mark Farner of GFR will be 63 and he still belts them out in the original keys.

So, I'll ask it again: Does Bob do every song stepped down....or is he just giving his throat a rest here? Has he had vocal problems in the past?

I think he still sounds great....and I've been listening to him since he came out with "Heavy Music" in 1967 as Bob Seger and the Last Heard.

  • @centrehice Bob is a heavyyy smoker....he drops a lot of his songs these days. Fogarty never sang nearly as high as Uncle Bob....especially the chorus of Hollywood Nights, or the original version of Old Time R & R, which was in G major. Not slagging Fogarty...love him too, but Bob pushed the upper end of his chest voice a lot more than Fogarty back in the day. Maybe he's paying for it now.

  • Does Bob do every song several steps down from the original?

The original is in Ab. This one's in F.

Don't get me wrong...he's likely giving his throat a rest......but John Fogerty still belts out his tunes in the original keys.

  • @centrehice He's 66 years old buddy... Try belting out a song you wrote 30 years prior when you're his age.

  • @centrehice He's 66 years old buddy... Try belting out a song you wrote 35 years prior when you're his age.

  • @centrehice Well Seger's voice back in the day was one on the very strongest is all of rock. Not as strong today, sure. Still pretty damn good.

  • 12 people had their bowels move. Right into their brains.

  • I remember Seger when I was a teenager back in the 70's and the dude rocked.I don't remember how many dubes and cans beer we drank while listening to his tunes. Them were th good old days, can I get an amen ?

  • I'm excited to hear that Bob has a new tour planned. I might actually get a chance to see him if he comes to Vancouver; fingers crossed!

  • awwwwwww.well said ironwillradio...

  • Great song of the 70's. He can still rock and play the guitar like a true rocker!!!

  • I sure wish they would ban these home videos.

  • Gawd, he's even better in '06 than he was in '76...

  • AWESOME!!! I was at this show too... SEGER IS STILL AWESOME!!!!

  • Saw several of your Seger vids and enjoyed them immensely. Thank you. Brought me back...thanks

  • One of the greatest tunes of all time, I never get tired of it. I still play my "Nine Tonight" cassette! "It's just like southern Michigan summertime."

  • One of the greatest tunes of all time, I never get tired of it. I still play my "Nine Tonight" cassette!

  • Watching your team in the Super Bowl $500, Watching your team in the National Championship: $300, Watching Bob Seger for 2 1/2 hours: Priceless!

  • Dude I have always been a fan of Seger but his voice sounds terrible now

  • @MrBuc128 dude stfu you prick; His voice still sounds great even when he sings Old Time Rock & Roll. So don't be dissing Seger when u are fan.

  • @MrBuc128 leave.

  • What a thrill that must be to have the entire auditorium singing along to your songs....this is such a classic from the 70s

  • His voice has changed a lot but he's still great.

Great musicians can find a way to keep going and adapting when their body tries to stop them.

  • @JustinMarkBailey Dude he's old thats why; but he still sounds good

  • California boy in Kansas City,,

the "UNCLE BOB" of rock n roll!!!!!!!!

    Uncle BOB!

  • AMEN...to what Ironwillradio says.....and to ...Deborah Camilla Barrett... well.....

    thanks...

    dmg

  • If I had1/10th of the talent this man has I'd be happy! Bob Seger= Legend, and you can take that to the bank.

  • he sucks now but seeing him in the 70s he was so much beter.

  • I really hope Bob puts out another live album. Ya know, like Live Bullet, but with a newer and more complete set list. I would buy twelve copies!!!!!!

  • Thanks SOOO much for posting! I was at this show and it was everything I could've imagined. Hope he plays The Fire Inside on his next tour.

  • Love Bob Seger and this song...and most his songs seen him in KC myself several years before this when he was still fairly young he kicked butt!! You can bet the fans in KC were going nuts! You can tell hear them all yellin'! That how we roll in good ole Ks.

  • BOB SEGER WILL ALWAYS BE THE MAN!!

