  • AMEN!

  • And to think people can find fault with 2 Cor. 5:17.

  • Great song Ernie.

  • topp topp haleluja amen

  • all must to hear it

  • Could someone point to ANY verse in the Bible that says singers have to sing Gregorian chants only? There are numerous stories in the Bible about singing and dancing. David danced naked before the Lord. Tambourines, horns, drums, lyres and every other instrument of the time is mentioned. What makes anyone think God does not like foot stompin hand clappin music?

  • amo muito esse quarteto. Deus continue abençoando esses grandes homens!

  • Thank you for singing that song. It is the truth that He can make a change in the

way anything happens because you can give it to the Lord. To be a Christian and know that everything is okay with you and the Lord is AWESOME.

  • there are a lot of ignorant people here and they need to grow up. the bible says make a joyful noise unto the lord. may you rejoice and be glad in it. ok well i think they are making a joyful noise and i think they are happy doing what they are doing. so stop being ignorant and get over yourself

  • What a great song and a great group. Thanks for sharing. ALL STARS & Thumbs Up!!!

  • @caswell1000 dette er jo bare topp haleluja amen

  • Keep on singing, guys!

  • Amazing Sound.. Sing Brothers!

  • Old Timmy can sure growl! Great song.

  • I just love this group. They just go together. And seem to know what each other will do next and jump right in. They enjoy the music and God. You can tell they are Godly men. I have not heard the new group yet. But as long and these are here that is all I want ot hear. God Bless you

  • You want gravity: check "I Then Shall Live" done by EHSS & GVB.

  • Hallelujah!!

  • This group of EHSS is the best group of signature sound ever! The new guys just dont quite have this yet, but they will get there :) :) Love this album

  • @The77nathan77 I tend to agree.

  • @The77nathan77 I tend to agree.

  • The bible says to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. I have no doubt that their "noise" is made to the Lord. There is nothing that says christians can't have fun or excel at what they do. They have great talent, wonderful harmonies, and excellent technique. They inspire people to love gospel music. Hou could that ever be wrong. They are telling the right message of Christ. Different can be really good and in this case it is in my opinion.

  • THEY ARE JOYOUS AND PRAISING THE LORD! Look at all the people there glorifying God with them!!!

  • DITTO ON MISSING JD AND GEORGE! BUT THIS GUY AND SORRY DON'T KNOW HIS NAME BUT OH MY WHAT A BASS SINGER! EVERYBIT AS GOOD AS EITHER JD OR GEORGE! KEEP ON KEEPIN OM BRO! LOVING IT! GOD BLESS YALL!

ERNIE AND THE SS...... NEED TO SEE YALL IN PENSACOLA!

  • Let's judge not lest we be judged by that same measure. You are looking at their exterior appearance; God looks on the inside, right? Since you are judging, are you God? I'll bet not!

  • I Love It ! The holy spirt I feel in this song makes me want to dance around too. The song "Stand By Me" even more so ! If a person can't feel the holy spirit in them then I suggest having a little talk with Jesus because something is wrong! Daniel, in the bible sang, danced and played musical instuments to the Lord because He felt his spirit and it made him happy. His wife said something to the effect of your acting like and idiot. He told her, Women you aint seen nothing, YET !!!

  • I was not speaking of their clothing. Worldy, as in to be famous they 'spiked' up their hair, simply not modest. They dance around like idiots. You term it Christian fun? How about putting some gravity into their 'fun'? How about thinking about Who they're supposed to be singing for?

  • @BeyondtheGoldenShore Well then to be what YOU call Christian, they should be wearing sack cloth and sandals and be unshaven as the Jews did not shave. Don't forget Jesus is a Jew.

Rest assured God listens to them and is tapping His foot too! Jesus does not care how you look or what you wear, only mean spirited self appointed critics. Remember, before you point out the splinter in another's eye, first remove the BEAM from your own.

