  • I'd rather called this video 'good granny's guide'...

  • If experiencing post menstrual emotional problems, leave, go stay at your mother's house and come back when you've straightened yourself out.

Expressing gratitude at being given your allowance and not asking for another penny is mandatory.

Ensure your husband is sexually pleased and any sort of a return favor from him will be construed as you having a gratification disorder. So don't ask.

  • Rick Santorum agrees with this message.

  • Hahaha xD

  • My husband does wear the pants in the house. He also gets the last words in during our discussions. I just tell him which pants to wear and his last words are always "Yes Dear."

  • @Sillyvicen So your husband is basically a weak wimp, that are pussy whipped. And you’re proud of this?

  • @Carpediem8110101 Yes, I am very proud of my husband who passed all phases of training at Coronado and Virginia, then became a firefighter after his time in the USN. Neither of the which position would qualify him for being a weak wimp, either physically or mentally. I feel very loved by him, since he chooses to be that way with me. We would never take advantage of each other, but he understands "If Mama's not happy, nobody's happy."

  • didnt know they had fucking microwaves in the 1950s

  • @easyfatchick666 The microwave was invented in the 40s, so yeah they had them in the 50s but were very expensive.

  • HAHA Loved the HOAX!! Love the Movie!! hhahaah!!.. Yeah It was a Hoax.. but so funny..

  • Believe it or not these are real tips from a 1950's book on how to be a good wife...wth?!

  • Going to this much trouble is completely humiliating to me as a woman and completely unnecessary. All a woman needs to do is show up naked with beer.

  • @jtking2504 And you need food, lots and lots of food.

  • @jtking2504 Or, maybe in a French maids outfit...

  • That wife looks insane! She has this look in her eye like she's going to kill the husband in his sleep.

  • Shoot, if my husband were able to fully support the family with his income, I would love to make the house spotless and have a hot meal ready. In this day and age, we both have to kill ourselves at full-time jobs, come home exhausted, and live off a McChicken on the way home from work. Reality is fun.

  • .Well, I never married..but if I had, I wish I had seen this video first, to ensure that my marriage would last..and..all you Wives, and Wannabe Wives..take note of this very important message..Gee, aren't you relieved you may have found out in time to save your marriage...Bahahaha...This is hilarious..:)

  • FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • i dont understand any og these

  • -- It's true in the man's eyes- what ever they have to say is more important than the wife's--- most men just think what women say is pointless- which is invalid but eh :/

  • @22rosethorn Is this what your husband told you to say?

  • @Hyperplaterine -.- i'm unmarried my friend.

  • im a dude and a woman like this would be wack

  • um, your the bitch. I did nothing to you. WHat money? Seriously? I am in between jobs and rather scrounge on my savings then ask my man for his...so what do you say to that? Your probley just a insulter being your wife is a blowup doll. YOUR TURN! :)

  • Good advice for a good woman. I can only add that baby talk will get her everything.

  • Eh, I don't mind doing this stuff for my husband. I love him so much and I enjoy making myself pretty for him and greeting him at the door when he comes home from a long day at work, and making sure there's a good hot meal ready since I know he's always hungry after work. I know if our roles were reversed, he'd do the same for me since we love each other and care for each other so much.

  • @angelbunny9783 I honestly cant tell if you're being serious or sarcastic.

  • @angelbunny9783 just in case that this wasn't irony!

what do you mean by if our roles were reversed?if you were the man or if you were the jobholder?

making yourself pretty-fine,greeting him-fine,cooking-fine,i'm even fine with doing ALL the housework since he seem to be the one working but what about the rest? like "he's the master of the house","you have no right to question him","never complain","make the evening his","his topics of conversation are more important than yours"?

  • @angelbunny9783 maybe you can try reversing roles for a while just to make sure ;-)

  • @angelbunny9783 Yes, you enjoy it. And that´s so nice... but no reason to make other people do the same. when you do it for pleasure is easy, when is an obligation it sucks

  • @angelbunny9783 Nothing wrong with that at all. It'd only be ridiculous if it was the standard for everyobody.

  • @qwerty1qwerty1123 No it wouldn’t, for if angel bunny’s life where the standard it would be seen as the norm and thus viewed as healthy, natural and normal.

  • @angelbunny9783 A real women and real love. Beautiful

  • i have a table just like that at 16 seconds.perfect cond.

