Man this movie was annoying. Ghost of past did not talk at all, had no role.

Present was just laughing at everything, just used the house as a spaceship.

Future "ride" was just too long and all over the place, shrinking, sliding, chased.

And the volume was ranged from really loud too silent whispering, i went up and down the volume, so i didn't catch half the movie.

Okay usually I find your reviews funny, but this one really struggles.

It's not really a review, more of an attempt to be funny and it fails. Plus hearing one of these guys say that he thinks Dickens was a great writer...wow. How appreciative Dickens must be.

The ghost of christmas present part was not the hilarious segment your laughter suggests.

The blonde guy is the only critic here that says anything of value, most of the time. The guy on the left is annoying, hyper and very dumb

I have to protest one little thing. Firstly, the Jacob Marley showing off all the ghosts is part of the original story. The whole point was for him to show the suffering of Jacob and others like him. The former misers were trying to intervene for good, but since they're dead, their attempts are futile, hence the reason why they suffer. Naturally as Scrooge is still alive, he still has the ability to help.

I have nothing against Jim Carrey, but when I heard he was playing Scrooge, I thought "What C'mon! He plays the same character in every film: crazy and over the top as always." But when i saw the film and saw him playing multiple characters, it showed what a great character actor he can be. I wish Jim can do this more often like Mike Myers, Peter Sellers and Eddie Murphy.

Definetly one of the best retellings of the story, and i must admit, i thought this movie was little over an hour when it ended, in truth it was 2 hours! The 3D is used to good effect for most of the movie and helps create the scene and set the mood, whereas its a bit annoying when it tries to go in your face.

Not to mention Jim carrey really nailed the part perfectly. It isnt better than sex because the third ghost doesnt work well enough. too much 3d, too little scary.

I can definitely see all the points they're hitting here, I watched this review many times (for my own amusement) before going out to see the film. I had a good appreciation for the work, and I totally agree with the ranting but I still plan to buy this movie.

I do hate when it's 3D, but not 'pop out' 3d. To get that out of the screen affect you need two different color lenses and lots of time so not to distort the film you get neutral lenses. Not really 3D, but a more in depth looking film.

I'm not really a fan of CGI, but here I think they do a good job. Also with Jim Carey there have been movies I've seen him in that I didn't like him as much because I'm very aware it's him being himself, but here I was really amazed at all his portrayals. My only real complaint is that this and Where the Wild Things Are seem to sell themselve as family films, but they both kinda scared the kids in the theatre a little too much. I didn't expect the deformed kids in this version. Full Price though

achristmas carol is interesting. each version represents a different genre or era in filmaking while telling the same story, be it comedy (scrooged), new (this), old, (george c scott), or... muppet....

either way, its like giving a picture of a guy to several different artists of several different mediums of several different time periods and saying "recreate this as you see fit"

A friend who is an animator for a pretty well known company, and myself saw this trailer in the theater and had a good laugh. The trailer itself was very inconsistent as far as the art quality went. One second looked rich and detailed, next minute characters look like wood.

Yeah, I kind of figured the whole pratfall stuff would be a bit of a turn-off, especially to put some in the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come moments. To compare another family friendly adaptation "Muppet Christmas Carol" played that sequence straight with little to no comedy.