  • @BeyondtheGoldenShore please not that this is not a prayer and fasting session, or a meditation song. NIETHER is it a carnival. and when since did spiked hair equal automatic fame? GRAVITY? im a sciene major, so dont even GO there. Gravity was in perfect working order, because they werent floating all over the palce like astronauts on the moon.

  • @BeyondtheGoldenShore So I suppose you wear suits/dresses that covers every inch of your body. You're hair is very plain, no fancy hairdo's for you! That's blasphemy! And forget makeup or anything that makes you look good. That's not modest!

Grow up. God doesn't care what you look like, nor how you dress or even how you style your hair! He looks at the heart of a man. Judging these men just shows us your heart, and it's stingy!

  • @Fyndy tell me how that is blasphemy

  • @chrisrodriguez53412 If you don't know, I'm not going to bother explaining myself. Figure it out for yourself.

  • @BeyondtheGoldenShore How could you not dance or shout when you think of the gift God gave to us. There's one judge, don't try to take His place.

  • These men arent singing for the Lord anymore, if they ever were. They sing for the crowd, and for their money. Look at them. They're worldly, they dont look any different than any high class singer out there. It's a shame, as Ernie started out so well...

  • @BeyondtheGoldenShore whats THAT supposed to mean? HELLO! christians dress formally, and the other singers dress formally too! no1 hit out against michael jackson for wearing formal attire when he performed onstage! and how do you come to the conclusion that they are worldly?! and what do you call a shame? 4 young men forming a group to enjoy themselves with good, clean CHRISTIAN fun, and also entertaing a crowd at the same time?

  • @BeyondtheGoldenShore Signature sound is THE BEST group out there....I mean, come on! They sing the good old gospel songs the way they were written.....I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

  • @BeyondtheGoldenShore is apparently part of that famous religious group, The FROZEN Chosen! ;-)

  • @FOOFOOKITTY Lol! Love this comment, if I could I'd give it 100 thumbs up. ;-) I'm so remembering the frozen chosen. <3

  • @BeyondtheGoldenShore Signature Sound is using creativity and a contemporary flair, but by all means the message remains solidly conservative and they are spot on from a Biblical standpoint. I am appalled at the way churches are conducting themselves today. Compromise and a watered-down message is the rule of the day. Trust me, these guys can make the right impact on our young people today. These guys are not afraid to sing songs about the cross or the blood of CHRIST! Most churches don't.

  • Tim can't hold a candle to Triumphant Quartet's Eric Bennett. The notes Tim appears to be struggling to hit are not that low. He's overrated big time.

  • @saxfan1954 That's not true. His notes are very low. Anything below C is hard to sing even for best basses

  • My father has taken me to see George and JD in my lifetime...so to repay the favor in December i purchased ticket's for march for our new favorite bass singer Tim Duncan...this is really heart breaking...

  • Comment removed

  • I just read the announcement that Tim Duncan is leaving EHSS. Ian Owens is the new bass. he will have serious shoes to fill. Tim Duncan is THE BASS MAN.

  • @Gizmologist09 why is he leaving? :(

  • @Gizmologist09 now way... TIm cant leave EHSS!

  • I agree- Tim Duncan is a great bass singer! He is among the best I have ever heard.

  • tim riley, ray reese, and richard sterban are the greatest imo.

  • He made a change in the way I'm dancing! Praise the Lord!

  • But I gotta say, they have a little too much "attitude" for my liking. Sounds less like glorifying the Lord, and more like showing off or trying to be cool. I prefer the Cathedral's version.

  • @AtariMaxiTariyama. sounds like someone likes to judge to much instead of being amazed at how good they are. i bet god and jesus are not complaining. i think almost anyone would love to have a voice like theirs {me for one}. if they dont make you want to rejoice, i dont know who could. they are great

  • @MsAlabamagirl Sounds to me like someone is mocking me by using my wording against me. Thank you for doing what the Lord would certainly do in your situation. I apologize for having an opinion. I didn't realize that I'm not entitled to the same rights as other human beings.

  • @AtariMaxiTariyama So the guys and the audience are not supposed to like the music and the beat and not enjoy singing? Perhaps you have read this: Make a JOYFUL noise unto the Lord.

