I picked up a Kriss off a soldier I killed in Agroprom (near the entrance to the territory) but it was in such a horrible condition I didn't want to bother spending a mass amount of money repairing it. I have a hunch it depends how many story-line missions you've done
I've found about half a dozen MACs on mercs in Rostok. I sold a fully loaded LR-300 in perfect condition (the one found in the stash in the crane) to Kruglov so he could defend himself better. When I sold it to him, a MAC appeared in his inventory, so I bought it from him.
Someone on the ZSG forum once told me that once if I remembers correctly. A compact 9x39mm carbine (no sound suppressor) that fits in slot-2. "SR-3 Vikhr" would be the full name. There are supposedly military stalkers with KRISSes in Pripyat but I never encountered a single one.
The minigun is supposedly somewhere in the area around the plant itself, a soldier near a BMP (or BTR?) has it. I have yet to find the Kriss, and I was wondering, did oblivion lost really add the Vikhr? Because I have never heard of it being added, and have you fought the "Immortal" Controller that supposedly lives near the NNP?
Haven't fought that Controller yet. I think it appears after you destroy the Collective. WHICH soldier has the Minigun and does he actually use it? There are a lot of BTRs around the NPP and I killed lots of soldiers and Monolithians. Never found a Minigun on anybody.
Don't put it as a priority, I may be wrong. I just distinctly remember picking up SOME weapon but not having .45 ACP ammo for it. I'm also running OL 2.1, not 2.2, so that may make a difference.
Also, isn't a Vikhir a type of missile mounted on an Mi-24 Hind-F?
The AK-74/GP-25 combo (sans scope) seems to fit well with my gameplay style. That's why I stick with it even in Pripyat. I have an easier time aiming with the GP-25's quadrant sight than with the Groza's ladder sight. In real life, I bet the ladder sight's more user-friendly. I don't know for sure. Might have to ask a Russian grenadier.
2.2 and 2.1 for 1.0005 is same i don t see changes

I feel for you Iggy, I fucking walked ALL around the NPP to no avail.
I do have Kriss though, forget where I picked it up. Think I got it form Rostok or Freedom.
Also, never heard of an SR-3 being in this, i'de fucking love one though.
I'm gonna check the Configs to see if the guy was on about OL ARSENAL mod.

I've done everything previous to the NPP on this play-thru. Sidequests wouldn't matter, I imagine.

All I know is that a soldier near the entrance of the NNP should be "Walking Around" with it, and I think he does use it.

What is Stancia? Is that the actual reactor and the vicinity to it?
Also, I do believe that the Kriss is in the garbage, in the bed of a truck when you first walk in. Don't quote me, though.

@PrimoVids Vikhr is a missile mounted on Ka-50 and Ka-52 if I recall correctly. Don't about Mi-24 remember.
