  • Well first off, I hope you're feeling better by now. Secondly, I personally don't think there is a god which also means no afterlife, spiritual realm, etc. As far as what happens after death, I figure it's the same as before birth: nothing. I see patterns in my life events (just like everyone else) and how they benefited or hurt me, but I don't attribute their cause to a god, mostly b/c I don't see a direct link connecting the two. But I do believe in Humanism and everything implied by the word.

  • I believe in people, kindness, & love. Atheist, do not believe in a god or gods, so no religion is required. When we die, our concious cease to exist, our bodies decompose, that's it. Deist, believe in some higher power/god & the supernatural, theist are deist on religion ( they believe in a god that cares & interfers in human matters ). I'm an agnostic atheist meaning, I don't know if there is a god, or gods, but I don't believe there is based on logical reasoning & lack of scientific evidence.

  • @sdacrowe thanks you explained it very well I never heard the word Agnostic Atheist b4

  • This is probably the most calm and "understanding" christian... Thumbs up just for that.

  • @cdickenson64 thank you :)

  • I would like to believe in an afterlife... but I cannot believe in ANY of it. No Gods, no Higher Power at all, no Heaven no Hell, no Afterlife. We have just our 70 or so years on earth, and it's over.

  • @cdickenson64 THAT'S SUCK :( I HOPE THAT'S NOT TRUE

  • No afterlife

    No spiritual realm

    No gods

    Nothing spiritual

    No demons

    Nothing supernatural

Nothing happens when you die, you just die.

  • Personally I don't believe in in a god. I don't believe in a higher power. I don't believe in super natural. I do believe that there could be a natural flow to events that we cannot, so far, perceive and know. To call that thing supernatural would be to give ones power, ones self, over to superstition. We, as humans, have used allegorical text to try to explain the phenomena that exists in our world.

  • Atheism is simply a lack of belief in a god or gods. When I stopped believe in a god, I stopped believing in anything without evidence or logic. I require the same standard of proof for ghosts and demons as i do for any god or any scientific theory. The only thing I've seen that provides any kind of real answer is science.

  • "I'm gonna believe in God, no matter what. No one can talk me out of that." You seem like a nice person, so I don't mean this as an insult in any way, but do you hear how closed off you are to being open to new ways of thinking? What's the point in even learning if you are completely unwilling to be persuaded by new information? Peace, and I hope you've recovered by now!

  • Hi Angie - I think this would take more than 500 characters! I 'believe' (for want of a better word) in the natural order. By which I mean that natural 'things' have COMPLETELY natural causes. Millions of supernatural claims have been made over the course of human history, but every single time that we've ever pulled back the curtain of understanding a little further, the answer has ALWAYS turned out to be 'Not Magic'. I don't see any thing to convince me that this may change in the future.

  • this video seems completely unnecessary. there are plenty of videos already on youtube that you could look up. simply when someone is an athiest, they dont believe in god or supernatural beings of any other nature. thats about it, nothing more than that to be an atheist.

  • I don't believe the following:After life,one God or many Gods,Zodiac,spiritual activity,demons.

I believe that there are aliens, but not those you see in movies or conspiracy theories.

  • There is no reason or any evidence to believe in any god, demons, tooth fairy, spirit etc. An atheist is a person with a position of skepticism. So it is not what we believe as much as we ask you why do you believe in supernatural things and imply we should believe in them too. Basically we are not convinced by the intuitive evidence or lack of it that most people use to try to persuade us into believing in an afterlife.

  • Do we believe in an afterlife? No.

Do you believe in the spiritual realm? No.

Do you believe in more than one god? No (we don't believe in any gods).

Do you believe in the Zodiac type of stuff? No.

Do you believe there is any type of spiritual activity? No.

What do you believe happens when you die? No idea; this is an open question and the last great adventure, so to speak.

Do you believe in demons or the super natural? No.

  • I am an atheist by definition.

    1. unbeliever in God or deities: somebody who does not believe in God or deities

Generally if someone who claims atheist but believes in any pantheon or supernatural beings, I'm not sure if they can really say they are atheist. For me it's a semantic thing.

However, you were very correct when you said "All atheists are different". It seems that it would be hard for someone who wasn't atheist to understand our standpoint without any united front. Good vid.

  • @shirotatsu1 thanks hun :)

  • I don't believe there are any gods, anything you would deem spiritual, no ghosts, no afterlife, no demons, nothing supernatural. Nothing like that at all.

But, I speak only for myself, other atheists may have completely different beliefs, but one thing ALL atheists have in common is a lack of believe in gods.

