My Dobermann used to do this ALL the time! On one side of the fence he became good friends with one of the neighbours, haha, and he even cried when he would go. So now that that's finished, let's get back to the argument. Cropping ears has been done for centuries, and it also has been proven to limit ear infections. My dane's ears are down, and he has had two infections.

Cropped ears look great. They are about as painful as me getting circumcised.

Danes are the best. I've had 7 durning my lifetime. The absolute best ever was named Briar and I lost him to femur cancer years ago.The last 4 months of his life he was on pain meds to keep him comfortable, but still lost some weight and weighted 164 when he died.I still choke up about him - he's waiting at the Rainbow Bridge.

Arrrg. I hope breeders come up with a way to breed out cancer in danes. It happens too often to this breed! I know a few people who've lost their danes to bone cancer, one at only 6 months old. Sorry about Briar!
