Saigon fell in 1975 after the North broke the treaty and staged a conventional invasion of the South. Yes, Britain was bombing Germany, unfortunately Britain was bombing working-class parts of Hamburg (a place Hitler rarely visited because of the ill-feeling towards him there), who largely never voted for the Nazi party, was largely Catholic and could've been allies of ours.