    Hope that helps.

  • @DrDaveRea thanks for your response :)

  • No afterlife. We go in the dirt and that's that. No spiritual realm. No gods. No demonic entities. Nothing supernatural. "Higher power" is vague. Is the Earth itself a higher power? The solar system? The universe? Are these other words for God? I don't think so. There may or may not be a "creator", I don't know, but if so, I doubt it's any kind of mind or spirit; perhaps just an abstract physical law.

  • @frabjous79 interesting point it makes sense

  • BTW don't take some of the more malicious comments to heart from certain Atheists who may suffer from a very big Ego even if they share a common non-belief as myself. We are ALL products of our environment. If you take a Chinese child and raise him in England he will speak with a British accent & love kippers same goes universally for all humankind. If a person was raised with a parent who had a huge ego the child will pick up those attributes.

P.S. I hope your feeling better soon:)

  • @TheMuskokaman thanks sweetie and yes that is true :)

  • continued..You yourself have to ask yourself is it alright that my belief system says that everyone (5.5billion people)who doesn't accept Jesus as their saviour is doomed to hell for their lack of belief?#2 Should my son's genitalia be mutilated at birth because of my belief system?

#3 Should I as a woman submit to my husband when he is certainly wrong whatever the case?

#4 If my child is unruly should I take him to the edge of town and stone him to death?

These claims are from the bible!

  • @TheMuskokaman I believe in the creator I don't believe that everything in the bible is truth. I think it has some wisdom in it like in the book of proverbs and psalms Im a very spiritual person but I doubt a lot of things in Christianity

  • @angierandomstuff So are you a deist then? I agree there are some sayings in the bible that make good sense as you mentioned but very few. I personally believe Jesus to be one of the great humanists of his era & unlike other Atheists find it counterproductive to slander the man at every turn because a bunch of guys decided to usurp what he was saying and any notoriety he had then for their own purposes. Kinda like a cover band doing a terrible job on a song made by a popular band today!

  • i was going to answer until i found that you are to narrow minded to understand, you need to research a little about many things before you could understand. it is very hard to understand that that there is no god and that to be an athiest you cant think thay there is anything you have just talked about, you are hung up on your "beliefs" and cant see the other side.

  • @tainted705 your wrong... Im vary open minded your the one passing judgment on me, feel how you want to feel no offense taken be blessed

  • @angierandomstuff i beg to differ and do judge you.. and i can.. i dont have any big daddy to that tells me not to judge when he does that to me. i do think you are narrow minded and can't even begin to understand a life without thinking god is real to fill that big scary void it would leave.. you hold it because you need it.. not that you could really be convinced it is true.. if you do think it is, you are lost.

  • Just think of the things you don't believe in such as unicorns, pixies, Thor, etc., and that's exactly how we view god(s). It's difficult for most religious people to conceive comparing their god to those things I just mentioned because most of us were indoctrinated from a very young age to believe in (insert god here). The thing is, knowing there is no afterlife makes each and every day special. When something bad happens to me, it's empowering to know I'm not being *punished*.

  • @Haywerth really liked this comment it made me think. thanks for responding on my vid :)

  • Hi Angie hope all is well. As an Atheist I will attempt to explain though many other atheists may have a different view. Atheism is the default position. Religous people of whom I use to be one have allowed themself to believe in something that they have taken for granted exists because of indoctrination into their belief system. The common thread here is that whether you are Christian or Muslim you are taught that other lines of thought are corrupt and to be avoided at all costs ....continued

  • @TheMuskokaman hey! thanks for the response

  • My belief (as it were) is that the more we understand about the natural world, the less mystery there is. Sickness used to be blamed on disease and famine, but now we know better understanding of medical sciences and better use of resources help to minimise those things happening.

The human mind is capable of some extraordinary things when it comes to trying to rationalise fear (e.g., fear of the dark makes us more alert to sounds/movement we normally are not aware of).

  • @FalseBarber makes sense

  • I don't believe in god(s), spirits, demons, higher powers, afterlife, astrology, witchcraft, fortune tellings, ESP...

I try to follow the evidence, and I haven't seen any evidence that has led me to believe that any of these things exist.

  • nothing, no afterlife, no spiritual realm. no no no , no zeus, no zodiac, nothing, no spiritual activity, when we die , i think what happens to you is the same thing that happened to you 10 months before you were born. NOTHING, you just didin't exist. people that believe in god but not religion are called theists babe. i really hope atheists aren't being rude to this woman. she is just asking questions, that's all.