  • Ha ha ur funny but no -.- how about the other way around forget this shit I mean if my husband is gonna throw away the food I worked hard cooking for I won't be smiling and nodding I'd be like "well damn if u don't like my food then make ur own damn sandwich" psh throw away my food...smh

  • Watch the video and try to enjoy the comical message. Get a life. This is humor-not your pathetic existence.Go to another site to vent your shit.

  • People, i'd love to debate, but I have to get to work. A right my bra burnder Grandmother got for me, lol. Cya

  • @mizcamaro *Burner.* I really need to get new contacts, can't even see what I am typing...

  • I hope the women watching this realise this is exactly the wife men still dream about. I'd walk over hot coals for a girl like this, but they don't exist anymore.

  • @ttasi7 Not everyone does. I would be fed up if a married a woman like this.

  • Dear god, I'm glad I wasn't born in the '50s.

  • @thatoneweirdo1 Well if you were born in the 50's you'd be 30ish in 1980! so not that bad!

  • @emeliUK I was commenting on the fact that 50's culture would not do well for my less-than-ideal-houswife attitude, not the fact that I'd be about 60-something if I was. Age is but a number!

  • Where did you get the music track?

  • awesome, fifties music :D

  • I mean this is a LITTLE sexist, but overall i think that yeah, this is how a wife SHOULD behave. There should also be a Good Husbands Guide. I think people should still act this way, because relative to this, we all act like lunatics now. If someone frozen in the 50's woke up today, they would be appalled.

  • @11gcorona correction if a MAN in the 50's woke up today, they would be appalled.

  • I think men secretly dream of a wife that will share in the responsibilities of maintaining a nice standard of living. Share in the finances, and maintenance of the house without expecting hubby to 'take care of it". Help in the decision making. Use common sense when it comes to budgeting the finances. Not "Let's borrow more money honey..."! No wonder I waited so long to get married, and I'm still not sure the wife I did marry uses more than 10% of her brain about decision making.

  • Lady's, it so God damn simple to keep us happy. HEAD. It's that simple, and yet it's the one activity that seems to vanish like a fart in the wind after the relationship has been going on for awhile. It's like you bitches trick us into a relationship by gulping copious loads of our man-goo, then after about 18 months or so, you treat it like it's some miserable chore. Then you have the nerve to complain when we seem unhappy. Quit being so stupid and suck some dick. Your man will be happy...

  • @LiquidTokyo right on man!

  • @LiquidTokyo Wow, with a mouth like that, you should suck your own dick. No women would want to be with your pathetic ass.

If I were your chic, Id cut your dick off. mwahahahah!

  • men are getting less and less every year. i dont see happy marriage nowadays. because women take over everything and complain about everything.

  • men worked their ass off to feed us, women. the only way to win a man;s heart to cook him a meal and give blow jobs.

  • Very funny, thanks! I remember this guide. I have seen it in several places including a clipping from the original magazine that my mom had saved from when she was a young woman. Even then, it caused a bit of a backlash among certain readers. My mom never again picked up one of these particular magazines but switched to Good Housekeeping ...... which wasn't really any better about giving good advice to smart young women who wanted an education or job and not just a new last name.

  • A WOMAN IS THE SKIN AROUND THE VAGINA

  • you mean to tell me, when we get married, we have total memory loss and require instructional videos on how to function. Is that one of those necessary wedding gifts? LOL LOl LOL !

  • What a wonderful video. Women listen up! We are headed back to these days again!

  • @TheContemplator07 What do the men show? What would be in the Good Husband's Guide?

    Just curious...

  • lol

  • Guys, quit fighting. If a person holds a certain belief, then let them believe it. It doesn't mean that you have to do what they believe in. Everyone has their individual beliefs and if they are happy with it, then who are you to say otherwise?

  • If i wanted a happy, attentive women to greet me at the door I would have never got married.

  • @AMilitantAgnostic As Al Bundy once said, "all day it's 'hack em off hack em off hack em off', and all night it's 'here boy here boy'.

I'd rather pay for a hooker or pickup a slut than half my salary to a woman who doesn't cook/clean/fuck, can take my kids, get pregnant just to get money from me for 20 years, and legally, no bullshit, fuck another man, have his kid & tell me it's mine, divorce me, take half my stuff, and LEGALLY GET CHILD SUPPORT after DNA tests prove it's not mine.

  • @redreaper2020 Sounds like you are finding the wrong woman, I know lots of chics who like paying for their own stuff and can't stand the thought of being a mom. Im one of them. lol

  • @mizcamaro Yay.

Unfortunately, you just mentioned one comment below cutting off a dick. I'm sorry. That's just as barbaric as female genital mutilation.