  • BoB Rocks...\m/

  • you have crowd singing involved in the recording. he sounds as good now as he did back in the early days! His music will play me off this earth!

  • one of his best. He said that he was going on tour in october, november.

  • one of his best songs. He said that he was going on tour again.

  • he's bob seger he can sound any way he damn well please's...when you shit talker's can come up with a better song then you've got the right to say somethin..until then shut up

  • @blaqphyre

And sell 40 million albums lol

  • It sounds different because he's actually singing the song in the key of F,as he has the guitar tuned down. Originally, the song (as far as the original studio vinyl version goes) was recorded in the key of G, and that's what your brain wants to hear again. When you're 70 years old, you'll appreciate any breaks in straining you encounter, and Bob's assuredly no exception.

  • Nobody ever seems to be happy with anything now a days the Man is still doing it after all these Years and Most Likely he Sings whole lot Better than some of these @#$#%^ Critics that have nothing better to do but leave ignorant Comments wherever they Go

    >>>Sherif

  • His voice sounds like he just did nitrous oxide.

  • he's gotten older like alot of them and yes his voice sn't as good, but still a big draw. if people will shell out to watch a 66 yr old man strut around in tights on stage. wuld like to see him once more. when i saw him in vancouver in 96 I've never seen so many hells angels in place at once..LOL

  • brings back alot of good memories i miss those days and yes he still has it

  • has nothing with the quality of the audio.... tuned down to begin with and still a struggle for him...it sounds horrible compared to the original...musta been the 3 packs of cigarettes a day.

in any case, time and age unfoirtunately have this affect on many singers....

the beatles have some great hits , but seger has more soul and midwest mojo than any performer.

nobody can compare to the beatles so that is a wasted effort comparing them.

  • Unfortunately, only wine gets better with age. Eventhough all the classic artists are showing their age it's still nice to see them doing it. This song was done too slow and maybe in a lower key. That would contribute to it souding off as well.

  • supremewhiteguy.. your a moron dude. the beatles are one of like two bands that have that many hits. they're very rare. atleast bob has some sole and some emotion to his songs. thats why his songs are still so popular to those who enjoy them.

  • Bob Seger is definitely the shit!! So many good ass songs, and the riff in "her strut" is so sexy!!

  • Goddamn I regret not going to this show, Bob is the shit!

  • excellent song great video

truhero what do you expect with a cam mic

judges should take a day off

  • I agree, knowing what this man's voice once was, that this is a difficult listen. even dropped this far, it's still well out of his range, but what's really lacking is the air, the force, the strength to underscore the conviction. it's still a deep and powerful lyric but he simply doesn't have the muscle to pull it off. I'd contrast that with Elton John, whose voice, though it's deepened dramatically and lost much of its suppleness over time, still remains very powerful.

  • most of the problem is just plain bad audio recording it would sound alot better if it was professiomally recorded

  • i met him last night! i got to talk to him in his own house

  • hes lost it? are you tone deaf or just retarded?

  • come on Bob please tour again

  • His voice is much deeper, hes lost it

  • BeASimpleMan:

Just because his voice is deeper or has changed/matured doesn't mean he's "lost it." He is still a legend, and he's still singing.

  • Every time I hear the first notes, today becomes 1977 and I'm flung wrecklessly in the arms of another 15 year old drinking underage beer surrounded by summer smells.

    Thanks, Bob.

  • @ironwillradio That was a really beautifully-rendered memory. And somehow, we can all relate, no matter how old we are. Thanks for sharing.

  • @ironwillradio WOW,Cant beat the Dude. Here in IRELAND, Same respect,,

    Well said, Take Care,

  • @ironwillradio great comment thx

  • @ironwillradio I have seen him in concert, and everytime I here the first notes, yeah 1977 all over.

  • @wizeazz101 - and what a time it was.... thanks for the comment.

  • @ironwillradio wtf is underage beer?

  • @pelzar200 Near Beer 1%

  • This guy's the best--hands down the very best.

  • I think for someone who had throat cancer he does EXTREMELY well - we still love him!