  • @thereligioussnitch I'm an atheist myself, but I'm honestly starting think that there are atheists who troll Youtube videos just to pick a fight with theists.

  • @Haywerth lol yes I agree with you and theirs also Christians that do the same... people who pick fights with other people on you tube are miserable people in general there not happy in there own life poor things :( i feel bad for them. It doesn't bother me cuz I love to love and have no room for hate anger or bitterness for anyone even those who act ignorant. thanks for commenting be blessed muah!

  • @thereligioussnitch hope that didn't come across as bad, i literally typing "no no nothing..." after you asked each question as it played lol. now that i look back, it looks like i'm being an ass lol

  • @thereligioussnitch lol no your good I don't get offended easily i didn't think you were being an ass and by the way thanks for commenting on my vid

  • @thereligioussnitch You are right on about death. I as an aheist believe that once you die you dont exist anymore kind like when we were not born we did'nt exist. I dont belive in God, religion, or any after life. There is no spirit and there is NO creator.

  • @thereligioussnitch Well you could help start not being rude by not addressing her as babe.

    Maybe people might follow.

People that believe in god and not religion could be more specifically referred to as deists also.

  • @hippydude89 Deism is a belief in a supreme being, who does not interact with the universe after the act of creation. This term chiefly sprung up from the intellectual movement in the 17th-18th centuries, that accepted a creator but rejects human/god interaction on rational grounds (thomas jefferson, for example). Theism is the belief in intervening creator(s), with or without the role of religion. One could still be a theist but not hold to one organized religion.

  • @ErikWithBrain just learned something new today! thanks for sharing :)

  • @driftaway84 i agree the same.

  • I'm a creationist -- I believe man created God.

  • What do you believe in: Naturalism, Humanism.

Afterlife/death: All subjectivity and thoughts are attributed to a physical brain, when brain dies out thoughts die and so no sole.

Spiritual realm/demon: Don't believe cos of lack of evidence.

Astrology: Dont believe, its actually demonstrably false.

Higher power: Dont know what you mean, but i can understand when people say like an Einsteinian god, like the law that govern the universe, but i cannot attribute it to any consciousness.

    Thanks

  • Everything supernatural is just a man made idea made to scare and control people, or to make them feel better or just as a story. That includes God's, spiritual crap, forces of good and evil, any kind of witchcraft / magic, etc etc. The weak minded believe in such things because they have been forced to and don't have the intelligence to stop for 5 minutes and question their beliefs, basic logic alone should tell somebody that it's all lies, but then there is a ton of evidence against it too.

  • we go in the dirt and thats that , no type of creator , no ghosts , no zodiacs

  • Buddhists does not believe in Gods – But believe in higher being/higher existence call Buddha-hood. Buddhists are Atheists

Hindus/Greeks Believing in Gods. They are the true theists.

Abrahamic regions believing in A God (also accept there are more Gods. Exodus 20:3) – They are just one God short of been Atheists

All of above commonly believe in firm belief. Athirst does not believe in firm belief.

  • Q1: Do we believe in an afterlife? A1: No

Q2: Do you believe in the spiritual realm? A2: No

Q3: Do you believe in more than one god? A3: No (we don't believe in any gods)

Q4: Do you believe in the Zodiac type of stuff? A4: No

Q5: Do you believe there is any type of spiritual activity? A5: No

Q6: What do you believe happens when you die? A6: You decompose in the ground

Q7: Do you believe in demons or the super natural? A7: No

We don't believe in things for which there is no evidence.

  • Typically one who is an atheist is one who only believes things that is reason to believe. Atheism follows from this, not the other way round.

Eg. Life after death. There is no reason to think there is life after death. We know that virtually everything that there is that could be called "you", your memories, your desires, your personality, is tied to your brain. Damage the brain in various ways and you can change anything that could be said to be "you". Your brain dies, so do you.

  • I've never really believed in anything supernatural. Maybe I've wanted some magical thing to exist, but I've never had a reason to believe. If I believed stuff that was just magically possible, how would I go about determining if an idea I heard is just somebody's imagination running wild or something real? How would I distinguish reality from my imagination? I would have to accept all possible ideas and never reject any, no matter how silly or weird the idea.

So I say no to souls, zodiacs etc.

  • @2:25 Well you would have to ask that person what the attributes of this higher power are, It may or may be omni-potent, or personal, so its it not I dont its something you'd call god.