Truth is, Feminism isn't fair. Women can work or can be housewives, while men have to work. No choice. Now that you got "equality", you're forced to work--lower wages due to larger labor pool. Nice going

    If a man cheats he's a monster, a woman, she's liberated. A man doesn't want a kid, he's a deadbeat; woman, abortion.

  • @redreaper2020 well, you are incorrect. I am 25, so in high school, if a guy cheats, he's a player, if we cheat, were sluts. In my generation, you don't want that rep as a slut. To give u a example, my sis broke up with her B.F, just because she went on a date within a week of being single, she became known as a slut...does that sound right? No! Does that sound so "liberating" to you? NO. We don't work lower wages, we have the same wage (minimum).

  • @mizcamaro I know of no woman working the same non-labor job as a man making significantly less than him save for reasons of seniority. The "average income" of women is lower because some don't work, and many work part-time or less skilled jobs--though in the future, with our bottoming wages, they'll have to. That's what feminism fucked up--work is unpleasant for either sex and now both HAVE to do it just to stay afloat. Wages fell because of a larger labor pool.

  • @redreaper2020 Well, us woman have the right to work as much as you, (i'm assuming your a guy). But you have to keep this in mind, everything can't be great 100 %. You usually have to give up something to make something happen. Women working, more of bottoming wages because of the bigger working pool. Or, to get something you want, you have to pay, which is giving up your money, but you get something in return. Your entitled to your opinion.

  • @redreaper2020 Don't take it personally, but do your live in the US?

  • @redreaper2020 Oh, I don't mean to have a good time hitting the reply button...do you honestly think I would cut someone's dick off? I wouldn't want someone to cut my finger off. I was simply offended. Thats all.

  • @mizcamaro I'd imagined as much lol

I'm not some conservative monster (I'm actually liberal), it's just that feminism has gone too far. Guys are saps on TV (your average household product ad--have you ever seen the husband look like the smart one?), divorce laws are insane, we make barely enough to live and no more than women even though we take the dangerous and dirty jobs and twice the unemployment. Feminism has turned into male-bashing, and that's not fair to EITHER sex.

  • @redreaper2020 Oh, and I don't think your a conservitive monster. I don't know who invented these divorce laws. I do think it's not fair that men could possibly lose things they had before the marriage. I have pride. I wouldn't want my ex's golf clubs, there his? Why should I have themThats why I don't believe in marriage, it's to much of a mess, and I feel it's not needed anymore. Love should be what bounds you together, not a certifacate.

  • @mizcamaro to add to it, marriage is "betting half your stuff you two will last". Many modern women don't take care of their bodies, their homes, and laugh at the idea of making their husband a nice dinner after work. Since we don't benefit from this arrangement, marriage rates are plummeting (wonder why).

We're portrayed as saps on TV, fucked in the legal system, deal with fat sluts who are lauded for it, and only paid more because we take the risks(95% of work-related fatalities)

  • @redreaper2020 Well, the question is, would you do the cooking, cleaning, holding in your thoughts and opinions, pretty much doing everything but a job if your wife worked? Also, you should keep in mind, the women staying at home theory comes from arranged marriages. Due to women being property and not being able to work, a man had to be her meal ticket. Considering women can work, and pretty much do whatever we please, in which that should be how it is. Get w. the times dude.

  • @mizcamaro Cooking/cleaning/being quiet is easier. If a man had that option, most would take it in a heartbeat; if not, then due to pride (manliness & grooming) rather than ease. It's better for house & family for one parent to be able to actually be the one raising their kid, not spongebob. I didn't say that they shouldn't be able to work, but the demand for equality isn't actually equal anymore, it's a double standard.

  • @redreaper2020 Wellm, try it in this perspective. You have to ask your spouse for money, you can get cabin fever, skid mark stains in underwear, and no matter how hard you try, someone ungratful thinks you will clean it all the time, a example is never cleaning up after yourself. Honestly, it's called birth control. If you feel you cannot raise a child while working, have it, stay home with it until they can help themselves, or don't have them.

  • @mizcamaro But you stupid bitches still like to spend a man's hard earned money.

  • these days women are too fat to do housework

  • I like to say that my husband and I speak about everything and then the final decision is his. That is how it has been in my family for...ever. Thankful, I married the male version of me and we agree about everything but whose turn it is to take out dog out.