  • He actually never had throat cancer--that was just a rumor that circulated for much of his career.

  • Those opening chords on the acoustic guitar on 'Night Moves' give me chills to this day every time I hear them. What a great song.

  • You're right, he sucks. That's obviously why his first show on his returning tour sold out in under 5 minutes.

  • ha - good one!

  • hindview is appropriate...your head is in your ass...Seger sucks?...i know a whole generation that would bitch slap you for that comment...but youre entitled to your opinion

  • TO THINK I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE

  • I'm pretty sure he's playing it right here in this video! And not bad either!

  • And you can't speak or spell.

  • The night will move slowly when segar shows up.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB!!!

For me, this has always been the best song ever. Fell in love with Bob with this song almost 33 years ago - and my man Jim. Still love Jim & practicing our night moves.

On March 13 2007 I was in the center of the first row at the Joe and he sang this directly in front of me. It was more than I had ever dreamt it could be

  • I used to be a black haired beauty with big dark eyes. Now I'm an old blond with big dark eyes. Can use to lose a few pounds and nothing is standing up firm and high. But how I remember those night moves. I remember.

  • Stand on it BOB!!!!!!!

  • workin on my night cheeze

  • I used her she used me but neither one cared .... You are the man Bob !!!!!

  • Great video!

    Good job!

  • bob seger for many years didn't really appreciate like i should ...i grew up during the 80 hair bands days...but as i got older...i love seger...this is one of my favorites, but personal fav of seger is travelin man/beautiful lose...awesome music just feels good listening to it long live rock and roll

  • funny things happen in the night moves and you will never foget them..............

  • woke up to the sound of thunder, how far off I sat and wondered. started hummin a song from 1962,and it strange how the night moves, when you just dont seem to have as much to lose, its crazy how the night moves with autumn closin in......

  • cell phone low production ,does bob have any good live film footage anywere?all his concert footage is c prodution film, sound crap, bruce springsting has much better sound and film footage ,seger sings more from the heart

  • Bob Rocks! A true American singer/songwriter.....

  • anyone try to top that shit.... ya cant because BOB SEGAR rocked it out then and still now...... love this song and almost every song he has ever made..... OUT IN THE BACK SEAT OF MY 60 CHEVY!!!!!

  • lol my mom was here.

BS im a bigger fan than her

  • Wish Bob would come back to CLEVELAND, OHIO!!!!

  • Long live the old rockers!

  • My son, who will be 30 in January, is named MATTHEW SEGER . We were definately into the music and GUNSMOKE in those days!!

  • remeber when bob segar ate his face off

  • real music for a change...been awhile...when i was younger didn't really appreciate..33 now...good song

  • absolutley outstanding song! i was sat here with shivers going up my spine the whole way through!!

    LONG LIVE SEGER!!

  • what a great song writer!

  • not liking bob seger is un-american

  • bob seager was the greatest concert I ever been too.

  • Bob, you need to do ONE MORE TOUR!! I have loved you for years and you still kick ass! I was front row for your concert here in Cleveland December 2006...I had chills! If you cant tour, come do a show here...ONE MORE TIME!

  • I LOVE this man....he needs to tour one more time...come on Bob!!! I had front row seats to your concert in Cleveland...you are phenomonal!

  • great tune

  • Nobody can be compared to Seger and Springsteen....thats plain silly

  • If you like Bob check out James Parker's Angry Young Man video. He's only beginning to get attention and is compared to a young Seger or Springsteen.

  • Wow what a classic! This is the album and song that got me into Bob. I'm glad to see he's still doing it. I wish he would come close so I could see him.

  • Oh man, he sounds terrible here...is it just the video or is it the screaming fans drowning out his voice?

I mean, I love Bob Seger, but in this performance he just sounds drunk in places. And I know he can sing well live, I've seen him before. I dunno what happened here.

  • It's definitely the video. Check other ones.

  • I saw him during that tour in Milwaukee, 11th row center, he was as awesome then as he was the very first time he preformed it in public New Years Eve 1977, Wing Stadium, Kalamazoo, MI... funny I saw him half of his life time ago, and he still remains one of my favorite artists.

