Yeah but it's not a fair comparison, the world was so different when Elvis was popular. The global music and entertainment industry was nowhere near what it was in the 80's back in the 1950's. The Beatles made a bigger splash the U.S. Europe and Australia than Jackson did, I would say, but they didn't have access to a lot of the world for the same reasons that I described above. Who knows if they would have gone over as big though.

These videos were taken when there was no youtube, facebook, or twitter. I remember singing and dancing to Michael's fans in the 70's and 80's and there was not even an internet back then. Yahoo started in the 90's.
Michael has lots of fans all over the world. Regardless of gender, age, race, or religion. Michael is the best performer in the history of the world. No one comes even close!

@dacostah The media was smaller then and people around the world were not connected as much as they are now. That is why stars could be bigger in the 80's and now than they could be in the 60's, 50's and 40's.

and i wasn't just talking about entertainers anyway, you said the most "famous person to ever live", not the most famous entertainer. He was the most entertainer, due in part to when he lived.

@Onieracraft People that do not even like the U.S loves michael. Every were he went he was mobbed by fans. Russia anywhere! You cannot compare mediocre beatle songs To superhero dance moves. Michael was singing and dancing at the age of 5. Kid michael can beat the beatles. Michael would toe stand on the beatles. In Japan a Japanese girl dropped to her knees screaming. He only made a couple of moves to make her do that. In Germany a woman asked if she could please hug him as she cried happytears
