Billionaires given a six-figure tax bonus do not and will not need to spend that money. The $250 a poor unemployed person gets goes immediately back into the economy. news organizations and reporters have been mandated from day one to inform the public, which obviously includes pointing out when public officials spin, twist, doctor the truth in such a way as to distort facts
the words "public option" have a far less threatening, more appealing connotation than does "government" as frank Luntz discovered by his polling. Progressives deliberately chose the term to enhance their position unfairly as it turns out

When Sarah Palin said she reads any and all magazines and newspapers, all news outlets reported that she reads any and all magazines and newspapers, even when they were thinking, "My god, this woman is so stupid and full of shit," they didn't print that.

the "public" is obviously the American citizenry that was given the "option" of retaining their current plans or opt out! Clearly, citizens are the "public"
the entirely new concept of government running health care has no right to use the term "public" because the "public" has been given the option as per above points.

No, not at all. Who runs the public schools? The government. The libraries and parks? The government. The word "public" has been used for 50 years or more to name that which the US Government administers on behalf of its citizens.
Furthermore, the new use here of the term "government" is propagandistic in a sense that it conjures images of despotic systems operating outside of public interest. That is not the case with public healthcare ( or medicare as it's called ).

Fox News claims to be a news organization but it acts like a political operation, giving jobs to all the 2012 presidential hopefuls from the Republican party.