  • I was there its the video,i taped it and it sounds great on mine lol.was my 46th birthday sing on Bob.

  • This sounds as though it was recorded bootleg in the audience which isn`t always the clearest. He is not drunk. Great song I was born in 62 & I sing this song perfectly at the Filling Station in San Diego

  • If you think this video is bad, have I got news for you.copy and paste Bob Seger - Mainstreet Live .Under the video the article starts off saying live at rupp arena so you will need to scroll down then come back and tell me this video is bad.I've spent countless hours on youtube watching all of his live videos and this is one of the very best.

    SB

  • there's none better

  • God, I wish I could have caught this concert. This is real music, not like today's garbage. Even at his current age, he can still carry a tune.

  • ...damndamndamn! where's the dvd Bobby?!

  • im wantin to know the same thing cuz i was at the concert they filmed if u get any info let me know

  • Music now sucks.. I'm so glad I know what good music like this is!

  • Damn...this man can still move mountains. Loved this back in the 70's and love it tons more now. Seger forever.

  • BOB you write songs that send a chill down my back and my own memories play in my head. I don't mind if you change the key, or dont sing like a bastard anymore, but you will always KICK ASS.

  • I love Bob Seger, despite barely being born when he was making music.

  • yeah... this guy is the real deal. Love Seger, love this song.

  • This guys the man

  • I would buy tickets to see Bob in a heartbeat

  • bob is getting up there in age but still can sing was a great concert in Missouri :)

  • This song wacks a person so nostalgic in a good way. And what I like about Seger's performance here is that he didn't try to make any over-the-top changes on the song. He sang it the way people remember it.......great seats by the way.

  • Right on!

  • waxes nostalgic is the term ur looking for...i just dont want u go to further or farther in life sayin it wrong..i been wrong before and nobody told me

  • LOL...nobody cares here, brand

  • Detroit Blues at its best

  • what a song !!! he has style. he's unforgetable..... LOVE U BOB

  • The master giving a masterclass pure class pure genius thankyou

  • Saw him in Nashville, TN, 12/06...awesome! Sounded so much better in person than he does on this clip...but the clip is great. So appreciate him doing this tour...was hoping for it for a long time! I don't think we sat down for 10 minutes during the whole show. And what's so amazing is the the Gaylord arena was FULL...this man still packed it out at 61 and showed us what it's all about. There is nobody like him.

  • I like the song very much even if I´m just 17. To my mind Bob Seger touches our soules when he sings.

Unortunately today there is no comparable muic but I think there are not a lot of such young listeners like I am.

Thnk you for this masterpiece of music

  • Just maybe, John Melencamp can come close to good ol' Bob:)

    Paul

  • im with ya, im 18 goin on 19 and I love bob seger, he is the true pinnacle of what music should be

  • if you can't appreciate bob seger or don't think his music is timeless, then I have to say you don't "get it"

Seger really gets to the soul

  • Ya I agree, Unfortunately I dont see anyone ever writing music like this for a long time...I think these artists will be "current" forever

  • What a true true rock legend. What rock and roll music should be about. There is nothing like this out there today and I am sad to say doesn't seem like ever will be again. His songs touched people and made them feel a certain way. Thank you, thank you, thank you Mr. Bob Seger for allowing me and many others to share your gift.

  • Does anyone know where I can find this on myspace.Message me thanks

    ~Anne

  • Awesome, great performance indeed.

  • the best singer in the world he was brillent inelligent you would be stupid if you diint like him

  • geez, his backup singers STILL sound fantastic

  • If you didn't go to any of his concerts and think they sound good here, you should have heard them there.I was impressed myself.

  • one of the greatest

  • Still blows most of the competition out of the water> Brillant!

  • it's funny, I listen to the radio and people like seger come on and its like "man, i'd like to see some new artists attempt to try and write songs this good"

  • great

  • Thanx for the memories Bob. KEEP ON ROCKIN !!!!