Also As per my last comment I spoke to soon Before you clarified that you know all atheist dont have the same beliefs. But yes I think most dont believe in any Super things. I dont see a good reason to think any of these things exist. Whether YHWH or the cosmic teapot they are all equally unsupported by evidence

  • As an atheist I certainly do not represent all others. Given, this information I shall address your questions as best as I can. I do not believe in the supernatural nor do I believe in any deities. To that end I am not sure what you mean by spiritual realm or activities. Astrology is demonstrably false. No afterlife and no demons either. What do you mean by higher power? Have not found any evidence of a creator yet.

  • @newtonphile when I say higher power I'm talking about the Law of attraction, the New Age theory , inner strength, things on that level. My cousin doesn't believe that theirs a God but he practices Wicca, also doe you believe in the forces of good and evil? I got so many questions lol I should have explained a lot more in my video... I might make a part two later on,

  • @angierandomstuff

I do not believe in the so called 'Law of Attraction' or any New Age theory, (i thought Wicca was a specific religion....in any case I do not believe in that either) that I am aware. People do have willpower though I am not sure why that would be called a higher power. Good and Evil are adjectives by which I might describe an action or those that do those actions.

  • @angierandomstuff

Furthermore, why should I believe in anything for which I do not have evidence? If that which we call the supernatural is objectively real, then it will be referred to as part of the natural world.

  • @angierandomstuff Im probably different than most atheists, I am Atheist, meaning I simply do not believe in a conscious creator of any kind. However, personally I do believe in the law of attraction, and my own inner strength that can affect the world around me. But I also do not believe in the forces of good and evil, and I do not believe in an afterlife of any kind.

  • Atheists don't believe in gods. I consider a god to be any conscious agent which is the personification of, or has supernatural dominion over, some or all facets of reality.

Just like everyone else, we atheists believe in that which seems probable based on our personal experience. This doesn't exclude the supernatural, just gods.

The reason for the distinction is that most religions are based on a god concept, and often tend to have a god complex :P

  • @robtbo right down to the point, i like that :) thanks for commenting!

  • No god/gods no spiritual no supernatural no afterlife no Jesus no Satan no.

  • An atheist doesn't believe in any God or Gods.

As for myself, I don't believe in the supernatural. As far as I see, this is it.

  • Just one important fact to point out to you. Atheism is the lack of belief in dieties. The Christian/Jewish/Islamic god. Norse gods, Aztec gods. All gods.

Anything else is generally fair game for each individual to decide upon for themselves.

Personally the supernatural is one big: 'I know something is there, but I dont know what.'

That's not say I think Lucifer is birthing demons into the world, because that'd be ludicrous without credible evidence.

That said, get some nyquil and get well

  • @MrDemocles thank you :)

  • No I don't believe in a after life, no I do believe in a god. According to the bible when you go to the grave and wait till the resurrection. So what are you doing while you wait? Nothing your dead. The zodiac is a pagan concept and I don't believe in that either. I studied the bible since I was 20 and did a lot of research into what I was reading. Also studied with the Jehovah's Witnesses. Now they may seem weird ( and they are) but they do know the bible.

  • Personally, I don't believe in any gods or supernatural entities, such as demons, ghosts, etc. When we die, we're just dead and we don't go anywhere. I believe gods are created in man's image, by man, and all so-called sacred texts were written by man. I can't explain how the world began (if it began and did not always exist), but I believe that some day, scientists will figure it out. I believe in not hurting others, including animals, and in treating nature with respect as it is all we have.

  • I believe when your dead your dead. There's no after life in my eyes. And ghosts, I got in a argument with my sister about some damned ghosts a few weeks back. She said a house was haunted and i said take me there i wanna see ghosts catch some on film or something make some dam money lol. At the end of the day i would gladly believe in god if there was proof.

  • No afterlife, no gods, spirits, ghosts, demons or any supernatural entity.

“I was dead for millions of years before I was born and it never inconvenienced me a bit.” Mark Twain.on death.

  • The answer is The Matrix take the red pill or the blue pill. LOL :)

  • forever in a constant dream state, or maybe just live in some other realm parallel to this one...I don't believe in the devil either which i couldn't since the bible god made the devil...a higher power isn't really confusing to understand it's someone that believes in a higher power being but just not the god that's spoken of in the bible...shoot that higher power could be a being from another planet, some universal entity, a group of powerful beings, we don't know..but that's just my take on it

  • "What do you believe in?"

This nonsense question has been asked to death.

If you were intelligent enough to know what a atheist was you wouldn't be asking...

But of course the concept of thinking goes beyond the basic drivel of a layman.

Let me ask you as a theist what do you believe in besides religion?