What makes you think God does not like this kind of rousing and exciting message in song?

  • Isn't that the same guy from The Cathedrals? The high-pitched guy? Doing the exact same part?

  • @AtariMaxiTariyama Yep, that's Ernie Haase. George was his father-in-law.

  • WOW i love these people better than Justin Bieber and the Jonas brothers!!! they rock...i totally agree with you guys about the base singer. I also like all the other guys.

  • AWESOME!!! LOVE THE LORD!! BLESSINGS!!!

  • I love these guys! So much energy and charm. They love the Lord and it shows. Tim is a great bass singer. All of them have nice voices.

I thank God for this wonderful group.

  • We sang this when I was younger at my church's Kids Camp...I never thought I would find this song again. Thanks for uploading; made my day!

  • Thank You, Lord, for the talent in these Your witnesses!

  • Thanks for posting this incredible group!

  • love this video and love Ernie Haase & Signature Sound.

  • who sings the lead on this

  • WOW Isn't Tim amazing as well as the rest of the group. Can I get an Amen!?

  • @pshstiger09 AMEN!!! :D

  • Hallelujah! God made a change!

  • This is one one of the best ones...Ernie usually lookes like he is trying to lay an

egg hopping all over the place..Just looks stupid.

  • @crocobull maybe he is jumping for God

  • I never will forget the day I saw my papaw come walking into church. He had dropped mamaw off and picked her up all her life. One day when I was about 10 she came walking in and sat down like usual. The preacher started preaching and here came papaw walking through the doors and I had never seen mamaw look so happy. It was amazing. God CAN make a chanage !!! She prayed without ceasing for him to turn to the Lord and he did. Amen !?

  • @10ecn Amen! Amen! Amen!

  • Great version... But, cant be compared to Cathedrals!!! Cathedrals are a good way better than SSQ...

  • Ryan is not leaving the group. Im in contact with them everyday on myspace.

  • @brittlipthratt Ryan left several months ago.

  • @spiderchocolat3 Why did he leave?

    He is my favorite!

  • @michellelovescena nobody has really said anything as to why he left. his replacement is Devin McGlamery, formerly of Karen Peck and New River. Ryan has an awesome voice and it kind of sucks that he left; but from what I've heard of Devin, he's pretty good too. Ryan has since gone solo and released a CD.

  • @spiderchocolat3 Do you know what the cd is called?

This really sucks:| but as long as hes happy with his choice and i mean hes just happy then ill be happy too.

  • @michellelovescena The Stage is Bare

  • @spiderchocolat3 Oh okay.

  • tim duncun is the best not many can get that low in notes like he can

  • super song.....

  • I love how the bass singer sings with his eyebrow raised. It's so Sean Connery!

  • This song was first recorded by the Cathedrals when Ernie Haase was a member. He did an awesome job with this song!

  • Does anyone know why Ryan is leaving the group?

  • look at Ernie's Face at 2:20!

  • sub me and join my group

  • Super! one of ernie's best

  • Wait there losing a member!?!? who which one the lead, bass, bare tone, or tenor? I'm sory I don't know there names but why? they losing a member? Also 16 and love the old groups the best.

  • lead is Doug in the green, bass is Tim in the red, tenor is Ernie in the black, Ryan is the one in pink

  • @mefiesta012 Thank you. =)

  • i can't believe Ryan is leaving :( but it will be fun to see what the new guy (can't remember his name, but he used to sing with New River) can do.

  • This is the music God listens to.

  • The older Cathedrals version is sooo much better

  • Wake up, friend! Your enemies are those who water down the message of the Cross, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ... What part of this song compromises that much-needed Truth? Do you make negative comments on Contemporary "Christian" Music videos, pronouncing dire judgment on their appearance, staging, and lyrics? A soldier who takes pot-shots from his tent at others on the front lines would be court-martialed... Or do you not realize there is a war on?

  • I'm 22, and if I'm not listening to old country music (Marty Robbins for example) I listen to southern gospel!