  • I do not agree that anyone's (husband or not) "topics of conversation" are more important then mine. I do believe that a woman's purpose is to serve a family be it a working mother or a stay at home mother. I am actually working on a blog which was inspired by "The Good Wife" article. I think a woman should find a balance between the old school class and modern day empowerment. Woman and man are equal but we were created to serve our husbands, who should respect us. I like to say (continued)

  • @vikkime434 You are a fundie christian, aren't you?

  • @ vikkime434 and ColibriAnna08...before you judge me, check out my website: educatedhomemaker (dot com). You have NO idea who I am and what I am about otherwise you wouldn't say what you are saying. I am on YOUR side for crying out loud!! Sheesh! But this video...seriously?? You take this seriously?? His topics of conversation are more important than yours? A good wife always knows her place? This video is making fun of the 50's fake ideal, not real, happy, everyday housewives/homemakers.

  • Master of the house.. no right to voice an opinion or question him... wives knowing their place... If relationships were really like this in the past all I have to say is.... Thank God for Feminism. Hooray!!!

  • This is absolutely hilarious. My grandmother, of course, and my mother too, for that matter, were homemakers but were NOTHING like this, because this is NOT REAL (for all you people who think that going back in time means being like these women). Women were ladies back then, and they had real relationships with real men just like they do now, only back then they often cared for their children themselves instead of leaving them to someone else to raise. I'm so glad my mother raised me.

  • @jenisacutiepie Sweetheart, were you a woman in the '50's? No? Then shut it. The individual experiences of your mother and grandmother are not a reasonable means of judging an entire generation and society.

  • @ColibriAnna08 Wow...LOL. Hit a nerve did I? If you read my comment carefully, I am A. LOVING this video because it's funny (and I believe it was meant to be funny) and B. AGREE with the video that this kind of homemaker is "made up" or not realistic. If you study history and read some historical non-fiction books, you will understand this kind of homemaker hilariously portrayed here was practically non-existent. Chill, honey.

  • @jenisacutiepie A nerve? Naw... I find it was you who first got your panties up your crack and needs to "chill". Actually, I frequently read about society in this era, and yes it was this way. Career girls were severely looked down upon. It was believed a girl couldn't possibly be happy if she wasn't married and didn't have children.

  • @ColibriAnna08 Okay, you are seriously confusing me. You are misinterpreting my messages and totally not making any sense. I do NOT look down upon career women even if society did back then. But what does that have to do with anything I've posted? I"m not even upset, let alone mad, so I don't know why you attacked me in the first place. I am a career woman myself, but I was first a mother and homemaker. How is this offensive to you? I do not understand you vehemence. I truly don't.

  • @ColibriAnna08 Also, what is your point? Let me try to make mine more clear. The article from which this video was made is a portrayal of the "ideal homemaker" which is both unrealistic in my view (have you even watched this video and read the article?) and I believe never truly existed in a real woman. Now, that said, I believe there have been and still are REAL homemakers who keep neat homes, care for their husbands and children and love that as a career. I was one of them....

  • @ColibriAnna08 Now I am pursuing my dream as a sign language interpreter as I finish raising my youngest child. As for the era, I believe women were being stifled by this kind of propaganda portrayed in the article about being the "perfect homemaker" and encouraged to make homemaking their career by such articles, advertisements, television programs etc. I see nothing wrong with that, I am simply stating that for those who believe that the women portrayed in the ads and on TV were REAL....

  • @jenisacutiepie Look, all I am saying is that in the '50's career girls were demonized and told they are selfish and can't possibly be happy without a husband or kids. I never claimed that you were saying that. Even today, some of those traditional beliefs about a woman's place being in the home are held. Women being mostly restricted to the home was a reality in those days. That's all I am saying.

  • @ColibriAnna08 Now I disagree with you entirely. I believe that today, homemakers are demonized! We women who CHOOSE to stay home to raise our children are told we are lazy, uneducated, unfulfilled etc. We are told we are not feminists which is SO untrue in my case. I just simply chose to stay home to raise my children because I WANTED to be the one to raise them. Now I am in the throws of my career and loving that too. You've missed my point from the very start.

  • @ColibriAnna08 ...they were no more real than the "perfect" women portrayed in commercials and on television are today (with the exception of perhaps Rosanne and Debra Romano. I DO however believe that women DID stay home for the most part and care for their families and homes. What about any of this is so offensive to you? I just really don't get why you are so angry with me. The first thing you said to me was quite offensive, and I just don't understand why you would be upset.

  • @jenisacutiepie My grandmother was This Kind of Wife. She still is and she does not have any regrets. I think you women who think This Kind of Wife is unrealistic are jealous because you're just not capable of doing what they did. These women had class and new how to keep a family. What does the modern women have? Usually, their selfishness, and me me me attitude drive her family away and they end up in divorce. A house wife deserves respect. It is hard work to put others first.