Do you believe tomorrow the sun will set?

Or do you believe that dropping out of school ruined the chance for you to think intelligently?

  • @sykeo123 thats why Im asking you retard! cuz i don't know wtf an Atheist is duh! don't look at my vids if your going to get your boxers crammed up your ass!!!! this video is for my friends that there Atheist that commented on my Video about "does God Forgive"

  • @sykeo123 read all my comments...everyone has different opinions on what atheist is to them. to answer your question I do believe that there is a higher power I believe in the spiritual realm & I believe there are things we just wont know until we actually die. I don't believe the bible is accurate.

  • @angierandomstuff " everyone has different opinions on what atheist is to them."

Exactly, Thats why your questions seem like you are asking about atheist in general. But this nothing the follows from not believing in a god, Their are even Atheistic religions like Buddhism or Jainism. Atheism is just a position on one claim. Its like asking What do non-stamp-collectors collect?

Personal I dont have Any Super/natural/stitious Beliefs.

  • @sykeo123 what? how are her questions nonsense. she had honest questions and was very respectful. yes, i'm an atheist. i don't think she understood what "theist" meant so you asking a question stating theist can't be answered correctly. i get so sick of atheists being dicks just for the sake of being dicks

  • @thereligioussnitch thanks hun

  • @sykeo123 This is not a nonsense question; the information age has just arrived, so this sort of query could not be posed in earlier times. This is a positive dialog that can foster understanding of the perspectives of others; no need for rudeness.

  • To me being more of agnostic than atheist I don't believe in the bible god...there could be more than 1 god shoot maybe even a couple of them I don't think it may be like the whole "Zeus" factor though...these gods could just be aliens from a distant planet for all we know...I don't think there are zodiac gods lol...I believe in spiritual activity in the world which makes me wonder what will happen after we die like is there a heaven or hell(I doubt it) I think we either are reincarnated, sleep

  • still beautiful angie boo don't worry your a beautiful woman

  • @pacedeli24 Awww thanks "blushing" :)

  • I’m an Atheist and so is my Girlfriend. An Atheist is simply someone who does not believe in any god or gods. A person who believes in a god without religion is called a Deist. I do not believe in any supernatural or spiritual world and my girlfriend she does have belief in re-incarnation and also ghosts. I believe when we are dead we there is nothing more that follows that and will be like sleeping forever. I hope this helps answer some of your questions.

  • @merrychefs thanks for your answer :) very helpful and thank you for not getting offended that I asked.

  • *part 3

Ok I have an Idea, Imagine an atheist as a blank canvas , now put onto that blank canvas all that can be proven to be true ..... That is an atheist.

  • *part 2

I think you do not understand what an atheist is , no atheist believes in spirituality for lack of evidence, a spiritualist believes in spirituality. A deist believes a non-interfering "god" exists. So many definitions and labels . lol.

  • Basically you cannot generalize atheists.

For instance I don't "believe" in anything in the context of the way you are using the word , I don't think a "god" exists based on the lack of evidence , I am atheist in regards to rejecting all religion for lack of evidence supporting it, I am agnostic too for I do not dare state with conviction that a "god" definitely does not exist for that would be childish , So no I do not think a "god" exists no more than I think a talking moon exists.

  • We do not believe we go by the facts. When you die your body turns into ashes and beyond that we do not know. When you die you cease to exist for all eternity. There is no supernatural as it has not been proven. We look for proof for all things. So as of today there is no proof of god. I personally think that man created god from his own mind. So here is my belief, Man is God and God is Man! Proud Black Atheist!

  • There are Atheistic religions, such as a portion of Buddhism, same for a portion of Wiccan who still believe in demons and magic, but not god whilst other Wiccans believe in both. Anyone who believes there is no god is atheist. Atheist, doesn’t mean “I’m sure there’s no god” it means there is a total lack of evidence of god at the present, so until that comes fourth, if ever I will not believe. Agnostic is the “I’m not getting into this” whilst Theism is the “I believe there is a god”

  • First off, Atheism is derived from the Greek word Atheos meaning "Without god" That is our one and only universal rule. The lack of belief in a deity. Now, >personally< I am a Atheist Skeptic, i.e I question the supernatural, afterlife etc and ask for evidence before belief. When you said the Zeus, Greek thing you are mentioning a Multi Theistic religion, like Pagan, Norse Hindu etc, that's not Atheist. Christianity, Judaism etc is Mono Theistic, meaning one god.

  • The answer is the Matrix, take the red pill or the blue pill. LOL

  • @OGsavine lol :)