  • God bless you!super!

  • what do you mean?

  • Probably because he was the weak link in the group!!!

  • What utter rubbish you do talk!!!!

  • Anyone know why Ryan left the quartet ?

  • I am a teenager, and my favorite groups are the old ones. Most of the new ones are not my taste at all.

  • I wish people would stop comparing groups. I love the Cathedrals and I love EHSSQ and many other groups. I love the groups at our church. The bottom line is when you do your best for God down here on earth it is all equal up in Heaven to Him. There is always gonna be somebody that can physically sing better no matter how good you are down here. What matters most is reaching the lost no matter what it takes to bring them to Christ.

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!

  • Saw EHSS last night in Cincy. AMAZING! Love you guys! Keep spreading your message and making the difference. Made my day. LOL

  • Loud suits? Where? Someone needs to go see what a loud suit is by looking at some of the swing bands of ol and the neo swing bands.

I can tell you this. NO young person would listen to the old gospel bands. But EHSS can reach a whole new generation for Christ.

That same attitude has made churches fail. They think we have done this way for 50 yrs why change now then before long they are gone. YOu can update with the times as long as the heart and message stay the same

  • @lovemymac I don't think that he/she meant it in a bad way. Read the rest of their comment. As for young people not listening to the older groups? I am relatively young and love to hear the Cathedrals and groups of that era and have since I was a teenager. :)

  • "I can tell you this. NO young person would listen to the old gospel bands."

That, my friend, is where you are wrong. I LOVE the old gospel bands and know quite a few other youngins who do as well. This same argument goes with the barbershop community as well. There are young people who love the old groups. While the new sound is great, we can't forget where we started from...can't forget the roots of the music we sing and love.

But I do agree that the new sound will bring in more young people

  • Wow!!! nice God Bless u all

  • The Cathedrals were one of the greatest of all time and arguably the best. But, Ernie and SS are one of the freshest new sounds in gospel music today, and their comical, loud suits, wild shoes and crazy hair may just reach someone for the Lord that a straight laced group just can't reach. I'll let GOD be the judge and in the time I have left on this earth, KEEP ON SINGING BROTHERS!

  • Anything this group does is Awesome!

  • I listened to two other groups sing this song and it just sounded old and not fun, but Ernie and SSQ give this song new life and make it fun.

  • Now how did you make that deduction?

  • They are awesome. I like them.

  • Tim's a good bass, but I also think Glenn Dustin of L5 can hold his own...

  • Amen, Glenn hits the double low G on this song in concerts, sounds good and strong when he does to. Tim is ok, but Glenn and George outdid him on this song....

  • Well......The bass Tim is great and Doug(baritone) is magnifique(super!)

  • baritone, best in the world!!!!!:)))

  • Tim is the best bass singer alive....it is hard to find a bass voice that sounds as good as his now a days.

I sure do miss JD summer, and George younce

  • @luv2wubsy some people have a voice like tims i know i do i sing right along with some of george younces songs and tim riley and also jd i can sometimes hit that low note that he had but that is sometimes

  • @luv2wubsy Agreed :D

  • I like this song so much that I had to get my mom to get for her singing group New Again Ministries really annointed group.

  • Ernie did good on writing this song. Doug does great singing.

  • Tim duncan is the best bass in gospel music since george yonce and these are some the nicest guys you can meet

  • @bigbadjon1 yea so agree luv the bass

  • This song is so much sweet..it is really a blessing testimony-The bass is awesome

  • Doug is the best singer today. And he's so modest and never seeks recognition. He's blessed by the Lord.

  • Great song with a great message!

  • this is an old cathedreals song he brout with him

  • What a great song Sung by a great group

  • Comment removed

  • If you want to hear these guys at their very best watch them sing "Gone", even though Tim Duncan doesn't have a solo you can hear him throughout the entire song. It is INCREDIBLE!!!