  • @vikkime434 You also think I am a modern feminist who does not believe in being a housewife?? OH my GOSH! You guys really don't read my posts, do you? I got married young, had three children and was a stay at home mom PROUDLY while raising my children. I waited to finish my education until my children were in school. When my youngest child was going through a VERY difficult time during Jr. High, I walked out of school (and lost money) to home school her. She is fine now, happy....

  • @jenisacutiepie you home schooled your kid?thats the worse thing you could have done.the purpose of school is to teach how to get along with others.bad move bad mommy

  • @vikkime434 and well adjusted. I owe it to the fact that I put being a wife, mother and homemaker first. My mother also is a homemaker even though she is a Grandmother and has no children at home. She is the best homemaker I know. My Grandmother was also a homemaker and still is baking bread and gardening at 94! You guys who don't even KNOW me are being critical and disparaging simply because I say this kind of woman portrayed is unrealistic. I believe the husband and wife are BOTH the head

  • @vikkime434 of the home and should work together as a team, each with their own roles: the husband as provider and wife as mother and nurturer of the children. Does this mean the wife should be like the women in this video? NOPE! Have you listened carefully to this video? A wife should be loving and considerate and kind, and so should the husband. This is ridiculous! I think YOU guys are afraid to be individuals and think for yourselves. I am sorry you think you must be subservient wives.

  • @ColibriAnna08 Were YOU a woman in the 50's? Do you read Reminisce magazine? It's my favorite magazine, and nowhere in the memories are women who were perfect as portrayed in this video. They were just NORMAL which was my point in the first place.

  • wife1 was really hot

  • There were no microwave ovens until the late 70's.

  • @rowlettr that's not true

  • @neepl8 The microwave shown on the fake video above, looks like one that was produced since 2000.

There were some models available in the late 1950s, but were not widely used until the late 1970s.

  • @rowlettr if only your original comment stated what you wrote when replying to me...

  • Don't forget ladies, if you ever get the desire to live in the "old" days" that this was what was expected of you, and the further back you go, the worse it gets so, enjoy yourself, ya never had it so good.:)))))))))))))))))))

  • Song?

  • pff...ye, like Im gonna do that ;)

    good video though

  • O_o they think I'm gonna do that?!

  • god if they slump like that longer their absll turn to jelly.

  • I didn't know there was that brand of mouthwash in the 50s lolwut

  • He is the master of the house! the f$ck he is.

  • is this real?? lol is 2011

  • you guys should have aged the video.

  • fake!!!

  • where's the goddamn original video?

  • @3DPeter This is the original video. It's a reenactment of an ARTICLE from 1955. The video is from 2004, but the tips are real.

Reading the desctription helps alot ;)

  • @catwomisen i saw a 50'version of this, so that's what i'm looking for.

  • Yes, and also throw your brain away because a good wife does not need to think for herself - the husband will do it for you. Because having a brain (which is not correctly washed) might make you think that living only for your husband coming home is terribly dull.

  • Guys !!! R u guys prefers this type of 1950's house wife or 21st century independent leading her own career wife ? Just curious and wanna know 2011 guys . I already knew what 1950's guys like :s ewww

  • Bitches were ugly in the pretend 50's.

  • Most, if not all, man secretly dreams of a warm house in which a good, sweet housewife is there. Is there a professor / researcher out there? Please conduct this simple research. Ask 1000's university male students: what is the criteria for their future wives? Is it a Career Woman, or a Good Housewife? The better one will be essay-type test. But if that is daunting, then one can devise simple multiple-choice questionnaire.

  • @fajar96te I think the results would be the same or you'd get even more yes's if asking 1000 university students regardless of gender whether (if it was legal) they'd like to have a slave who's also satisfyed with being one.

  • hey does any MAN out there know where i could find one of those ?

  • Lmfao!!

  • so they had laptops and flat screen TVs in the 1950s?

  • When's the funeral?

  • Women should take this to heart.

  • @bervy8 Why are you out of your cubicle?!

  • fucking sexist assholes.

  • if womwn behaved like this now the world would be a better safer place..........

  • Oh, no. A considerate wife. I would sure hate to work hard for a woman who puts me first like I put her first. Notice it was not necessary to tell the MEN to get it together...

But, yes, this does invite criticism, but not of the man.

  • lmao!! love it!!

  • lol the narrator
