I don't like megan racing stuff, but what bad do you have to say about Rota's quality? Basically they are the same...just WAY cheaper. Unless you're a millionaire I would call you an idiot for buying spoon sw388s or the any of the other wheels that Rota copies. If you are one of those douches that has to buy name brand everything then I will say one thing: you would fit in well in Los Angeles. If it works and it's a good deal it's good. If it's shitty quality don't get it. SImple.
I will say this: I don't like folks who buy Rota and then try to pass them off as the genuine article. I've seen the TE37 and CR Kai Rotas where people put their own Volk and Work decals on them. I'll admit that my comment was a little harsh, and I don't think I'd sport $3k wheels as a winter set, but at the same time, I don't get knock-off fans who insult those who like the brand-name items. The door swings both ways. At the end of the day, buy what you like, right?
Yes, I would say your second comment is much more logical.
I am a college student and there is no way I could afford real SW388s therefore I run Slipstreams. Still light...still get the job done....still look nice, and I have money left to spend on making the car faster. (a 5 thick spoke pattern is not the most unique design btw)
For sure, if I had 30 grand I would buy the real deal, but even then I drive a Subaru and Spoon doesn't make the SW388s in 5x100 bolt pattern....sooooo yeah.
Also I wouldn't pretend I had the CR-Kai's or SW388s because I am more into the sleeper look. That would be like if I put an Si badge on a civic ex or something. I say downplay it-put an EX emblem on an Si lol.
I am actually going to swap my wrx scoop for a scoopless rs hood, then get the black front mount intercooler, and put a TS wagon sticker on the back (that's the N/A Impreza wagon)
Anyway no I see what you mean. Posers are gay, but smart buying is smart buying nonetheless.
You spent $1600 on an exhaust?!?!!? It's nice and all, but for just $700 you could have had a megan racing header, midpipe, and rear section. Which would give you more power. I know it's not as nice of a brand, but it does come with a 1 year warranty. Also the weight difference would be pretty much negligible.
Sorry, I'd rather not have anything than waste money on crap -- they had to recall their headers due to holes in the welds, for example. For the same money you could get a Spoon N1 axleback and b-pipe and have a MUCH better setup than anything Megan if price is an issue. In my case, I bought the J's because it's the best exhaust performance-wise for the Fit, period. The weight savings with the titanium setup are not negligable, it's very close to a 50% reduction in weight over stock.
More bassy than the HKS hi-power. J rocks!

Yeah, but J's is still overpriced. You should just never buy megan...that's just wasting money.

Nice setup and good taste in parts, man. LOL @ the Megan guy. Probably wants you to buy Rotas, too.

j's racing is high quality, but its still too much for an exhaust setup unless ur running turbo...its sounds good tho...

How much ?

J's Racing 50RR titanium full catback. Muffler alone, about $625 USD, though full catback was just over $1600 once shipping's figured in.