  • There are a lot of good new groups, but

this group will keep Southern Gospel

music going strong for many years to

come. May God continue to bless this

    special group. Thank you, BW

  • TIM & DOUG ( bass and baritone) are very good.The Great.....no words........for them.......

  • Lord, I had to sing this in church. It's not as easy as I thought it would be!

  • I'm sure Ernie would be proud that you sang his song--he's the one who wrote it.

  • I love the bass!

  • Yes Tim Duncan(the bass) is very good!5*****

  • Since God changed me from being a self-centered, spoiled rotten, no-good, homosexual, can't keep a job to save my life, to being a born-again Christian on fire for God with a passion to share what Jesus has done for me and care for others however He wants me to, surely He can do the same for any one of you, as well as those who do not have access to a computer.

  • mpr4christ, you bet! Jesus, the miracle worker, is still the same today as when he healed the broken and gave hope to the hopeless when he walked the earth. God bless you, mpr4christ, in your new walk with Him. And, yes, you all, Erinie, Doug, Ryan and Timmy are a Godsend, what incredible talent!

  • I particularly love this song because it applies to me. He recently made a change in me over the past month and I feel brand new! Praise God!

  • thanks for information

  • Ryan Seaton is the lead?

  • no, doug is in this one. and he-s doing a great job also, like allways!

  • I love this quartet.Theyr's voices are greats.5*****:D

  • i love this song!! i wish GVB and Ernie hasse and signature sound would come to england more, im going to the family fest in gatlinburg this year, first time in america, cant wait!! will be awesome, love these guys, god bless!!

  • I totally agree. We don't seem to have anything like this in England. If there is - please let me know...........

  • They will be in England in October

  • Thank you. I'll make a note to attend.

  • thanks, think im gonna have to find myself a ticket! :)

  • I wish they come up north to the Campmeeting

  • I sure do miss George Younce. Ernie Haas has changed it so much, they are still good, just not as good as it was when George was there. One things for sure, that bass could blow anyones mind. Looking at him, he just doesn't look like a bass. He's good though.

  • oh tim has the best bass vocie ever 4 me god bless every body

  • What an excellent bass -- there's no substitute for that rock solid foundation! Also, very nice brass; it's a great combo.

  • You Go Ernie! :)

  • 2:20 cracks me up lol. Gotta love Ernie

  • Sig. Sound is awesome as always!!!!

Doesn't get any better than them!!

  • good song but when Ernie Haase was with the Cathedrals it was WAY better!

  • My choir sings this song, and it is the church's favorite to hear... I'm so happy to see it here!

  • hehe... my vote is still for George Younce! As far as I am concerned he was the man of bass! :D But, things change and this dude (don't know his name) has big shoes to fill, and I am sure he will fill them eventually! He has many years to go!

  • His names Tim Duncan

  • love it.. I love Eh&SSQ. Great Christian Outreach oppurtunity. Our kids would love this too if they had the oppurrtunity. As parents, lets give out kids the oppurtunity. Lets buy tickets and we can do some bonding. Lets make memories.

  • love it.. I love Eh&SSQ. Great Christian Outreach oppurtunity

  • well I have watched both the Cats and ssq videos for this song ... my vote goes to ssq! they bring so much life and excitement to the song.

  • These guys are both GREAT SINGERS and make GREAT PERFORMANCE - PRAISE THE LORD! Why should the devil have all the good perfomance?...and the bassinger looks a lot like a young Sean Connery (James Bond)

  • I sure miss the orignial singers: Cathedrals. I feel like this group's focus is performing....

  • One question...did not David dance before the Lord? And those that tap their feet, clap their hands, and twist a little in the pews while singing in church are also "hip-shaking sinners" I suppose? Please, judge not lest ye be judged..these gentlemen are praising the Lord, and if it's not your style fine...but do not speak against things that you know nothing of. I have never seen them do anything against the Lord or His word. But they certainly uplift it. Just an old sinner's opinion though.

  • You gotta a lot of nerve, Come on down to Texas to God's Country and try blaspheming to the righteous Reverend Dr. Jerry Falwell.
