You left the best part off. One month after the impact, a black spot appeared on Jupiter. It received very little press. Why? Because we nuked the mo-fk'n planet with plutonium pellets. OOOPS!!! The plutonium capsules gradually descended through the thick atmosphere until they reached a supercritical point and imploded into a nuclear chain reaction.

@JLjuju There is recording from the probe, I saw it like ten years ago on Discovery Channel, but I can't find it on youtube. It was rather poor quality, but it was real.
